"During your Higher Plane arc, growing up, did you ever wish you were a different rank, or held a different role and purpose other than Choir? I often wondered about that, given you had a twin and his career path was so different."

That was a rather bold question from Joshua. One Hanekoma was sure would eventually come up at some point. The fact it did now was new. He couldn't fault Joshua for the question either. He was sure Joshua had a lot of questions that he either wondered but didn't feel like asking because he was confident it'd come up naturally or maybe he just didn't want to bring up for fear of bringing up bad memories. Maybe at another time it would have. It was thoughtfulness and that was what counted, regardless of what side of the coin it was.

" Eh.... It was a long time ago. " He did know the answer to it, but it hardly mattered anymore. He was far, far removed from the fledgling he was then and he was someone in a position to make his own choices now. It was like asking a child if they were happy in a neglectful household when they believed that the negative behaviors were normalized and everyone was punished the same way. The point was he knew the difference now and he wasn't in the system anymore. He could be something to others and be the person he needed when he was a fledgling, rather than what he had instilled in him.

He didn't weaponize his previous position. He'd taken strides to become someone different and it was better now that he was. It took time to get used to the lack of voices but he found his own thoughts where he didn't believe he had any at one point.

while  dimensionally traveling  to  the  hanshin  republic,  hanekoma’s  noise  form  takes  form  as  his  kudan.  while  high  level,  he  does  not  prefer  combat  and  tries  to  stay  out  of  sight  and  mind  to  prevent  any  sort  of  conflict  with  the  gangs  in  the  area.  as  panthera  cantus’s  ‘owner’  ,  the  kudan  takes  on  a  physical  appearance  of  a  red  and  blue  liger  (as  a  feline  rather  than  a  noise)  and  is  bigger  than  he  is.  

he tends to stay around areas that allow him to eat street vendor food and watches baseball or kudan gang fights while he keeps an eye on things with the traveling group for yuko.
