Updates that really aren’t

In the last few months I’ve been receiving messages asking about the fics and whether I had abandoned writing. I’m always grateful for the interest :)

My laptop stopped working forever ago, which means I have no access to my files and will continue like that until I can get it fixed.

Do I want to continue writing? Yes.

Do I still enjoy this fandom? I ship Ambrollins and love reading and writing about it, it’s killing me not being able to create with the current storyline. However the fandom has been in shit state for a long time and there are just a few I can enjoy discussing it with and just 3-4 fics I currently follow.

Will I continue my fics? Yes, because I want to and yes, because the people who feel the same way I do about this ship and the current state of the fandom deserve alternatives.

Wow, now what?

Raw was definitely a roller coaster this week. I watched it last night and had already eaten the spoilers courtesy of Twitter.

Kudos and all the strength for Roman, hoping that same as with wrestling, he kicks out of leukaemia at two for good. Nobody deserves to go through that, and it’s heartbreaking to see someone’s dreams and life facing such a thing. It’s great to see the love and respect shown by all his coworkers, tells you about the kind of person he is away from cameras.

It felt emotionally exhausting by the end of the show when Dean turned on Seth. While a probably tasteless moment to do it, it fits the story and is a justified trigger, the straw that made Dean lose his mind. It was difficult to watch Dean broken, confused, driven by too many pent up past stories. It was difficult to watch Seth plead, trying to get him back to reality, holding onto him for real life and unable to protect himself, not even trying.

It could never get as raw and crude as it could that night and it showed. Where do they go from there now?

Does Seth stand up for himself? Does he drag after Dean trying not to lose him again? Will they make up and blame it on what happened earlier and tease the breakup for weeks until it eventually and inevitably happens? What about the titles? Will they be forced to stay a team while Dean torments Seth week after week?

I only know I’ll be watching.

While I’m still around and about to log off Tumblr until the next time, just wanted to mention I will dedicate some time to writing today. Pretty sure nothing will be ready to post, but my plan is to advance a bit. 

I’m surprised I still have readers and the hits, subs, and bookmark keep going up even when I’m silent and disappeared from AO3 and here.

Tired, jet-lagged... and happy. That’s what I appreciate the most out of moments like this. It’s easy to forget sometimes that the time we work is also time we’re living, and that we spend more time with colleagues - especially under such grueling schedules - than we do with our own families or friends.

It’s always nice to see a genuine moment like this, and I can’t be any happier that I did today. Have a nice weekend!

Update-ish?

Kinda. I’m around Tumblr today fangirling with my dear Cecil so I thought it was a good moment to give a small update. 

I have not abandoned writing, I’m just too busy to breathe. Writing and reading is a stress reliever for me and I try to progress a bit whenever I can, it’s just not often enough to finish anything. I’m not too motivated either seeing the current state of the fandom. 

I’m super thankful to all the people who keep reading even when I didn’t update in ages though and keep subscribing and bookmarking them. I will randomly come over and post when I have a finished chapter, in the meantime, feel free to reread and message me if you wanna chat about the stories :)

why do u hate on other Ambrollins fics? shouldn’t you be happy our ship is getting attention i rlly love ur blog, I just think we shouldn’t let down our other writers bc they like different things. sorry if this offends u but just saying.

first of all, I don’t “hate” on other fics, I have my preferences and since this is my blog I will express them anytime I want, especially since I do it in the tags, so if you like it deal with it, otherwise you’re free to unfollow. secondly, I reserve the right to consider “cringeworthy” those fics that focus only on dean being a slutty bratty sub, where often characters are totally lacking of canonicity and sound like badly written preteen fantasies. I’ll never be happy if something I love is represented in a way that lessens it, and I’d rather have no fics at all.

where are youuuu i miss your fics :(

Ohhh I just saw this *all the hearts* Bitchy ol’ Besi is alive and well, just terribly busy and quite sick of the fandom in general (still a hardcore Ambrollins shipper though). I miss my friends here and writing, which I still do but due to being so busy in real life is not advancing enough to post updates. I also miss reading, but there is SERIOUSLY almost nothing to read over AO3 that doesn’t make me sick (not even joking). The plan is to continue writing and updating my fics even if not as frequently as before and I’m still trying to get some work-life balance that allows me to do that. I’m currently working 6-7 days per week, 10-14 hours per day. There’s just so much a human can do :(

I’m coming back for a moment just to scream WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!? A fic where the characters love and respect each other, where they have NORMAL, fucking HEALTHY interactions within themselves and with everybody else. 

A story where 30-year-old men behave like the motherfucking 30-year-old men they are instead of sappy, disturbingly obsessive 13-year-old girls. A story that doesn’t rely on humiliation and absolutely mentally ill antics gets reported for abusive? 

WHY THE FUCK HAVEN’T THEY EMPTIED THE WHOLE AMBROLLINS TAG FFS? Seriously, if I´m not around anymore it’s because I’m sick to my stomach of the fandoms and the shit I see around. 

The fanfiction world needs more To The Rescue, and more writers like Safty/Strikelass. Sorry to hear this happened to them and all my support.

Both of my fics were flagged as abusive ? Or I broke the rules on something?
