Share this with your friends who always skip leg day or your girls that don't want "big" legs...
🧠 Did you know strong legs = a stronger brain?
Research shows leg strength is linked to better memory, learning, and emotional balance by protecting the hippocampus...the part of your brain that keeps you sharp. ✨
Leg day isn’t just about gains, it’s about keeping your mind right as you age.

I had a pretty busy weekend. I've been teaching my dog clients about the importance of staying with the pack even when they are afraid. They are progressing well but they were very concerned that I was purposely taking a bath. I made them steak for their last meal with me before they went back home.
I made protein blueberry pancakes and I think I finally figured out the right mix. We made homemade pizza from scratch. My wife did the hard work. I just made the toppings lol. And I banned my wife from doing yard work in the back yard( she loves it) but she keeps getting poison ivy, so I volunteer as tribute. Also here is my hairy leg. I moved a lot this weekend but no actual gym time. Thanks for the tag man @m0tiv8me 💪🏾

Did You Know Dogs Can Overheat Easily? 🐶☀️
With summer heatwaves on the rise, it’s important to keep your pup cool, safe, and happy. Here are a few quick tips to help:
💧 Keep Them Hydrated
Always have fresh, clean water available. Add ice cubes for a fun and cooling treat!
🌳 Provide Shade and Downtime
Make sure your dog has a cool, shady place to rest, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
🚶‍♂️ Walk During Cooler Hours
Stick to early mornings or late evenings for walks to avoid hot pavement and peak heat.
🏠 Play Indoors
Skip the sun and get creative indoors! Try gentle tug-of-war, hide-and-seek.

Lifting heavy weight overhead isn’t just about strong shoulders...it’s a trap builder as well.
Every overhead press, push press, or jerk activates your upper traps to stabilize and control that weight. Want thick, powerful traps? Get comfortable lifting heavy things overhead.

I read an article in which Jamie Foxx reflects on how his wealth and comfortable lifestyle made it difficult to create relatable or funny material for stand-up. He recounts a conversation with Eddie Murphy, saying that their luxurious lives made them too out of touch to be funny.
"I had a special deal for a long time, but I had nothing to talk about," Foxx said. "What was I going to talk about? I was rich. I was behind my gates."
He said he believes that his "Dreamgirls" co-star Eddie Murphy had the same issue.
"I remember seeing Eddie Murphy at his house, this was around 'Coming 2 America,' and he says he's going to try to go do stand-up. I say to him, 'You can't,'" Foxx said. "He says, 'Why?' I say, 'This ain't funny. Your house is too nice. Whatever that scent is...' He had a scent. You know, the s**t that pumps through the house."
Foxx said he asked Murphy about the scent.
"He said, 'It's pomegranate.' I said, 'The fact that you know that s**t lets me know that you ain't funny, bro.' It was too perfect. And that was me. I was living in that, so I didn't have anything to talk about," Foxx said. "Then this stroke happened, and I'm like, 'Oh, this is a platform.' But I don't want to have to have another stroke, even though we have [a deal for] another hour."
While this is a funny story I do think we have to remember that it's ok to grow. Art doesn't always have to come from struggle or pain. We've become too comfortable using laughter as a trauma response but our pain doesn't always have to be used for entertainment. Life is hard but sometimes I want to be whimsical 🤷🏾‍♂️

Shoutout to everyone out here raw dogging life head-on without stimulants like champs.
But real talk: if you’ve been prescribed meds for mental health please take them responsibly. Just remember—they’re tools, not the whole toolbox. The goal isn’t to depend on them forever, but to use them alongside other strategies that help you feel better long term.
Here are some other tools to help manage depression:
Movement matters – Even short walks or light exercise can boost your mood.
Sleep like it’s sacred – A consistent sleep routine does wonders for your brain and emotions.
Eat to fuel your mind – Nutrient-rich foods support mental health more than you think.
Talk it out – Therapy, support groups, or even venting to a trusted friend can make a huge difference.
Do the small things – Shower. Open a window. Make your bed. Small wins matter.
Limit the doom scroll – Social media can amplify negative thoughts. Take breaks.
Creative outlets help – Art, music, journaling—find a way to express yourself.
Routine = stability – Even a loose daily structure can create a sense of control.
Medication can help, but so can a lot of other things. You’re doing better than you think. Keep going.

The last two AI determining our faith 😂🥲
Humanity has long been both the architect and the adversary of its own progress, crafting tools to ease our burdens, yet guided by self-interest and an insatiable hunger for profit over the well-being of others. Perhaps it is not our inventions, but our intentions, that will ultimately undo us. 🤷🏾‍♂️

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. boldly declared in 1968, “All we say to America is, ‘Be true to what you said on paper.’”
In 2025, it’s clear that this call to honor our nation’s ideals has not been answered. The “Hands Off!” demonstrations this weekend, coordinated by over 150 groups across all 50 states, rallied in support of civil rights, labor unions, LGBTQ+ advocates, veterans, and election reformers. More than 1,200 locations participated, as reported by the Associated Press, demonstrating the breadth and unity of those who demand justice.
Yet, despite this widespread advocacy, the system continues its oppressive tactics. Plainclothes ICE officers abducted Ms. Öztürk from the streets without warning, whisking her away across the country. Her only “crime”? Writing an op-ed in a student newspaper criticizing university policy. This unlawful act of retaliation mirrors the unjust treatment faced by Mahmoud Khalil, reflecting a deeply troubling pattern of intimidation.
These stories—of Mahmoud Khalil, Ms. Öztürk, and countless others—are not isolated incidents but symptoms of a systemic issue. In 2025, in what we call a “civilized” society, it is unconscionable that we are still fighting for the basic rights that should have been guaranteed long ago. The question remains: when will we be true to the principles of freedom and equality that this country was built on?
