So, I think Simon is still a little bit magical with an affinity of ice.

He has a whole universe inside him, a Universe where he has a big influence on it, like when the winter king lose his magic, everything he created vanished, but the Universe of Fionna and Cake still exist and in the recent episode it started to snow there. He is like a god to them, now all of the people in that universe, are unsatisfied with their lives and dream with something more whimsical just as he does, he had more power on that universe that he realized.

He is the only one without cold in the winter kingdom, yeah he was wearing a jacket but Cake has fur and she was freezing too, also he could ice skate barefoot and without hurting his feet.

The portals he created were linked to ice in Fionna and Cake universe.

He could alter a magic control in minutes that he never interacted before cause only Prismo had used it.

Maybe Simón is not as powerful as the Ice king, but there is magic in him, maybe out of his sadness and trauma.

No, Simón needed to be rescued from the Empress by Marceline or he would have been turned into a vampire or being slaves by her, this dimension needed to be the same at least after Marceline became a vampire

I know what went wrong in the winter king dimension.

The ice king of the original dimension although crazy, was in more control of his emotions thanks to Finn and Jake, after learning about Ice king past, both of them showed him kindness, compassion and friendship.

Yeah, our ice king could still do some mess up stuff, but he restrain himself a lot if the damage could be permanent to his friends.

In the universe of the Winter king, it is probably that Finn and Jake never learned about Simon, that's why the dynamic was always around someone being kidnapped and then being rescued.

The “Zelda and Sonia” cutscene is my favorite so far. I just thought Zelda talking about Link was so cute, while watching it you feel like "OMG SHE'S TALKING ABOUT ME....... 😳😳😳👀" while simultaneously remembering his true himbo nature. Does this style look familiar?? I picked up a free trial of the weenie hut jr version of harmony, which is what I used to make my animations (well the better version of harmony that is :/). I wanted to flex my muscles with it in preparation to animate again… I’ve been keeping quiet about this, but I REALLY want to make an animation with link and zelda. It’s something I’ve been thinking about doing for almost a year now. It’s hard to find time for animation lately, and the fact that harmony is so expensive doesn’t help. I’m going to look into alternative animation programs for future animations, but I’m hoping I can keep the style looking like the above. Right now commissions are my full time thing, but I’m going to try sprinkling in time for animating too! I hope you're having a great day so far!! This was my exact opinion after watching ephemeral, cause the holder of the cat and the ladybug could know their mutual indentities without a big problem, but Adrien is not a good choice for being a sentimondter controlled by the main villain

Didn‘t want to make a salt post about the finale bc I just want to be done with canon but also I have thoughts especially now that I‘ve went through some fan discourse

So Adrien wasn‘t involved in the finale and an argument for this are that the what-if episodes show that Adrien would not be able to handle the truth, be akumatized as a result and end up destroying the world. And I understand because the messed up things Gabriel did are a lot to take in so Adrien being overwhelmed and anything but okay does make sense. However that makes me wonder

Why is Adrien even a permanent hero who wields one of the two most important miraculouses if him fighting Monarch is not only completely unhelpful but ultimately a guarantee for the heroes to loose?

If literally anyone else who didn‘t have this connection to Gabriel was the cat, this wouldn‘t be a problem at all! All of Marinette‘s friends are either indifferent towards Gabe or hate him. Of course they would have a moment of shock but most likely not to an extent where they‘d be akumatized into world destroyer, so Adrien being replaced as the cat would actually be beneficial.

Or the writers could‘ve given Adrien actual relevant character developement outside of his relationship with Mari and have him realize his dad isn‘t really a great person and have him find out before the finale what Gabe has been up to so that he has a little time to deal with everything before he tells Lb and they plan their final attack. Like there are ways to write him as a compelling and interesting character who overcomes the control his dad has over him, metaphorically and literally, which would actually be an inspiring character arc for him to get his autonomy he severely lacks.

But no, the writers think of Adrien as a little weakling who will never be able to handle anything that doesn‘t fit his world view bc god forbid he ever feels overwhelmed about anything so he needs to be coddled by Marinette and the narrative and everyone.

The way they‘ve set this up, Adrien is literally the worst choice for the black cat.
