Note
Do you guys have any most wanted characters?
Yes we do!
I believe the general consensus of all in the RP is that we would like more of the characters on Hayden Master’s side of things. I.E. Violet Hollis, Camelia Rockingham, and Phoebe Creon. Similarly, we would all appreciate having more male characters in the RP. Oliver Martin and Kahele Alamana have great plot potential, and our resident puppy/pizza boy, Lance Johnson, would be a wonderful way to liven up our dashboard!Please also note that we will consider faceclaim changes on any of these characters.
We would also love if people submitted OCs! We are open to accepting them and simply want you to come join and stretch your roleplaying legs through our plot!

Name → Violet Hollis Gender Identity → Female; she/her/herself Age → 45 Job → Owner of Body Language Power → Civilian FC → Thandie Newton
Personality:     + Determined, accepting, focused     - Defensive, irritable, hot-headed
"The starting point of all achievement is desire.”
Content warning: allusions to adult content
Backstory:
Violet is a rare woman, or at least that’s what plenty of suitors have said to her. She’s the sort of woman who believes in making your own luck, rather than letting the world run your course. For a long time, she’s refused to let others carry her along, and has developed a steely, protective nature as a result. Ever since she was young, working as a stripper and a squanch feminist in the 90’s, she’s learned to believe that the world is a breeding ground of sinners begging to indulge. And so she pursued such a belief through her business venture of Body Language, which she opened in her hometown of Bluebrook, Washington. Many believed it was a strange location choice for an adult entertainment club, but Violet knew better. A savvy individual like herself knew that where there’s an absence, there’s a want, and knowing the darker underbelly of Bluebrook like the back of her hand, she knew that it would be a profitable venture.
However, as the years passed, a specific archetype of individuals began to grow infuriated at the continuing success of Body Language. What many don’t understand is that while Washington state is known for being far more liberal, it is also home to a fair percentage of those with conservative values, and a good number have certainly inhabited Bluebrook for quite some time. But Violet knew this, and could not care less. That is until one such individual decided to frame her for soliciting prostitution in her establishment. It is unclear if the allegations held any truth, but Violet denied them profusely. Still, it seemed that the legal investigation was going sour in her favor, and Violet sought out help from someone with the influence to change the system: Hayden Masters. He used the considerable amount of political influence he had to clear her name, and in exchange, Violet agreed to allow him to ship his less-than-honest goods through her establishment.
Now:
As someone who shares a name with a phenomenon, you would think that Violet would have developed abilities. And truthfully, she gets asked this constantly. To the best of her knowledge, she is as she’s always been, though perhaps a little more on edge. She’s not used to the sort of things she’s been seeing lately, and it’s difficult to cater to an audience you don’t understand. She worries how her dealings with Hayden will continue now that discretion isn’t as promising as before.
Connections:
Hayden Masters → An old friend and now an associate, Violet trusts Hayden more than anything. If it weren’t for him, she may be in jail, though she knows that he can’t exactly work without her, either. Without Body Language, Hayden has no other way to discreetly import drugs, and she often plays this to her advantage when challenging the man’s ego.
Kahele Alamana → Violet doesn’t trust Kahele as much as she’d hoped she would. She understands that his presence is for Hayden’s security, and he has definitely assisted them time and time again, but there’s something about not being able to vet him or have a say in his employment that really unnerves her.
Tabitha Stefanova → There is no one in the world that Violet trusts more than Tabitha. Without her, she would have a lot of dangerous activity under her roof -- more so than there already was. People get handsy, aggressive, and uncouth in an establishment like Body Language, and Tabitha is certainly the perfect right-hand-woman for the job.

Name --> Camelia Anne Rockingham
Age --> 40
Gender Identity --> Female; she/her/hers/herself
Job --> Mayor of Bluebrook
Power -->Enhanced Strength
FC --> Rachel Weisz
“What queen wants to rule a kingdom she herself burned down?”
Personality:
+Passionate, Careful, Fierce
-Perfectionist, Vicious, Entitled
Backstory:
Camelia Anne Rockingham led a charmed life. The only child of Bluebrook mayor Gabriel Alan Jr. and his beautiful wife Theresa, she had everything she could have wanted plus more. Her parents were well loved and enjoyed an almost royal status in the small Washington town. Camelia did everything perfectly, her grades, her boyfriends, her extracurriculars. Groomed to be her father's successor somewhere down the road, she didn’t mind any of it - she thrived on it. Camelia wanted nothing more than to lead, to do what her father did. So she followed the path laid neatly before her, graduating as valedictorian and class president at Rockingham County High School and attending the University of Washington Foster Honors Program.
Though her parents vision for her future aligned with her own, Camelia was the one pushing herself forward - flying over hurdles in her path and racing towards the glowing future she saw for herself. With a few strings pulled by her father and her own perfect application, she interned for Seattle Mayor Ed Murray and later worked as a lobbyist in Olympia after graduation. Camelia learned the ins and outs of the political system, how to make it benefit her and the people she cared about, and how easily it could be manipulated. Parts of her enjoyed making the system work for her, while her better nature urged her to focus on ways to make it better. She helped champion legislation to fix many of the problems plaguing her state, at the cost of a few political victims it was worth it.
Returning home a hero, a shoe-in for the legacy her father left, Camelia ran for mayor of Bluebrook at only thirty-five, young for a mayor of Bluebrook.. Her father had decided to step down earlier that year and the timing was perfect. Everything was set and perfectly planned, just the way she liked it. But the structure she had meticulously laid came burning to the ground when her campaign was overthrown by an underdog, a man who wanted to change the structure of Bluebrook - bring the old guard down. Oliver Martin won and Camelia Anne Rockingham fell. Disgraced and angry, Camelia couldn’t face her family, or anyone in Bluebrook for that matter. How had something so destined to be turned so wrong? In the depths of her anger and hatred she did something against her own morals and better nature - Camelia turned to one Hayden Masters.
With a snap of Hayden’s fingers, Oliver Martin was disgraced and forced to resign leaving an opening for Camelia to snatch up her rightful throne. What she didn’t realize when making her deal with the devil was the price she would pay in the long run. In her second year as Bluebrook’s mayor, Camelia is completely under Hayden’s thumb. Everything from cleaning up messes to pushing his agenda, she is in no position to deny him. Her single minded focus on getting what she wanted may have ruined her family’s legacy, and any chance Bluebrook had at ridding itself of the danger that seems to have invaded.
Now:
Ever since Violet Sky, Camelia has noticed changes in herself. It was the little things at first; a dent in her desk from a fit of anger, the ease with which she could carry what once was too heavy, and the sudden rip of her blazer while trying to fix a button. Slowly but surely she has been attempting to test out the limits of her new found strength, all the while hiding evidence of the stranger happenings in town. This has become more and more difficult as the incidents become more frequent and unbelievable.
Connections:
→ Hayden Masters: Camelia would do anything to get out from under Hayden’s thumb, but some part of her has given up on this hope. He rules the town with an iron fist and she’s only beginning to realize how neatly she played into his hands.
→ Oliver Martin: Camelia knows she should feel guilty for what was done to Oliver, that the lies played against him ruined his life. But she doesn’t feel as bad as she should. He took what was hers, what belonged to her, what was her birthright. If she could get over her own sense of entitlement she might find that Oliver would be one of the few people that could help her get out from under Hayden’s power.

Backstory:
Kahele didn’t always live in BlueBrook, and he wasn’t always the hard shell of a man he is today. He was born in Hawaii and spent his younger years living in Kawela Bay. As a child he spent his days on the shore and his nights under the stars. His mother would paint beautiful works of art to sell at her shop, while young Kahele would watch the older boys surf. But all of that was ripped from under his feet when his mother passed away unexpectedly.
Kahele had nowhere to go but stateside. His mother had left strict instructions that if something were to happen to her, that her young son would be sent to live with her sister in California. His aunt wasn’t a good caregiver, often leaving him fending for himself. He was only fifteen when he pushed for becoming emancipated. His aunt was actually glad to get the boy out of her hair, she filled out all the documents, forged a false address where the boy would live, and attended every hearing until finally before he turned sixteen he was out on his own.
The real world hit him in the face when he finally realized he truly didn’t have anywhere to go. He had heard a lot of the boys his age in town talk about wanting to go to Seattle, so he figured that was the direction he would go. He spent the last of his money on a bus ticket, and hoped that he would make it. But he never did. He was dumped out in BlueBrook, not having enough money to continue on with the journey. The few shelters that were set up around the town showed no interest in him, forcing him to fend for himself on the streets. This caused him to develop a deep embedded rage towards the town and all of the residents. That was, at least, until he came across a man who saw something in him. Hayden Masters offered him something he could not refuse.
Hayden saw something in Kahele that day he met him on the street. He encouraged the young boy to work out, and offered him little jobs here and there. Hayden gave him a place to stay, and watched as Kahele grew into a vicious young man. Now, after a mishap that happened between Violet and her club Body Language, Hayden gave him a permanent job. He was now in charge of monitoring drug trafficking through the strip club, and he also struck a deal with Violet to keep all of her girls safe.
Now:
When the Violet Sky occurred, Kahele didn’t feel like himself. He was working at Body Language when a rowdy bunch of men were getting a little too close to the girls. He quickly acted and threw the men out the club, where they began to fight back. He quickly handled two of them, and the rest scurried away. With adrenalin coursing through his veins he screamed out, but what happened next he wasn’t prepared for. All of the windows in the alleyway where he was standing shattered. Since that day he goes out into the woods to try and control and learn about his new power.
Connections:
Hayden Masters → Kahele doesn’t know where he would be if it wasn’t for Hayden. He is nothing but loyal to him and has proven himself time and time again. While he doesn’t mind working and protecting the girls at Body Language, he wonders what it would be like to be a “foot solider” for lack of better term for the mysterious man.
Tabitha Stefanova → The two of them work together closely, but Kahele tends to keep his distance from the girl. He knows that she can handle her own, and he respects that about her. Besides, she knows that Kahele is mainly there to deal with all of Hayden’s affairs dealing with the club.
Violet Hollis → Kahele has nothing but respect for Violet, with that being said he tends to stay out of her way and let her run things the way that she does. He tries to keep Hayden’s affairs running quickly and smoothly throughout her club, while watching her girls at the same time.

Backstory:
Lance has never known his real parents, but that never really mattered - he has always had all the family he needed. As a newborn Lance was taken home by the Johnsons who couldn’t have any children themselves. That was until the age of two when, after years of trying, the Johnsons gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Most kids like Lance would have grown spiteful and angry, afraid of being replaced. But that just wasn’t Lance. Instead Patricia, who he nicknamed Pidge, became his best friend, his closest confidante, his robin.
Though he came from hard beginnings, Lance’s life from the moment he became a Johnson was charmed. He had the looks, the friends, the familial support. He excelled at sports, particularly La Crosse, making team captain as a sophomore. All the girls wanted to date him, all the guys wanted to be his friend. It wasn’t just his good looks and athletic ability that drew people towards him, he had a natural charm and good nature. Optimism and positivity exuded every one of his perfect pores, and an ability to become friends with just about anyone.
Part of him feels guilty that Pidge never had it as easy as him, she was always the moon to his sun or maybe more accurately his shadow. That didn’t stop him from trying to protect and help her whenever he could. He invited her to the parties, stood up for her when other kids pushed her around, but nothing seemed to stick. So when he left to make his way in the world, he hoped for the best.
After graduation Lance attended Washington State University for a year, but couldn’t cut it. His forte had never been academics and he found himself drowning in the size of the state school. So after three years he returned to Bluebrook, still with no direction or real plan in life. Though he’s supported by his parents, Lance feels directionless and is worried that he may have peaked in high school, that everything from now on is a downhill slide.
Now:
Since his return to Bluebrook, Lance picked up a job as a pizza delivery kid, working most nights and sleeping during the day. But ever since the Violet Sky incident, and the uptick in crime since, his job has gotten stranger and stranger. Not to mention the time a man with three eyes ordered a delivery. On top of this, Pidge seems to have closed herself off even more - even from him.
Connections:
Pidge Johnson → His little sister, his best friend, the robin to his batman. These two were always peas in a pod and different as day and night. Even through their differences Lance tries to be the best older brother he can, supporting her and trying to fix everything. He doesn’t always succeed, but it’s the thought that counts.
Alice Little → Though she was a year above him in high school, they ran in many of the same circles and attended a dance or two together. While Alice is brave where Lance is cowardly, they both love other people and would do anything in their power to make others happy - making them great friends. Since they are both still in town they grab coffee occasionally and try and stay up to date on each others lives.

Content Warning: Drug Abuse
Backstory:
Oliver grew up in Rainier Valley, the most culturally and economically diverse neighborhood in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. It’s also considered one of the most dangerous parts of the city, but only by outsiders. Oliver knew growing up in rainier that he had to fight for anything he got in this life, but he also had the support of a family and community behind him. Sure, rainier didn’t have the affluence of laurelhurst or magnolia, but it had people who cared about the community and wanted to make it better than they left it. This is where he learned how to organize a community and rally people around him, it helped to have an honest face and a passion for helping others.
After Oliver’s graduation from Franklin High School as salutatorian, he attended the University of Washington to study history and education. Though he was encouraged by his peers and mentors to pursue a career in politics he scoffed at the idea, instead finding joy in teaching others and helping students who were once like him achieve their true potential. Graduating with honors from the UW with a degree and certification in teaching, specifically history, he started his search for a job - bright eyed and ready to change the world. But change didn’t come as easily as he hoped, no positions opened up within the Seattle School District, or even in Bellevue and Tacoma - and September was fast approaching.
Dreams of changing lives were pushed aside by the desire to get a job - any job. So Oliver ended up in Bluebrook - one of the only school districts in need of a history teacher so close to the start of school. He jumped on the opportunity and found himself pleasantly surprised. Bluebrook wasn’t the sweet, small town it was made out to be. There was in fact an dark underbelly to the town, as well as an elite that seemed to have their hands in everything. The more time he spent in Bluebrook, the more he fell in love with the town and its people - and grew angry at those in power. Which led Oliver back to the path that many had told him to pursue, he ran for mayor.
The campaign sent a wave of hope across Bluebrook, Oliver drew people to him like moths to flame. Everyone believed that maybe this town could be more than it was, that some of the darkness could be cast out. And he did, if only for a short time. After winning, Oliver started to create change - started to make Bluebrook a better place, a happier place. But these dreams were dashed when he was accused of sleeping with the wife of one of the city councillors, which spiraled into an accusation of drug trafficking. The city that had been drawn to him so quickly was turned away, labeling him a corrupting outsider. Even though the accusations were eventually proved to be false, Oliver was forced to step down and make way for one Camelia Anne Rockingham.
Now:
Though it took time, Oliver was able to get his old position at Rockingham High School back - thanks to a sympathetic principal and staff. Disillusioned from politics now, Oliver has become angry and bitter - unsure when he was once so confident. Part of him wants to hate Bluebrook for what it did, turning on him like that. But part of him also sees the kids in his classes, addicted to drugs and futureless. He wants to help them be more than this, to live in a town that supports them and to do that he may have to rock the boat.
Connections:
Camelia Anne Rockingham → His bitter rival from the election and now the woman who took his place. Oliver can’t help but feel she had some hand in the way he was taken down. She was angry at his win, a sense of entitlement to the position due to her family history in the town - but she couldn’t be that cruel - could she?

Hi! I was reading your rules and didn't see anything about required activity or activity checks. I've probably just missed this but would you mind directing me to that information? Thank you!
Hello! Thank you for your inquiry!
Upon further inspection, many of our rules need to be re-written. For example, in our previous iteration of Bluebrook, we did not accept OCs. However, currently, we are open to OCs and encourage people to join however it pleases them!
Inactivity is not a very strict subject here, especially now that the holidays are coming about. Some mods work between 8-12 hours daily, and are also not able to stay as active as we should like.
So, for the sake of fairness,  our guidelines on activity are as follows:
Hiatuses are approved up to one-month periods (please ace your finals!)
Inactivity (meaning actual replies, not just photos or other misc. forms of media) has been extended from five days to 2 weeks
Extended indefinite periods of absence for special circumstances
The goal here is to create an open forum of inspiring writing, while staying true to the tumblr RP familiarity.

“They sent a knight to save you once, but found you curled up with the dragon.”
Content Warning: Bullying
Backstory:
Growing up in Bluebrook wasn’t exciting, in fact it was pretty dull. It isn’t exactly a tiny town but it’s small enough that when you’re different you stick out. Such was the case for Patricia Johnson, better known as Pidge. Most girls wanted to play with Barbies, Pidge wanted to take apart her family computer and find out if she could put it back together. It didn’t start to bother her until middle school when she started to become the butt of every joke - the target of every mean girl. This caused Pidge to retreat even further into herself, and the internet. Finding solace in her online friends she could pretend everything was alright, getting lost in worlds away, pretend that her life was more than it actually was. She could be her own hero there.
Pidge’s retreat into herself and characteristic un-ladylike personality always caused strife between her parents. They had long hoped for a charming little girl, a blue-eyed princess not a tomboy who spent most of her time in her room. Every attempt her parents make to try and turn her into something she just isn’t pushed her farther away from them. But even when her relationship with her parents was on edge, her relationship with her brother Lance stayed strong. He is a lot of things she isn’t, gentle and playful - not to mention popular. The year Pidge was a freshman and Lance was a senior he became her defender and tried to help her in any way he could.
But that only lasted for a year and when the bullies returned she didn’t want to trouble him - he had enough on his plate as it was. With her protector gone, the target on Pidge’s back became even larger. Not that she helped herself any - only speaking up in class to be a smartass and refusing to participate in social activities. Instead of being what her parents call a ‘normal’ teenager she hid out in her bedroom for most of high school, fiddling with her computers and researching conspiracy theories.
Now:
Graduation is only a year away and Pidge only has to survive for a bit longer until she can leave this town. Her sights are set on the University of Washington’s elite Computer Science program, a place where she just might be accepted for who she is and far away from the town of Bluebrook. But it seems fate has thrown a wrench in her plans. Ever since Violet Sky Pidge has started to notice that she more than just uses her computers, they talk back.
Connections:
→Lance Johnson: Pidge was always close with her brother, even though they were so different. He tried to protect her and keep her safe from the world, but it just wasn’t in the cards - and Pidge forgives him for that. At times when everything feels like it’s falling apart at home, Lance is there for her.
→Keith Darnell: If Pidge had an archnemesis, it would be Keith. Maybe it’s the fact that they are so similar, or that they are so different at the same time - but he has always rubbed her the wrong way. She will go out of her way to make snide remarks to him and harass him in any way she can. Which isn’t doing herself any favors since he seems to be the high schools new golden child.
