i dunno if anyone other than me needs to hear this but your stuffed animals love you!

even if they don't sleep in bed with you every night! even if you don't play with them very often! even if they fall on the floor, or you squish them accidentally! even if you forget them in your bag overnight!

they all love you even if you've been spending a lot of time with one specific one and not as much with them! they know that different stuffies help bring you different comfort and they love you and love when you feel happy and safe!

literally dada right here guys. again im at work and i cant stop thinking of these two….im really shocked theres not more with them💔 it’s okay m here to save the day!!!

— jinx is a toddler regressor 110%. she checks all the boxes (and i did a quiz >:3)— from the whining to attitude. she’s constantly in her terrible twos and threes. she’s the walking embodiment of a “if i can, i will” mindset, very determined to do things by herself!! even if ekko tells her she’s too little to do most of it…which she probably is. cutting up her own foods, pouring her own drinks, changing clothes. it’s just so much more fun to accomplish things by herself and to make dada proud!

— definitely involuntarily regresses, especially after everything that occurred in canon. just jinx’s childhood in general causes her to involuntarily regress, she just wants to be loved. to be taken care of. obviously ekko was there and with her during her childhood, so he knows exactly what she needs and he can see right through her. whenever he knows she’s regressed or about to he’ll greet her with the softest voice he can manage, bringing her close and evaluating her.

• ekko could see the way jinx’s body movements shifted, the way her presence almost shrunk up and disappeared right next to him. she was no longer the passionate and loud woman he knew, rather the scared little girl he had encountered time and time again.

tugging her closer to him, he brushed the loose strands from her face as she looked up at him. it was all in her eyes (and her small but permanent pout).

“hi, baby. are you all good?” he asked softly, jinx biting her lip and taking a look around their surroundings. the busy streets of zaun were not what she needed right now.

“leave?” she mumbled, pointing her thumb behind her. ekko chuckled, spinning her around and grabbing her hand.

“of course, blue, lead the way.”

— ekko isn’t a very patient person, however he tries to be with jinx, especially when she’s small and in a bad mindset. he knows she can’t help the whining, the bratty remarks, the straight out refusal to do anything. it’s not fair to hold that against her, and so he doesn’t. if he needs a minute, he lets her know. he’s never gone for more than four-ish minutes at a time, and by the time he returns she’s calm enough to talk to him. sometimes they both need small breathers, and that’s okay! no matter what, any tantrum or meltdown is ended with a snuggle session :3

— jinx is definitely an oral fixation little (twinenem🤞), constantly needing something in her mouth. whether that’s a pacifier, a teether, her own shirt, ekko’s shirt, ekko’s fingers, really anything of ekko’s— she will chew on it. not enough to damage anything, but enough to calm her anxieties. ekko tries to deter jinx from chewing on things that aren’t meant to be chewed on, but he can’t resist her little face and pleading eyes when he pulls things away.

• “ah!” ekko exclaims, watching jinx bring a piece of a wooden puzzle up to her mouth. “no, baby, we don’t chew on that. do you want me to get you a teether?”

frozen like a deer in headlights, jinx slowly let the puzzle piece fall from her grasp and nodded, flicking her head in the direction of their room.

— jinx is a wiggly little! she always needs to be doing something, moving some part of her body. even when her and ekko lay down to sleep, he’ll feel her rubbing her feet against his legs, or her hands gripping each other in a repeated motion. while ekko is working, she’ll be laying on the floor one moment, and the next she’s contorting her body into stretches because she’s so bored!

• ”dada! look! lookkkk! look what i can do!” jinx shouted from her place on the floor, ekko looking over at her with a small hum. what he didn’t expect was his little, somehow bending in ways he could only describe as ‘painful’.

“uh…blue? ya’ sure that’s safe?” he asked, cautiously, as jinx giggled.

“yessssuh! isn’t’t so cool?”

— on rare occasions, jinx will slip into babyspace. not commonly, but sometimes when the voices are too loud and mean or if she’s very tired, she’ll drop below one. ekko has zero problem with this, he loves when his little baby makes an appearance!! he’ll coddle and coo at jinx, almost always holding her. she’s a lot more calm in babyspace, and she only can only really communicate through babbles and whines. she struggles BAD with object permeance when she’s real teeny tiny, the moment ekko leaves her sight she’s in tears.

— arts and crafts all day everyday! ekko loves to set jinx up with crayons, paints, pencils— anything he can get his hands on— and just let her go at it. he’ll sometimes join in with a project of his own, but he loves to watch her mind unfold on the canvas he’s set up. her art is a lot different when she’s little; still very bright but more coherent. she loves drawing fishies and doggies!!

— ekko loves to cuddle, whether in caregiver mode or not. he’s just really big on physical affection, and this is no different! jinx loves when he randomly scoops her up and showers her face in gentle kisses, or when he settles them down for bed together, cradling her close. it’s their favorite thing to do together.

• “shhhh,” ekko shushed, bouncing jinx ever so gently as she fussed. it had been a harder day— jinx had slipped younger than usual and was extremely sensitive and upset. she had used most her energy crying and screaming, now left shaking and whimpering. “it’s okay, i promise you. let it all out, blue.”

all jinx could do was cling to ekko harder, her knuckles becoming white. she could barely make a coherent sound when she went to speak up. ekko shushed her again, holding her closer.

“no need for words, baby, i’ve got you. i’ve always got you. rest your pretty head, i’ll worry about everything else.”

— sevi definitely was a little put off at first, not because of the concept, but because of the fact that there was something so harmful that it caused you to develop this coping skill, whether voluntary or involuntary. she’s more on the fact that she needs to find whoever caused your pain and make them feel it ten times over…though she’ll never say that out loud. she gets over her personal grudges fast, just glad to be your person.

— love language is acts of service 100%, though when you’re tiny she can’t help but be physical with you. sevi needs to know you’re safe at all times, so she’ll grab your hand, intermingle your fingers, guide you gently through public via a hand on your neck or back. small and random physical gestures that make you feel soooo much tinier. sevi can be a cuddle bug even if she denies it— deep into the night you’ll feel her wrap her arms around you and pull you close.

— on that same note, she’ll use physical comfort to calm you down usually. i can see sevi with a younger regressor, so rocking and bouncing is her go-to. though with an older regressor, she offers huge bear hugs that always make you smile! sevi also can’t help but be verbally affectionate during these times too, it hurts her to see her little one so upset.

• “what’s wrong, tiny?” sevi mumbled, blinking to adjust to the dark and tightening her arm around your waist. you’d woken up small and fussy— not out of the usual. you just wanted your mama.

“okay, alright, i’m right here,” she soothed, gently turning you around so you could bury your face in her shoulder. “see? no more tears, mama’s here.”

— big stickler for water and such!! sevi wants to make sure her little one is always healthy, or as healthy as you can be. she doesn’t want you dehydrated or fatigued just because you don’t like the taste of water (she’ll argue that there isn’t a taste…and that’s the point!!! >:c ). she won’t ever force you to drink water, but there’s really no getting out of it. though, if you drink a decent amount of water throughout the day, she lets you have (watered down) juice to end the night! just laying on your tummy either coloring or playing softly with a sippy cup full of your favorite juice. definitely deserved after all the water you had to drink >:(

— whenever she brings home boring paperwork and such, you can’t help but…decorate it. you know you shouldn’t, but it’s boringgggg and takes away your mama!! it’s not fair!!!

• “baby?” sevika asks out loud, setting down her now color-filled reports. you peek your head out from a corner, meeting her gaze. she didn’t look angry or disappointed, just…amused. “d’ya wanna explain to mama what you drew?”

“uhmmm…” you puff your cheeks out. “is’t pretty?”

“it’s very pretty, tiny,” she hums, letting a smirk grace her features. she’d be the only one seeing the reports anyway, it wasn’t that big of a deal. “just tell mama next time when you wanna color, okay?”

— sevi would definitely know how to deal with meltdowns and tantrums. while yes, no caregiver wants their little to have a tantrum or meltdown, sevika knows they’re inevitable. after spending years with jinx (and maybe even isha), she knows what they mean and how to deal with them. you wouldn’t just act out to act out, especially to this degree. so, she lets you cry and scream on your own, not butting in unless you want her to. if you want, she’ll hold you close and let you sob and whine into her chest while she rocks you. sometimes she’ll speak, other times she won’t. sevika usually knows what you need and when you need it, she’s very observant.

— like i said earlier, i see sevi with a younger regressor. idk why it just fits. she’d love to have such an itty bitty thing needing her, clinging to her at all times. it’ll probably heal something in her; being able to defend and protect something so precious rather than destroying. to nurture and love something so vulnerable rather than using it to her advantage. being your mama would be something just so healing for her. but back on the younger regressor topic, sevi would love to cradle and swaddle you up, bottle feeding you until you were drowsy and sleepy. she’d be too tired to go and search for your pacifier, so she’d offer her fingers to you to play with (or chew on..), in hopes to soothe your sleepy whines. you didn’t care— if anything you were closer to your mama.

— she wouldn’t smoke or drink around you while little, just out of respect for your safe place. though you would see her light one if she’s cleaning up dinner and you’re in a different room. whatever kept your mama sane you guess🤷‍♀️ (no like srsly this woman needs a break #getsevikaonacruise )

— sevi would call you a few little nicknames and pet names, though they always depend on the day.

• if you were feeling especially small, it would be “baby, tiny, little one”.

• if it was a lazy morning of such, it would be “love, sweet girl (or precious for a gender neutral!), pretty”.

• if you were being a brat (and you knew it too), it would be “brat”. never in a mean manner, she’d only really use it if you were older and joking around or pushing limits on purpose.

— very attentive and observant! sevi would know what you like and didn’t like, what made you feel safe and didn’t. she’d memorize certain routines and patterns you follow, or she’d help you set some up so you’d be (somewhat) organized. with rules, sevika doesn’t have many, though there are boundaries and such you both know not to cross. any rule is agreed upon by the both of you, sevika would only ever set a rule herself if it would keep you safe and unharmed. zaun can be very dangerous, especially for something so precious. her job can be very dangerous, and it’s not something someone as small as you should be dealing with.

— all in all, i think she’d be an amazing cg :3 sevi gives such mama energy it’s insane

at work thinkin abt bby cait & mama vi…it’s a hole that’ll never close in my brain

cait’s lowk very fussy, esp in toddlerspace. whining or weeping over the smallest things— when vi leaves her sight, when she’s feeling tired or hungry, when she’s under/overstimulated. yeah, she could tell her mama what was wrong, but words r too hard sometimes :((

cait’s range is around 2-5, sometimes dropping lower especially after a hard day. though it’s uncommon, sometimes she’ll drop into babyspace for a day. vi doesn’t mind whatsoever— her teeny tiny girl is just as lovey and snuggly, if not more!

vi has gotten very good at dealing with cait’s meltdowns/tantrums, and though they’re rare, she can work herself up easily. vi’s good at deterring her big emotions into something else, though when cait does bubble over, vi knows exactly what she needs. she’ll hold and rock her while shushing the tiny girl, or she’ll let her cry and scream until she’s calm enough to explain what’s wrong. it just depends on the day. vi does make sure that cait doesn’t start pulling at her hair or scratching up her arm, however sometimes cait doesn’t even realize she’s doing it.

in a modern au, cait would loveeee the aristocats and tinkerbell. her favorite disney princess would def be either snow white or cinderella!! i feel like she’d also really enjoy curious george or bluey, though she’d prefer disney over anything and everything. she is mama’s princess after all!

cait doesn’t drop into kidspace that often either— she’s most comfortable in toddlerspace. though, when she is in kidspace, cait enjoys playing with toy cars and other mechanical toys. she (forces) begs vi to play cars with her, which she obliges to all the time.

cait’s a very picky little. while big, she has a good appetite and a large variety of a palette, but while little, she has the same five comfort foods. she loves fruit and yogurt the most, though for actual meals she loves pastas and chicken. anything else is a 50/50 with her. vi is a decent cook— vander taught her how to sneak different vegetables and such into dishes (for powder and the boys before, even if they were older they still ate horribly). cait will mostly eat anything vi cooks, even if she knows there’s something else snuck in her dish.

she is a cuddle bug. cait is a cuddly little girl, especially in babyspace— always attaching herself to vi. vi has always been strong enough to wisp cait off her feet, mostly when she’s little. vi will cradle, cuddle, or just walk around the house with cait on her hip. it’s easy to do, and it keeps her quiet.

vi calls her cupcake still, but also calls her— caity-cat, baby, muffin, sweetheart, princess, lovey, and little one. cait usually calls her mama, though when in kidspace, it’s ‘mummyyyy!!’.

How to feel tiny

Sometimes, regressing can be tricky. A lot of the first few years of life focus a lot on learning. If you have already learned what the material, your grown-up brain might want to take over, making it hard to enjoy toddler activities.

🟦If you want the experience of learning preschool/kindergarten material again, try learning your shapes, colors, the alphabet, months of the year, or days of the week in another language! You can use fun songs or games to help.

🖍️If you want to experience developing motor skills again, try using your non dominate hand. You can try coloring, learning to write your name, or do basic scissor worksheets. (Please be careful with the scissors!)

🐻If you want to explore and learn science, try learning about animals. Shows like Wild Kratts and Octonauts can be genuinely educational for "grown up" brains. You can also check out books about animals from the library!

🫂Learn social-emotional and coping skills that are appropriate for children. There are many YouTube videos for yoga or meditation for kids. Shows such as Bluey, Author, or Carl the collector are some of my favorites and focus on social skills.

☀️If you want to feel physically tiny, try getting on the floor. Remember when your body was small and everything around you looked big? That was perspective! You can achieve something similar by being on the ground. Just make sure to listen to your body and take breaks if it hurts. You can also cover yourself with a blanket to focus less on your size.
