Synopsis of the movie "Goodbye, My Lover" (prequel of Post Truth) according to recordal at China Film Administration (spoiler below)
"Highschool teacher Han Lu met bar owner Feng Qiang near her school. After knowing each other for some time, they fell in love. Han Lu was suddenly taken ill and wanted to break up, but Feng Qiang didn't give up on her and was determined to spend the rest of the time with her. Han Lu's 30th birthday was coming when Feng Qiang died in an accident..."

This is Feng Qiangqiang (冯锵锵, funny name), new member of the by48. Although he appears only for a few seconds as the Easter egg of the movie Post Truth, according to director Da Peng, he's the "biggest plot twist"😜. Who knows. Maybe we could learn more about this character in the future.

Bai Yu talked about Lin Yan, the director of A Loser's Diary (0.5 Diors), who is also the director of Grow Up, Hello Joann (where Bai Yu played supporting roles) and his upcoming drama Take Us Home.
"The director gave me a lot. On the third day, she already reprimanded me heavily. After that I went out, thinking alone. I sat there for a while when she came again and explain to me calmly that I should set myself free while acting this role, how I should do this or that and etc. I suddenly felt a breeze that warmed my heart. I realized that she reprimanded me for my own good. I was very touched at that time and thought to myself that I had to act well this role."
Lin Yan: The words that I spoke most to Bai Yu (on set) were: "Wake up! It's already working time. Get your tongue straight and speak your lines with rhythm. If he still couldn't do it, we filmed another scene instead and let Bai Yu face the wall and reflect on himself." 😂

2021/08/31 China Movie inteview: Li Xuejian is my example of an actor
"From university till now, my understanding of acting has never changed. I watch every work of mine. And whenever I watch one, I wonder if given a second chance, I'd do a little better.
I was very lucky to be able to participate in a project like Young Marshal when I just started my acting career. I was able to have a close look at actor Li Xuejian. Both his ways of acting and living aspired me. (In a 2022 interview, Bai Yu further explained it: "I want to be like actor Li Xuejian: simple and ordinary in life but charismatic in roles.")
Ultimately, what matters for an actor is the acting itself, devoting steadfastly to one's own work. For example, I felt very fulfilled in the process of filming The Long Night, but I never had any expectation for it (after its airing). I enjoyed the creation process. I think that's enough for an actor. "
Q: The genres and roles of your works vary a lot. Did you do it deliberately?
A: "Of course I'd like to play roles that I've never tried before. I'm curious how I'd do it. But I'm not deliberately trying to find different roles. It's the stories or roles themselves that touched me.
Indeed, I'm very curious. If there are two scripts that both move me, I'm more likely to choose the role or genre that I haven't tried before. If one is worried about failure, one will never take the first step.
Even if I chose one that I'm not that good at, I'd known it (that I'm not that good). Next time, I'd still choose it! I'd like to see if eventually I can do it well."
"With the firing of cannon in Huanggutun, history opened a new chapter. The young ruler is none other than My Lady's lover." - Feng Yong in Young Marshal

In which Alec Su got Bai Yu's invitation for a bowl of noodles
Every artist who received Sina's interview was asked to give out a gift for others' to choose. Not surprisingly, our noodle boy wrote down "eat noodle +1" as a gift. And Alec Su chose the gift.
Bai Yu (while writing): Would anyone choose my gift?
Alec Su: Eat Bai Yu's noodle! It's a director's work to get to know an excellent actor.
BTS revealed by Sina: "Since there's no noodle present, we gave the Polaroid to Bai Yu for him to decide what to take. After turning around, we thought he would take a selfie, instead, he gave a close up to the thumb. "
