Sometimes I wish I could freeze time and continue to exist in a moment where nothing can break me.

Sometimes I forget that people actually notice me. I’m not invisible like I was made to believe.

You asked me how long it would take to get over them and the truth is probably forever. Love is not something that just fades away. Love is a complex word to describe a series of emotions and actions, and though you’ve gone separate ways, a part of you still holds onto those times where nothing had changed. Eventually, you’ll find someone who brings out a different kind of love, someone who you can love in a better way. Eventually, you’ll learn to love them in a way you once never thought capable of. So no, your love for that one person might never fade, but one day a new love will come along and change everything.

Nobody apologized for how they treated me, they just blamed me for how I reacted.

I spend each day watching from a distance a thing so beautifully perfect. A person who holds the greatest potential to fit perfectly in a place so reserved. Even from a distance, I might fall madly in love, but if my silence keeps this relationship in tact, then I will stay hidden within the silence of the world, and observe a perfectly constructed existence.

I’ve always had an issue with time. No matter how hard I work to get better, and no matter how many changes I make, I will always feel like I’ll never have enough time.

The sucky thing about trauma is that sometimes you think that you’ve finally healed past everything, but then one small event can trigger a whole spiral again. You go from feeling like you’ll never be pushed to the bottom again, to feeling like you’re stuck in a small box reliving your worst memories.

The broken will always be able to love harder than most. Once you've been in the dark, you learn to appreciate everything that shines.

You need to understand the difference between someone who actually values you and someone who just wants access to your energy, feed off your intense emotions, and take advantage of your generosity.

“It sucks that we miss people like that. You think you’ve accepted that someone is out of your life, that you’ve grieved and it’s over, and then bam. One little thing, and you feel like you’ve lost that person all over again.”

You cannot make everyone think and feel as deeply as you do. This is your tragedy … because you understand them, and they do not understand you.

“I am a different person to different people. Annoying to one. Talented to another. Quiet to a few. Unknown to a lot. But who am I, to me?”

I wish I could to stop caring. But how do I stop caring when what others do hurt me? How do I stop caring when the people I love most aim to hurt me the most?

The thing is, I’ve learned to be alone. Physically and mentally, I’m prepared to have no one. I’ve come to value my time and if you make me feel unwanted, I will not hesitate to distance myself and find a new place better suited for me.
