NBA Names Top 75 players for NBA’s 75th Anniversary

The NBA has named its top 75 players for the anniversary of it 75th NBA season.

Some names that made the list include LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Shaquille O'Neal. 

However, it wasn't the names that made the list NBA fans cared about, but rather which names didn't make the list. 

Some names subject to debate on whether they should've been on the list include Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson and Dwight Howard. 

Debate has started over who should go over who on the list. Some examples include swapping Kyrie Irving for Damian Lillard and Dwight Howard for Bill Walton.

As with all lists naming top NBA players, current or all time, someone will always be left out.

Curry Remind Everyone Why He’s the Greatest Shooter Ever

Golden State Suprstar Stephen Curry reminded us all why hes often dubbed the greatest shooter ever as he went off for 45 points on 8-13 shooting from 3. 

He scored 25 of those points in the first quarter on a perfect 9-9 shooting and 5-5 from deep. 

His performance resulting in a win has a lot of NBA fans talking about how this team might look once backcourt mate Klay Thompson comes back healthy later in the season. Could a possible title run be in the mix?

Curry’s performance also has NBA fans discussing whether he can keep it up enough to win league MVP honors. 

Curry has won 2 MVP awards in his career thus far.

Trouble in LaLa?

Just before halftime in the Suns-Lakers game, superstar Anthony Davis and teammate Dwight Howard were seen getting physical on the bench during a time out as the Lakers trailed the Suns. They had to be separated by their teammates. 

The two were later seen making up just before the 3rd quarter started.

This comes as the Lakers, who have high hopes for the title after adding superstar Russell Westbrook to their squad as well as other key additions, are off to an 0-2 start to the season. 

The Lakers face off against the 2-0 Grizzlies next on 10/24 as they look to pick up their first win of the season.

Kyrie Irving Out Until He Gets Vaccinated

Nets Superstar Kyrie Irving will not play until he gets fully vaccinated after being shut down by the organization from playing in any eligible games. 

According the New York laws, if you would like to participate in big events like basketball games, in order to be let in, you must show proof of vaccination. Kyrie Irving is yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19. 

This would mean Kyrie is ineligible to play in any home games, plus two games against the Knicks, and one against Golden State as San Francisco also has this law, as well as one against the Lakers and Clippers each. This totals 46 games out of 82 he would miss due to not being vaccinated. 

Rather than play him the 36 games he is eligible for, the Nets made the decision to shut him down entirely as they did not see the sense in having Kyrie as a part time player. 

The Nets will have to make do with a big two in Kevin Durant and James Harden until Kyrie is vaccinated.

The Ben Simmons Saga Continues

Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons has told the team that he is not mentally ready to play yet after apologizing to the team and taking accountability for how things have played out between him and the organization. 

Simmons will remain out for an indefinite amount of time.

The drama began last postseason after a disappointing performance in the Eastern Conference Semi-finals by Ben and the 76ers that resulted in them losing to the Hawks in 7 games. 

Much of the blame was put on Ben as he seemed hesitant to be aggressive and shot an abysmal 34% from the free throw line in the series. 

After a very public display of disappointment in Ben by his teammates and staff, Ben became distant from the team and eventually told them he would like a fresh start elsewhere. 

The 76ers eventually were able to convince Ben to come back to the team after missing all preseason games and practices. This resulted in a not so interested Ben Simmons refusing to engage with the team huddle and eventually get kicked out of practice after refusing to participate in a defensive drill. 

It is unknown when Ben is set to return, if at all.
