My name is Enas. I have eight children of varying ages and two grandchildren.

The reality of war, pain, and destruction we have faced daily for nearly two years is indescribable. Before that, we were a normal family, like yours: we worked in various professions (accountant, school guard, nurse, etc.), held social gatherings, and celebrated birthdays. Since then, we have lost everything: our homes, our jobs, our possessions, our family members, and our friends. Our lives are in tatters.

The past three months have been hell. Constant displacement (five times), living in a squalid tent, water scarcity, and unbearable food. We eat at most one meal a day, usually canned beans or rice Even if this is found at very high prices, we go days without even a single meal a day My family and I are hungry 💔.

Escaping starvation and death seems impossible. The crossing is closed, keeping us trapped in Gaza.

I launched this campaign because it is our only hope for survival until the crossing is finally opened, or, God willing, this war ends and reconstruction begins.

You are our hope. Your contributions make a direct difference in our daily lives, and we use the funds as soon as they arrive (the total you see is the generous donations from people since the beginning of our campaign).

Karim can survive with your help

Hi everyone. Thank you all so much for your donations. The past few campaigns have allowed my friend Lina (@linooon as Tumblr deactivated her old account) to pay for treatment, food, and transportation for her brother Karim. For those of you who are new, Karim was shot in the throat and has been on a long and painful road to recovery.

Here's the most recent video of Karim that Lina has shared with me. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he's still with us now thanks to donors on Tumblr. That's how much of an impact these donations have had and I'm very thankful for all of them.

Unfortunately, Karim's condition is still deteriorating. He is in constant pain and can no longer walk, even though he was able to shortly after being shot. In this initiative, we did as follows, consider the needs of students (need) a place where there is Internet and electricity, but the places that provide these services are expensive and students do not have any source of income in the current situation, so the idea of providing a safe place that provides free electricity for students to try to lighten them and provide some of their basic needs, then revived and can continue thanks to your support 🍉🍉🍉

my boyfriend works but his job likes to randomly cut his hours and the pay isn't the best, and I cannot work. he drives a lot during work which in turn makes us need gas a lot, which is where a good chunk of our paycheck ends up going every week. the rest usually goes to bills.

Really disappointing that the responses to Lil Nas X having a mental health crisis that actually take it seriously are advocating for him to be forced into treatment. Firstly nothing in the articles I've read even slightly suggests an overdose, I'd wager the cops injured him and this is simply how they're trying to launder it, but also "taking it seriously" doesn't mean we should all agree that he's a crazy person who should be forced onto medication, institutionalised, put on a fucking conservatorship or whatever the fuck else people are saying jfc. It actually would have been far better if the person filming him got him home safely rather than involving the cops, how are we still having this conversation?

Don't call the cops on someone having a mental health crisis

Don't call the cops on someone who's having a drug related health issue

Don't call the cops on racialised and especially Black + Indigenous/Native people

I thought we all knew why the cops should not be anywhere near these kinds of situations by now in the big year of 2025
