First talk about my beautiful fantasy world. Its name is Aspren! At the start of when most civilisations really got going, there were multiple peoples calling the world different names. You had the warmer regions where Dragonborn and Kenku mostly lived, the world was called Kaurth in old draconian, meaning World Egg! If you are wondering why the Kenku didn’t come up with their own name, just picture the Dragonborn collectively grabbing Kenku and just chanting Kaurth repeatedly until they started mimicing them. Yep. Totally true.
Then you had the Dwarven and Giantkin civilisation, who decided on a name together, Nau Thorm. This name is akin to an unholy abomination between Dwarvish and Giant, think google translate latin but with “Le” stitched behind every third word. It also means Far Father.
And then you had a certain mainly Elvish civilisation that decided to abandon originality, naming the world “home” in Elvish, thus Aspren. If you ask just why this name became the mainstream name in the future, the answer would be quite simple. Not through aggression or reason or anything like that, nope! Elves just became really stubborn and stuck to their name for a very, VERY long time. And for some ungodly reason, when you have to decide between your neighbour or the elf who knew your great-great-great-grandfather, most people chose to agree with the elf.
Yea.

Hi there! I am a DnD dungeonmaster who made the totally sane decision to create an entire fictional world, instead of, you know, reading a book. What this means is that I’m creating a new fantasy world built on a unique set of rules, including a new interpretation on gods, demigods and all things divine!
So if you follow me, expect maps, selfmade wikipedia snippets and insane ramblings! Do feel free to engage me in questions, discussions or shouting matches, I love them all!

Only the gods could ever smite me for my hubris, and luckily, for THEM that is, they would never do that.

You know what, this might be a strange opinion but I think the Greek gods are just really neat! Heck, some of the Roman gods can stick around too if they want!
