So true. I'm adopted, there's no confusion I'm apart of the fam

as someone who has experience with the foster system it’s really disgusting to see the amount of people on here who say things like “being adopted doesn’t actually make you part of the family” or “they’re not actually brother and sister, one of them was adopted” just to justify the fact that they ship literal siblings. one of the biggest fears of people in the foster system is not being seen as a “real” part of the family if they’re adopted and there’s still people on here acting like adoption is some meaningless thing just because they’re upset that people don’t like their gross ships. this seems like it’s really hard for some of you to grasp but adoption makes you part of the family. there’s no grey area there. if you ship adoptive siblings you’re still shipping siblings and no matter how much you whine about how they’re not related by blood that’s still going to be true.
