That’s exactly what this post was about. The double standards against Edelgard in the fandom. I don’t understand why you felt the need to say all this just to 360 back to my original point.

An opinion that shouldn’t be controversial, all Edelgard hate is rooted in internalized misogyny. If she were a man people would be praising the times she offered to spare Rhea and her army, people would remember when she told Claude that she hoped to only capture Rhea and not kill her in three hopes. Yet when Dimitri says he wants to wipe out the entire empire because he hates Edelgard he your depressed sad boy who needs some cheese.

I will forever defend Edelgard and I don’t even like three houses very much but all it takes is reading comprehension skills and not hating women to properly see her point of view.

I’m not saying she didn’t do anything bad. I’m talking about the Dimitri fans who put him on a pedestal while saying she’s the devil. It’s not black and white but I’ve never once talked to someone who hated Edelgard who actually understood her reasoning. Not to mention she offers Rhea a peaceful solution in both three houses and hopes.

Her plans took years and years of planning, trying to find the quickest solution that would save the next generation from the trauma and torturing that her 10 siblings were subjected to. (Not to mention Lysithia and Sylvain’s brother) There was no other way to get rid of Rhea who held onto her position for hundreds of years(unbeknownst to the others) unwilling to let go of the past.

If they saw any other way, Edelgard and Hubert would’ve tried it but god forbid the game about war has war in it.
