We recently got diagnosed with autism and we came to find out we were misdiagnosed with adhd. Nothing too shocking about that we mostly expected that. The thing that's really upsetting is the lady said we don't have ptsd because we don't get frequent nightmares. We do get nightmares, but we tend to forget them, or we just wake up in a disoriented cold sweat. Plus, we get violent and crippling flashbacks. We also avoid triggers like the plague, but no, we don't have ptsd. We definitely aren't going to trauma therapy because of ptsd, definitely not (/sar). Like what the fuck. The lady knows our past and knows our triggers because she needed our history, but no. You ABSOLUTELY 100% NEED NIGHTMARES THAT YOU REMEMBER because if not then you aren't traumatized enough. BRO.
