;; So... I might have some bad news for this blog..

I will soon be archiving this blog.

One of the reasons being that I just cannot find muse for my regular Shadow. Back when I made Fade’s blog, I was hoping a change of pace would help me find my way back to regular Shadow as well as I often did that if I didn’t have muse for a character. But that kind of backfired, and only made me realize how unhappy and unsatisfied I am with my version of Shadow. I made a lot of hasty development to his character that were meant to happen, yes, but that were just too fast-paced. I missed my chance to develop Shadow’s character the way I had wished for and am now left with a lot stuff that just makes me go ‘meh......’ when I think of my Shadow. I know things can’t always turn out the way you want to or plan to, but.. I’m just not satisfied at all with Shadow. But really, this does not have to do with any of my rp partners. You are all wonderful and I sure as heck am still interested in rping with you on Fade’s blog! No one is to blame here!

There are also a few other issues that I wouldn’t like to address about this blog which ultimately left me to wanting to archive this blog and move on to something else. I thought for a long time about this until I made my decision final.

I feel kinda sorry for the threads and relationships I will be dropping on this blog, and trust me I am sorry about it. But I don’t want to keep this blog the way it currently is and with how I handle my muse - or the lack of it. I don’t wanna give half-assed replies, or let people wait months for one reply, only to wait months for the next one. I understand if people are upset or mad at me, but I hope you guys can forgive me!

Instead! I want to focus on Fade ( @detachedmiind ) and take as much time as I want and/or need to develop him into something that makes me happy of the work I put into his development! To me, he can be such an interesting character and I love the freedom I have writing him as an AU kind of version, something new, something I came up with and can change how I see fit. Shadow always felt so... Limited to me. And the path I chose for his blog and development only worsened that feeling. So, I’ll let poor Shadow rest at some point soon. But I am happy I could spread some positivity during Christmas before leaving this blog behind! 

That doesn’t mean I won’t be willing to rp him at all anymore though!! I will still be doing private rps on Discord with him every now and then when I have the muse to, or discuss headcanons and what not! But he won’t be available to interact with on Tumblr at some point in the future.

For a moment, the hedgehog took a deep, relieved breath as Finnian started moving. Sure, he was coughing up blood and was in a very dangerous condition but.. He wasn’t dead. That was what mattered the most to the black hedgehog right now. He had to take him to safety quickly and do his best to treat him and keep him alive.

Shadow noticed Finnian’s hand trying to lash out to him and claw at him, instead of dodging it or doing something else, he quickly took a hold of the hand that was trying to claw at him, reassuringly squeezing his hand as if to try and reach him some other way. The shock and pain were surely overwhelming the poor guy.. 

`` Finnian! It’s me, it’s Shadow! Calm down! Fuck, I need to move you, damn it! Hold still, please! ``

If the black hedgehog had any knowledge about what had happened to the jackal, he would have come to look for him much sooner and quicker. But alas, it was only thanks to a very weird feeling in his guts that Shadow decided to go visit Finnian, to check up on him. Over the years, Shadow had learned to trust his instincts and his guts. If he felt like something was wrong, he followed that feeling, even if it proved to be wrong due to anxiety or other mental issues. Better be safe than sorry, you might say.

So this odd sensation that caused the hedgehog some nausea led him to go visit the place Finnian called his home. He needed to see the jackal was doing okay for his stomach to calm down again. Though it might be futile to visit this place, after all who knew where Finnian would be wandering around right now? He might be somewhere entirely else, visiting someone maybe. Or perhaps he found a different place to call home. For the time being, this didn’t matter. Shadow would scan the area he knew Finnian might linger in. If he wouldn’t be there, Shadow would move on to any other location Finnian was known to be found at.

But it didn’t take long for the hedgehog to realize that his instinct was right, something was definitely up. He could smell the lingering scent of blood heavily hanging in the air. From there on, it was quite easy for him to follow the smell and even easier to find the source of it soon after. And what he saw made his stomach twist and churn as he realized just what he was seeing.

`` Finnian?! ``

Shadow rushed to the wounded jackal, coming closer he realized the boulder he was laying next to was actually crushing his leg. Oh Chaos. His thoughts were racing, who would do that? And why? What did Finnian do to deserve this? Was he conscious? Would he die? His mind was panicking, and it was like Shadow’s body switched to autopilot as he lifted - or rather threw the heavy mineral off of the poor jackal, kneeling down to him afterwards. 

`` Fuck, who would.. Finn! Can you hear me? Wake up! Don’t you give up on me! `` 

Thank Chaos he followed his instinct.

The hedgehog gladly accepted the blanket, it wasn’t as nice as Zero’s fur but.. It did the job as well, so he wouldn’t complain. `` Thank you dear~. Well, if my fur would’ve been any shorter, this little Christmas trip would have probably turned me into an icicle. `` Shadow purred amused, cuddling into the blanket a little, following the jackal inside and to the tree.

`` It’s still very sweet of you. `` He commented, fidgeting with the box in his hand a little. He knew Zero would like it, he knew Zero would never put him down for whatever gift he gave to him, but he was still.. Slightly nervous..

The hedgehog took a quick huff before handing the small box to Zero, along with a quick peck on the cheek. Hopefully he’d like the little mix of music box and watch.

`` Merry Christmas, my love. ``

Zero closed the door behind him and shook himself off from the cold.Quickly taking the jacket off the other and wrapping a blanket around the hedgehog to replace it.”Here you must be cold,so wrap up”

“feel free to just join the others if you’s like too-” zero said before pausing at the hedgehogs comment,a little surprised to say the least.

“well I had too-it would have been wrong of me not to,but if you wish to go first you may”Zero insisted before grabbing a smallish box from under the tree.

`` Oh thank god I brought an extra gift with me. I had a weird feeling I would need that. `` The hedgehog mumbled as he stepped inside the familiar little home of Zero and his team- .. Well, okay, technically it was Cole’s house, but he considered it home by now. Santa’s spirit? That’s something Shadow could definitely bring along, especially after all this gift delivery he had done up until now.

Ah yes, the party brought back some very lovely, fresh memories. What a great day, and a glorious party, at least to Shadow. But- hold on.. What was that?

`` A gift? For me? ``

`` Love, you shouldn’t have.. Allow me to go first then, but.. Let us get comfortable first, shall we? ``

“then please do come in,we do need a bit of santas spirit” the jackal playfully said gesturing for the other to step inside with a pleased smile on his face,”Im sure the boys will love what you have for them” zero said pausing for a moment with a slight wobble,”Oh right,silvers over too hope you dont mind that starlight”

.”that aside though,I also have a gift for you I didn’t get a chance to give it to you at the party,so i suppose now I can give it to you hmm?”  he said poking the other on the nose .

`` Hello my love~. ``

A soft smile curled the hedgehog’s lips once he was greeted by the jackal, along with a short purr as his nose was booped. He immediately felt at ease just being around Zero, easing the anxiety of the gift he had worked on for his fiance. `` Oh, no no. How could I possibly just drop it off and leave again? Please, I’d like to see your reaction to it. `` Shadow replied, letting out a soft sigh as he felt Zero’s tail around him, feeling it warm him up already. 

The hedgehog left a quick peck on the jackal’s lips, grinning like the total dork he was towards Zero. Ah, he always forgot about the world around them for a split moment whenever he felt so close to Zero.

`` Besides, I also brought a little something for the rest of the team~. ``

Zero stumbles too the door without saying anything not even a ‘be right there’ he was a little out of it currently so he didn’t think much on it.He was at least alerted by the others who were busy in the game they were playing currently.Zero opened the door to a very unexpected but nice surprise as a dopey smile came across his face.He looked the other up and down before saying anything.

“well hello starlight,didn't expect you to be here,im shocked you didnt walk in-but its good to see you here” zero said booping the other on the nose.”Im guessing your just stoppin by to drop that off?,”the jackal said pointing to the little gift in the hedgehogs hand,”or are you planin on come on in hmm?”

“cause I sure would like it if you came in,so would the others since its been a bit” zero said wrapping his tail around the hedgehog.

Yes!! I mean Dead By Daylight!! I LOVE that game, and I may be looowkey addicted lmfao. I play it on both ps4 and pc (because it was on sale on steam and I'm on vacation but REAAALLLYYY wanted to play it XD 10/10 me)

Okay serious talk real quick. Yeah Im pretty ‘lazy’ on my blogs nowadays, the people I talk to actively know why. Real life is extremely draining. Depression, as well, is very draining. Living with the struggles of bpd: Draining the life force right outta me, and don’t get me started on dysphoria. The energy I have left is most of the time spent to communicate with friends, which, no matter the person, is often also: Very draining. Whenever I have some more energy left and feel creative, I try to do some stuff here and there, but that’s all I can do. It’s a hobby, I write for fun, not because it’s a chore. But the thing is, writing is also draining, even though I love it and have a lot of fun with it. On some days, I got enough fuel to do chores, keep my apartment clean, go to work, go grocery shopping, and talk to friends. On other days, I can barely get up to feed my cats, and will just chill on my bed with soothing music or play games to take my mind off of my daily struggles to maybe fill up my tank just enough to get through the next day. It ain’t easy living like this, being tired every. single. day. But hey, that’s life amirite. That’s why I’m inactive. But I will never delete my blogs. I love my three boys. I love writing them. I love not-being-me for a while whenever I rp.

;; ooofff, didn't sleep well last night and had kind of a stressful day till now, so I'll be taking a self-care day and play some Dead By Daylight

She's come back, and thankfully this time not with a giant bat carrying excessive amounts of chocolate. This time it is a simple gift, a knitted scarf with a star pattern on it in soft blue and yellow. Might not be quite his colours but it is certainly almost as soft as her.

What a lovely gift. Shadow was a sucker for such personal presents, this one was no different. He was a little baffled as he received the scarf, looking at it up and down and simply admiring the beauty of it and the soft material. He looked up at the bat, a little stunned and lost for words. So before he said anything, he put on the scarf, wrapping it around his neck and almost purring as he felt just how soft exactly the scarf was. It was sure to keep him warm.

“ A beautiful gift. Thank you, Lottie. ”

The hedgehog gently took a hold of the bat’s hand, showing his gratitude by placing a quick, yet soft kiss on the back of her hand.

“ Your gift is very appreciated. May I ask of you to wait here for a moment? There is something I had prepared for you, as well.”

And with that, the black hedgehog disappeared with a small flash of light, only to reappear a few moments after with a wrapped package in his hands, offering it to the bat. It contained a beautiful ball gown, and looked like the night sky fading into the light of stars. Perhaps a bit too formal for the bat’s taste, but still quite the fancy dress. It took him a lot of patience as well as.. A couple of band aids and a lot of lost fabric to finish it.

It wouldn’t be Christmas if Harmony didn’t tackle at least one person for holiday cuddles. Which was unfortunately Shadow this year as Volt ran to try to catch her before hand. “Merry Christmas Shadow!” Mostly muffled by her head buried in his chest fluff, the pup held up her small package after. Inside was a friendship bracelet made of red jasper and obsidian beads and a construction paper card with stick figures of him and Zero holding hands. “I hope ya like it. I made one fer Zero too.”

But the hedgehog didn’t mind getting tackled at all, he even managed to catch little Harmony and pull her in for a quick hug as she buried her face in his - very ticklish - chest fluff, so Shadow really had to restrain himself from hysterically laughing as the young pup’s breath tickled his fur. Goodness, it was the only spot Shadow was ticklish at, and she was breathing right into it.

He made a small gesture with his hands towards Volt, signaling that it was okay for Harmony to tackle him like she did. He had a soft spot for kids and would let Harmony do whatever she would want with him, so this tackle? It was nothing. He had ‘worse’ before.

“ A gift? For me? How sweet of you. `` 

Shadow took the package from the pup’s hands and opened it. What a precious little gift..! His eyes seemed to lighten up immediately as he saw the beautiful bracelet inside, lifting that one out of the box first to further look at it. ” Oh, how pretty.. Did you make this? You got quite some talent, lil’ one. “ The hedgehog purred happily as he put on the bracelet immediately. 

Next was the construction paper card and as he took a closer look at it, Shadow couldn’t help but to let out a sweet ‘awwh!’ as he realized what the drawing was showing. 

” I love it. Thank you so much! It’s such a thoughtful gift. I’ll make sure to pin this card on my wall. And I’ll keep this bracelet on me at any time. It’s lovely. Thank you. “

(errorblankdata) there's a gift left for shadow, its from metal... its a bag of coffee beans, a pretty pricey kind. And a note that says "hope you are doing okay, here's this if you celebrate the holidays"

It was nice coming back home only to find a gift addressed to him..! How very sweet. Shadow picked up the gift and let out a soft, but happy sigh as a smile decorated his features. Coffee beans? Hell yes. How sweet of Metal to leave something for him. He made a mental note to go check on the robot sometime soon.
