It's been a minute since I last posted, but I finally had some time! Woo!

Can I ask why you named your au "Cliché"? :)

Simple reason, really!

I named the AU "Cliche" because the first change I made (Aoi liking Teru instead of Akane) is one of the most familiar tropes we all know so well. Like Teru said:

"A handsome boy and a beautiful girl". It makes sense, doesn't it? it's so CLICHE, a cheap cutout of the classic love triangle we often see in romance (like how Akane would be 'the second ml who deserves better').

To name it "Cliche" was acknowledging that the premise of the story is, indeed, cliche and leans into these overused tropes. Like, yes, I know this is a scenario you've encountered time and time again, it was first just a random thought of "wow, if Aoi liked Teru instead of Akane, it would have been so CLICHE and lame, lmao."

I laughed at the idea, but after thinking more on it, I went "wait... that COULD be possible, if Teru had just met them in their childhood before Aoi developed feelings for Akane!" (aka, the propinquity effect).

Honestly, it felt like a Eureka moment, so I ended up writing, getting advice from other TBHK lovers (the ones I mentioned in the pinned post) and even drawing about it before eventually sharing them here, and that's how the AU was born.

Thank you for asking, str0yberries! It really does make me happy that there are some people interested enough to ask about something I'm working on! Can't promise I'll be consistent in posting due to college taking up most of my time at the moment, but I assure you they haven't left my mind💙

Your art looks great! When do you think the fanfiction will be released?

Because the AU is still fairly new and I'm busy with college, the 'official' fanfiction of Cliche won't be coming anytime soon. I have drafts of it and a general idea of where it's going, just not the time to write it all down concisely.

Other than that, I'll still be able to post snippets and answer questions. People are free to make content of this (in fact, someone also asked if they can make fanfic of this which is of course alright), as long as credits are given.💙

Cliche
