subin nodded along, about to guess an insane number of lipsticks before she answered her own question on a much smaller scale. “maybe you’re just too good for this school, sunghwa-yah. so good, it had nothing to offer. you know,” he pointed. “if you hate it so much, why haven’t you left? there’s gotta be something keeping you here.”

you know what truly sucks at this school ? ” sunghwa started with a sigh. “ the fact that i’ve spent so much on tuition, but it’s as if i never learned anything. not a single time. ”  she shook her head and slid the fabric of her skirt towards her knees. “ do you know how many new lipsticks  i could’ve bought with that much money ? not much, but at least it would’ve given me more happiness than this hell hole.. ”

subin sighed, running his hand through his hair as he sat down on his bed. “i already tried retracing them as far as i can remember. it’s just... i really need that pen back, okay?...” he pouted. “it’s not even mine. are you sure you haven’t seen it anywhere?”

“You probably misplaced it somewhere. I didn’t even touch it and I have no reason to. Try retracing your steps and see if it helps you remember where you could had possibly lost it.”

subin jogged away from the tennis court in pursuit of a ball on the run. the boy sighed, hands resting on his hips as he scanned the area, the runaway ball nowhere in sight. “hey!” he called to someone nearby without really thinking beforehand.  “you haven’t seen a lonely tennis ball on the loose in the last minute have you? coach asked me to come find it and, well, i can’t.”

lil baby is a tennis player and language enthusiast

his first language is korean, but taught himself english and basic spanish

he’s been playing tennis since he was lil so probs around 7-10 is when he started

he’s a pretty quiet fella but it’s because he’s a people-watcher not bc he’s a total grump

hes a bit of a grump but rly its rly bc he doesnt rly get people and people dont rly get him/his sense of humor so he tends to keep to himself but he doesnt mind bc he likes thinking and being alone, but he doesnt mind company

hes surprisingly confident tho like u wouldnt think so since hes so reserved but boi this kid thinks hes the best tennis player out there smh
