Forever thinking about the time me and my boyfriend talking and he was struggling to open an ice cream, and I said "hand it to me" so I could open it.

Something I was taught by many of my acting coaches and my vocal coach, is that trying to prevent anxiety (and any other emotion) is the worst possible thing to do, because inevitably, it WILL surface at the worst possible time. They meant auditions and stage presence, but I find it applies to almost all aspects of life.

I always tried to push my nerves down during my earlier days of auditions, and I made that mistake again recently, and had probably the worst audition since I was 17 trying out for Something Rotten and cried on stage.

It's okay to feel anxious, or sad, or angry at any given time, and you should never feel like you have to ignore them, or feel like you are failing because of them. The most important thing is how you choose to cope with it, and there's no one size fits all for that, either.

Most people handle anxiety with deep breathing, but since that doesn't work well for me, I use humor to realize that maybe the situation I'm in isn't as serious as it seems.

A lot of people exercise to handle anger, I have friends who draw or play an instrument, and I myself sing until it simmers down.

I'm guilty of trying to combat overthinking by stopping it all together, but I've found it's much more effective and less stressful to just defeat myself with logic, since most of my thoughts involve the worst possible outcomes that are very likely to NOT happen.

You're all allowed to feel things whenever they show up, and I'm sorry that society makes it seem like you can't. But all of you are incredible people worthy of love and understanding. Whatever it is You're aiming for, you've got this! And if YOU don't believe it, then I believe in you twice as hard :)

The whole Purge Day idea is pretty funny to me. Why does Hollywood immediately jump to the conclusion that everyone would become murderers if all laws were removed? Humans lived without laws for a pretty long time, and yes murders happened, but it was never to the degree Hollywood thinks it is.
