We should be satisfied to be. It is also much less disappointing to live life that way. If something you do while being leads to achieving, then that's a bonus and is much more satisfying because it's what you want to do and not goals set by others.

"At least it's not cancer!"
Yes, because perpetual suffering for the rest of my life while still being expected to act like a healthy person is so much fun

They were saying that when I got the 'beetus in the early 90s, and they are still saying it now.
T1d culture is not reacting to the news about curing t1d because it’s been 5 years away for a long time now

Just a heads up for my US diabetics with sensors. This morning I had to contact support to replace a sensor. It seems they are being required to collect your weight by the FDA. It felt very icky and none of their business (but maybe there's a legit study going on.)
Just putting out an FYI to prepare you

There's a huge crowd of people. Inside this crowd is a murderer who occassionally picks a victim to kill. In the start, you have no way knowing someone there is a murderer, or even know that you have to protect yourself.
But soon it happens to enough people that the crowd starts to notice and tries to fight back. But many people keep losing because they aren't strong enough or don't have a way to fight back.
Then, someone is given an effective means of protection, like a gun. Since it works, more people start having protection on them before they encounter the murderer. The encounters still happen. People might still fight the murderer or get wounded, but they have a way to fight back and survive.
The crowd is your body's immune system. Vaccines are the gun.

Pro-tip for tall girls in US
Old Navy has long sized jeans at a resonable price. You can find better size options online.
But buy them in the winter, because they are made with thicker denim than the summer pairs and don't wear out as quickly.

Have you ever had a bad sun burn and it made you unbearably tired until you healed enough?
That's like fatigue. Except there's no sunburn and you don't heal.

I have never been so happy to have been sterilized in my life. I would never want to raise a kid in the future being created right now in the U.S.
Education, environment, financial security, free speech, bssic rights, etc. are all in danger.
(I apologize for the insensitivity of this to people who are trying to have kids and people in war zones RN, but I these are my true feels and I am allowed to express my concerns.)
