Set 10 years after the final battle (manga 424), Deku left the UA and Bakugou's heart couldn't stand the pro-hero life. They meet again by chance and re-build their friendship as they support each other through their shared disappointments.

One thing I really loved about this scene between them is the fact that Bakugo didn’t expect anything to change between him and Deku and that he knew he needed to say everything that he was feeling right at that moment. Horikoshi does a good job conveying how sorry Bakugo has been by first showing us how he would risk his life for Deku during the war arc through his actions and then hinting at the verbal apology through how everyone tried reaching out to him during the Vigilante arc. Also another thing to add it was really great how as Bakugo was speaking we saw bkdk aging from their younger selves to where they stand at the current place in the manga
