I did some research on this because I wanted to update Right Away to IOS5 beta 1 BUT I DIDN'T, if you update your device to this firmware, well you can have some preety buggy stuff on it , and the worst part is that nobody knows how to downgrade from it, so yea don't update , just watch the video :)

Allow Remote Desktop access with blank passwords ( LAN only)
Although you may be able to logon locally without a password, Vista just like XP does not allow by default remote access for those accounts. The obvious solution is to set a password for the account, another solution is to change the setting below.
Run gpedit.msc
Go to Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options
Set Accounts: Limit local accounts use of blank passwords to console login only = Disabled

Sharing your laptop wi-fi connection throught an Ethernet cable
Hey people, I just found out a quick and easy way to share an internet connection using a wifi based laptop and an ethernet cable. This can be usefull for PS3, Xbox 360 , Nintendo wii , Laptops , Desktops , whatever has an Ethernet input. I use this at times when my old laptops don't see my wifi-connection because of poor reception.
With your Windows 7 based laptop connected to a working wifi connection ,
click on the SIGNAL BARS and OPEN NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER , go to CHANGE
ADAPTER SETTINGS , right click on your active wireless adapter and select
PROPERTIES , once in there to to the SHARING TAB and checkmark the FIRST and
SECOND BOX, then press SETTINGS and checkmark FTP SERVER , HTTPS , HTTP press ok for all of them.
Make sure that your Ehernet adapter is enabled and if so , you're done and now you hava a working ethernet connection that you can connect to any device that has an Ehernet input . Enjoy

Ey gotta question, I saw a video on youtube that a guy was running Guild Wars on Ubuntu 8.01 im just wondering how I could do this? because I love Ubuntu and if i could play Project Blackout and Guild Wars on Ubuntu I have no need for Windows. Thanks!
Hi , running games in Ubuntu can be a pain but to make it easy , use the program called playonlinux. it's in one of my posts the " running windows application on ubuntu " one. just install that, run , press the install sign one in the program and search for what you want to install. then follow the on-screen steps and that should do it. I tried installing
ps : only some games are patched to work on ubuntu linux but a good 60 % of games will work.

Run MS-Dos in Linux Ubuntu
Last week I stumbled upon an interesting program called DOSBox. It's a free program of course that lets you emulate MS-Dos , the first program created by Microsoft. Usually I use this program to run old DOS games . Since most of the dos games are free and fun to play, I recommend you this program. It's up to you what you do with it ;)
Installation:
1. open up ubuntu software center located in applications menu
2. search for dosbox and install it.
3 go to applications menu, games and open dos box
4 . the program does not read the contents of your drive so you need to mount it by typing :
mount c /home/(your user name)
5 . now, your " virtual" c drive has the same contents as your /home/(your user name) folder
You can type dir so see the current files that you mounted in step 4. use cd (folder name) to go to your desired directory or cd ../ to go to the previous derectory. to run a game, you can go to this site http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/
Download the game and extract it to the desired directory. Ex: /home/via_cos/dosGames/
Now it's just a matter of navigating through your files in DosBox and executing the right .exe file from your games folder.

Uncovering the power of design in Ubuntu
I don't know about you but after 2 days of restraining myself to the default classic Ubuntu look , I themed it , after some trial and error I got nice layed out steps in customizing the look of ubuntu :
1. go in ubuntu software center ( applications ) , and search for compiz
2. on done, install Compiz ; Advances Desktop Effects Settings ; Emerald Theme Manager ; Compiz Fusion Icon and Simple CompizConfig Seetting manager
3. when that is done ; go in applications , System tools , Compiz Fusion Icon . If no window pops up it's normal , the " window " is the blue icon with an arrow inside. right click on it , drag your mouse on SELECT WINDOW DECORATOR and chose Emerald
4. Right click the blue icon again and select EMERALD THEME MANAGER. Now , you will have no themes installed in the new window decorator so let's get some .
http://compiz-themes.org/
5. After you chose the prefered theme , scroll down and click on download, wait for it and then open with Emerald theme manager . If you're using firefox , after the download is complete you can see that the file wants to be opened with Emerald so just do it ;)
6. Select the theme you downloaded from the emerald window and that's it. For window animations , 3D Desktop cube effect and more ; right click on the blue icon again and select setting manager , there you can really spend a whole day making your animations perfect or right click on your desktop and change desktop background ; select the visual effects tab and select custom and click on preferences . There you go.
for more themes chek out : http://gnome-look.org/?xsection=home
