I want to see characters being taken care of in an explicit and worshipful way. Home-cooked meals. Hair brushed and braided by gentle hands. Little gifts just because.

I want to read about characters who are not used to kindness being bombarded by acts of service. This trope works romantically and platonically. Give me found family and acts of service - all the ways a character is wrapped up in wordless, explicit care after years of cruelty and having no idea how to handle. I need it.

Introducing the phrase "found family" to fandom spaces was a mistake. Now half of fandon wants to force their "found families" into neat little boxes like "this is the dad, this is the mum, this is the fun uncle, these ones are siblings", even though the entire POINT of found family as a concept was to reject traditional family structures as the norm and rigid ideas of what a family even is, and then they get big mad whenever even dares suggest something romantic or sexual could happen between two completely unrelated mature adult characters they've arbitrarily decided are "parent/child" or "siblings" based on basically NOTHING in canon and start accusing that potential relationship of being incestuous. That's not how that works! That's not how any of this works!!

Happy Holidays, here's a little treat from me and a snippet from something I'm currently working on :3

“In my kingdom, you wouldn’t be treated like that. You’d be respected,” Techno huffed, “Not just respected, you’d be worshipped!”

Phil chuckled, and glanced up at Techno with a raised eyebrow, “Worshipped? Seems like a bit much.”

Techno let out a thoughtful hum, “Well, ok, maybe not everyone would worship you. But some would. You’d be considered a Koretza.”

“Kore…ta?” Phil repeated the word back to Techno, a bit slower in his pronunciation in an attempt to get it right. It was obviously a Nether word, but an unfamiliar one to him. Unsurprising, considering he only knew the basics really, but Techno had been taking care until now to only use beginner phrases around Phil.

“Almost right. Koretza,” Techno said, emphasizing the soft za sound at the end. “Like your full name.”

“Koretza,” Phil attempted again and smiled at Techno’s nod of approval. 

“What’s it mean exactly?” he asked and relaxed a bit, leaning his side up against Techno. This was nice, maybe an impromptu Nether lesson was just what he needed to cheer him up.

Phil felt Techno lay his hand against Phil’s waist, but said nothing and was silent as Techno spoke, “It’s a bit hard to explain, but it basically means empress. Uh- magic empress, probably would be the most accurate. It’s a role that goes way back in history, when people still believed their leaders to be descended from the gods. People don’t really believe in that as much now, but the role of Koretza is still important and highly respected.”

“And they’re worshipped, can’t forget that,” Phil added.

“And worshipped,” Techno smiled, “There would definitely be some people from my region who would worship you, at least.”

Phil grinned, the confrontation from before now forgotten and far from his mind. “And what about you? Would you worship me, Your Grace?”

Techno’s expression changed at Phil’s question, the smile on his face replaced with a much more solemn look. He leaned in closer (wow, when had they gotten so close to each other?), making sure to meet Phil’s eyes with his own and spoke.

“Philza, I would gladly get on my knees and worship you."

Phil is eating breakfast at the table and watches from there as Techno plays with Michael in the living room. He notes how gentle and careful Techno's being and sees the smile on Techno's face as he picks up a happily squealing Michael, making soft whuffling sounds as he nudges his face into Michael's.

I wanna have his babies, Phil thinks to himself.

It takes his brain a few seconds to process the thought before his face begins to flush and he quickly turns away from the two Piglins (who remain blissfully unaware of Phil's current crisis).

Oh no.

Baby fever had struck Phil and apparently his bird brain registered his best friend as a suitable mate to father children.
