There was no doubt in his mind that he had to do everything in his power to stop this. It had been impossible lately to keep track of what was happening in the wizarding world without knowing that Cassandra and Evan were meant to marry today, and he knew that live or die he had to make an effort to stop the wedding from happening. This wasn’t marriage like he knew it. This was a business deal at best. Cassandra deserved better. She had to know that she had options. And so he’d woken up on the morning of March 3rd, determined to make what could very well have been the last mistake he’d ever make. He’d dressed to the nines, just as anyone would expect of a wedding guest, despite the fact that he was a wedding crasher. The dogs had been taken to Amos, with a promise to return for them if he was able - he’d apparated away before his friend could argue with him.
A rather large bouquet had been the next piece of his disguise - large enough that he could effectively hide his face behind it under guise of delivering it to the bride. Fortunately for him, nobody had questioned it - He’d signed the card himself, in hopes that should everything go to plan he’d get the last laugh over Evan Rosier, that he would know that Caradoc had won. He smiled when he turned back to her, quickly closing the doors behind them and setting the flowers down, “But I did. I couldn’t live with myself knowing I didn’t at least try - You… You’re stunning, Cassandra.”
Everything had been so overwhelming: the location, her dress, her soon-to-be-husband -- all felt more than a burden than anything Cassandra could truly enjoy and look forward to. With herself hiding in the far back next to the church, she could see the different guests joining the upcoming ceremony, with herself remaining hidden as tradition dictated. A pureblood marrying another pureblood. Not unheard of, but in her mind she was always set on something different. Speaking of different, and better, Caradoc entered her little world, yet again. “I--” she was lost for words, hands shaking at the thought of him being struck down with the killing curse if anyone were to find out. “I thought you hated me. You know who I am,” not the whole reality behind her mask, but he had always been one of the few she truly trusted, and loved. As she ran towards him Cassandra embraced him, hugged him as tight as she possibly could. “I’m doing this all for you, for your safety, Caradoc.” He probably knew already, but she had to tell him, and herself, over and over again. Cassandra finally released herself after a few seconds and looked at him, her own hands pressed against his neck. “He’s the most jealous man I know -- so I promised I’d marry him to protect you,” and Amos, but that was beside the point “Let me do this for you.”

March 3rd, 1979 St. Paul’s Catherdral, London 9:40 AM
The wedding would take place in exactly twenty minutes. She knew her father had prepared a large wedding with over five-hundred guests, many of which were friends of the family and long-time customers of Borgin & Burkes. The creme de la creme of Death Eaters were present as well to celebrate the wedding of two of their fellow allies. The longer Cassandra stared into the mirror, hair done perfectly, curls softly framing her face, a tiara on her head with shimmering jewels, her body covered in even more luxury as well as couture not many could afford. Her father clearly spent a fortune on creating one of the most memorable weddings in the entire wizarding world. Alas, Cassandra stood up knowing she’d walk to her doom. The doors opened and, while she suspected someone else, it was Caradoc waiting at her door, like a protector, just waiting for her to show herself. “This can’t be real. You--” she started to breathe heavily “are in great danger. You shouldn’t have,” Cassandra whispered. @cxrxdocdexrborn
