im both very surprised and flattered people still see me as a youthlib guy despite not having posted about it in a while lol. i thought most people had forgotten that was a focus of mine by now, very happy that's not the case! but anyway yeah i do! im by far no expert on it and more so focused on youth sexuality but i do have some good links for that.

first for reading material i suggest burn the fig leaf - it's a site focused on recourses to help unlearn sexual shame in regards to paraphilias and includes a list of books on youth sexuality. ive only read one book focused on it so far which is harmful to minors by judith levine and i very very strongly recommend that, it's a great read and it talks about the history of puritan culture in regards to children very thoroughly. a bit old since its from 2002, but still applicable to todays issues imo.

second if you want general youth lib resources there's also the anarchist library, it has a whole youth liberation tag and some really helpful stuff for newcomers. iirc it's how i first learned about the concept of youth liberationism! another one i havent looked at too much but seems very promising is youthliberation.com, especially their children's rights handbook. pretty old since the organisation shutdown in the 1980s, but its still some very fascinating stuff imo. explains youth liberation very well from what ive skimmed through.

i learned and found most of my youth lib knowledge + resources in my pedi days, so i do recommend signing up on a pedi instance if you wanna be around more youth lib pro para people, especially something sfw and maptivism focused like mapsupport.de. a lot of people there are pro youth lib as far as i remember. nnia.space exists too but it censors pro cs pretty badly so. can't recommend it very much lmao. obviously not necessary, but ive had very good experiences when i was on freak university (that unfortunately shut down back in 2024 though, rip <\3).
