5/100 days of productivity // jan 21 2017

all my work was done on the computer today, so I decided to share a screencap instead of a photo!

researching for a year-long english paper. I need to finish an annotated bibliography and two rhetorical analyses by monday, but I first need to understand what each source is saying. so far, I’ve outlined 7 of the 9 articles I have so far, and I need one more because we need a total of 10! hopefully I can finish all this by sunday. I’m a crammer, so I believe in myself lol

I’m writing about something along the lines of mental disorders and America’s attitude toward them, especially among children and adolescents. just a general topic, not an argument yet; that’s for third quarter!

What's your tips on memorising words?

Use flashcards, either handwritten or made using quizlet (an app and can be used online) they are really helpful ☺ also make sure when you write down the info on the cards that its really concise i.e. a few words, so its easier to remember 💫

I think we are doing the same history course, so I wanted to ask you about coursework. How are you fitting in the primary source analysis and the analysis of your historians- are you integrating them in the essay or doing them separately? Sorry if you don't do AQA history and this is completely irrelevant! Thanks :)

For the primary sources I would try and integrate them with the essay. So I would do say a little content paragraph on the influence of Rosa Parks etc then I would do a separate paragraph just underneath analysing a source of a note written by Rosa Parks. Then for historians, I sectionalise my essay onto time periods and at the end of each analysis period I would summarise briefly historian views and how they contradicted/supported my arguments. The at the end I did the historian analysis of bias and of how their background supports/criticises their views ✨ Hope this helped, not sure if I explained it well 💫

{16 Jan 17} Hidden Figures exceeded all my expectations. I can’t even fully put into words all the emotions that I felt while watching it. I would undoubtably recommend it to anyone.
