Late (as always) but as a nice little distraction from our current chaos, I put together a collection of my favorite reads from 2024 (to be clear these are my favorites that I read in 2024, not necessarily ones that came out in 2024!) in no particular order, they are:
🌼 Metal From Heaven by August Clarke
🌼To Shape a Dragons Breath by Moniquill Blackgoose - we just got a date for the sequel! Can’t wait!
🌼We Could Be Rats by Emily Austin - I might do an individual post for this on its pub day if I get it together in time 🐀 (thank you to the publisher and netgalley for this eARC!)
🌼 We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson- I’m slowly making my way through her work!
🌼Penance By Eliza Clark- what a TRIP this book is
🌼Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki - this book was SO emotional in the best possible way
🌼The Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jimenez -truly never read anything like this the writing is BEAUTIFUL
🌼The Maid and The Crocodile By Jordan Ifueko - Dare I say I loved this even more than the Raybearer duology (if that’s possible)
