Today’s inspiration 🌙: - @carlyowensweiss earring. I wear these when I feel like I need help “seeing”. - Papercut crescent moon - Wooden tray from @jupiterandmain - Gilded rock made during a class with @solange_roberdeau @kalaartinstitute. This smooth rock has become one of my favorite little objects. A Monday break. ————————— As I’m working towards new work and a solo show (!!!), I realize that I don’t often share too much of the background stuff that also goes into the art making - what I’m listening to, reading and seeing. I’d like to do that more and maybe you’ll find it interesting. ————————— I met Katherine @kgekker and @mariahburtonnelson in Mexico City over coffee and chatting about places we’ve discovered on our walks. Their daily step count rivaled mine on my best days! Packed and delivered this piece to a new home yesterday! 🏠 ————————— At the end of last year, the collector, L, decided to spend the day in San Francisco and had planned a hike up to Bernal. But stopped into the show that @kate.razo.art, @marcorazoart, and @toddah.sf curated. “Well,” she said, “that ended my walk.” ————————— After 10 years of papercuts, I’m still surprised and incredibly moved when someone connects with a work.
