An apartment complex for San Sequoia with a coffee shop, a gym, 4 apartment units (2 with 2 bed - 1 bath and 2 with 1 bed - 1 bath), a laundry room, handyman/storage room and shared outdoor space with a basketball court. Gym and coffee shop can be used as a "small" business.

I had planned to make an office on the second floor of the left wing, but since it didn't really add gameplay value and due to the size of the build I decided to skip that. I did make a floorplan for it tho.

Do the for rent apartments still corrupt save files? Been a year and a half and seems like that problem still isn't fixed as far as I could find. Kinda scared to use them altho I would love to for this build.

Hidden Palms - a cc build (+ shell version) by moonwoodhollow

It was about time to share this glamorous Midcentury Mansion, because who doesn't want their celebrity sims to spend their summer in one of the most (in)famous mansions of Del Sol Valley? Famed for its house parties since the 1960s, Hidden Palms has been a magnet for Del Sol Valley's crème de la crème, (wannabe) starlets, and other rather dubious important people in the simworld. So let your sims grab their most dazzling outfits and get the party started! This lot comes as a furnished version and as a shell version. I'd also like to thank the person who commissioned this build for allowing me to share it with everyone!

This build was a commission, so I wasn't completely free to build whatever I wanted, but it almost felt like I was. The person who commissioned me wanted a celebrity mansion in a midcentury modern architectural style. It was supposed to be a funky colourful build with warm colours and a proper celebrity vibe. The 2 photos underneath were part of their moodboard, and I really like the combination of wood and stone on the exterior wall and a sort of overhang between the floors. So in this building, I added orange tiles on the exterior walls and overhang-flooring, because there are MCM houses that use colorful tiling details on the facade, and I liked that idea, and it really worked out quite well, I think. The inspiration for the basement pool area actually came naturally to me. There wasn't any particular building that inspired me. I was trying things out and spent a lot of time on the floor plan. Initially, I didn't want to create such a large basement, but as it turned out, I wanted to add a lot of rooms, and the floor plan also had to make sense, so that's why I ended up with such a large build. I could probably write a lot more on the process of building this lot, but I still plan to do a little video tour at some point (?), so I might revisit this build then and give you all the details, if you like!

So what do you get?

Hidden Palms is a 50x40 residential lot best placed in Del Sol Valley on the "The Ward Den" lot in the Pinnacles neighbourhood. There are 2 versions of this lot, that you can choose from:

An almost fully furnished version; Every room except for 2 rooms on the 2nd floor is furnished. On the basement level, you'll get a music studio, a private living room, a bedroom, a bar, a spa area, a fitness room, a laundry room, plus the outside pool with stairs into the garden area on the ground floor. On the ground floor, you'll find a guest bedroom, a kitchen with a dining area, a large living room, and an outdoor barbecue area, plus a lush garden. On the 2nd floor, there's a master bedroom, an office, and 2 empty rooms. Bathrooms are scattered all over the house, so your sims won't have trouble finding them!

The shell version is pretty self-explanatory. It's a shell with the flooring and wallpapers of the furnished version, but that's about it. This version is perfect for people who'd like to furnish the house themselves or for everyone who doesn't want to download too much cc.

Uses items from the following packs: looks best with almost all packs. But a tip: take a look at the build in the gallery and click on the packs to see the items I used from that pack, it might also look good with fewer packs.

Zora Ceramics - a cc lot by moonwoodhollow This lot has been in the making for over a year and was originally born from the pottery room I posted back in March 2024. While it was merely a deco room I've always hoped that I could turn it functional someday and I'm so happy it's finally possible. I hope you'll enjoy this version as well - now finally as it was always intended with an unfurnished home for 2-4 sims as well.

So what do you get?

Zora Ceramics is a 20x15 lot best placed in Nordhaven in the Gammelvik neighbourhood on the Old Torget House lot. The lot is currently set as a residential lot. With the new pack, you could combine it as a residential/business lot. The lot consists of one pottery studio with separate access and a family home comprising 3 floors. There are 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor, one of them has an ensuite bathroom.

As I mentioned, this lot was born out of a pottery room I posted about a year ago for a story (that is on indefinite hiatus). Back then I added the pottery room as an addition to a gorgeous lot by @catsaar called Aisling House. It's a stunning lot for Henford-on-Bagley and if you haven't downloaded it, do it! It also served as the inspiration for the courtyard on this lot. While I saved the room separately and placed it on a new lot, the game still considers this lot as catsaar's lot and I hope it's okay for me to share it as it is!
