Ive fallen again. I let lust consume me and depression eat away at me. I looked for comfort in the wrong things. I desire love not lust joy not pain freedom not shackels. There is not way I pulled myself out of this. God showed me what a life without sin looks like and I turned back. I was met with nothing but lust. I persude comapnionship in things that have no feeling. It didn't help the depression. So I'm going to try agian because sin isnt fun or freeing. I want my joy back.

How are we different from the israelites? Perhaps we are more prone to be worse. Or maybe we face the exact same challenges just in a diffrent age and form. Maybe a generational curse?
We set children up for failure at the very beginning. With phones and technology. Straight out of the womb you're programmed to be entertained. Boredom is a nuisance to the inexperienced eye. But we forget that silence is when the Lord speaks and can build up our creativity.
Silence brings conversation and relationships. Silence is a light in a dark room yet we can't seem to wrap our heads around it. Boredom brings us idea’s such as conversation in a quiet room. But phones are destroying peace. We bully and pick fun at people who are on a screen. We pervert the minds of children with websites that are too accessible and music talking about sex and drugs. We spend less time with God and more time scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and on and on and on. It's called doom scrolling for a reason. It brings about your demise.
We need to limit screen time and go and talk to God. If you can't hear God’s voice… Are you really giving him time to speak? Take away one episode, one tiktok scroll, one song, one overstimulating moment to talk to God. Allow yourself peace of mind and body. Stop torturing yourself with overstimulation and allow yourself to get bored. Because Boredom will bring about your creativity and thoughts. And perhaps if you truly make this change God will call out to you.
And for those of you who don’t believe or do believe go God loves you and go read How do we know the Bible is true? By Ken Ham & Bodie Hodge. I only have volume two at the moment but it's a very educational book. It's as if you're listening to someone teach a class or talking to someone.
Most importantly give God a real chance to speak to you and love you. I know it seems unreal at times but please trust me. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life" Only someone who truly loves you would do such a thing!
If God can bring me out of ocd, anger, lust, and just awfulness he can Bring you out too. Please don’t harden your heart, reach out to God so he can finally grab your hand. He’s a gentleman, he wont force you.

Your Mind Is A Killer
Hear me clearly when I say I know this to be true. My mind has created countless storylines and characters. It takes me to places where I can be “free”, although it's not true freedom. It’s a false sense of peace. It's actually a time consumer and can be a time waster. If your mind isn't centered around God your thinking becomes perverted. I don't just mean sexually I mean in general.
When your mind becomes perverted you think unhealthy thoughts such as I'm not good enough or I want this… no I need this. You don't need anything but Jesus, and that is a fact. https://www.openbible.info/topics/god_is_all_we_need ←There's your proof.
With this being said, why do we say we need something? It is true we need water and food. God will provide that for you. You better believe God can make it to where you don't have to eat or drink, he is all-powerful. Here is your proof –> https://www.openbible.info/topics/god_is_all_powerful Matthew 19:26 ESV / 207 helpful votes
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
When we believe we need something like comic books, expensive cars, significant other, or anything like it, we tend to idolize it. What exactly is Idolization? Idolization is putting something before God (something that we shouldn't do but tend to) for example: Sam wakes up and looks at his phone and goes on snapchat before he thanks God for being alive. Or Sherly goes out to the park to swing before she reads her bible.
Why is idolization unhealthy? This is because it consumes time we could be spending with God. The time you spend doom scrolling you could be bible studying. Idolization is also unhealthy because it can bring us to not take care of ourselves examples: Losing sleep, not eating, Stress, Hyper fixation, sin, and worst of all its taking your time away from God! But how do you remove an idol?
To remove an idol you have to focus on God. The more you're in your word the less time you will spend with said idol. If you want to quit smoking you're going to take time away from it in order to quit. In order for a flower to grow you’ll have to kill the pest. God will water you and help you grow he can even help you learn to fight as well as protect you. But God won't help you if you don't want him to. Why you ask? Because he is a gentleman.
Idolization is worship.
