A character that goes along with @cauldron-clans-rpg which I just joined today. It looks like a great server, and I'm excited to get involved!

And then Glasspaw can see the Presence, just as they can see her. Their noses but centimeters apart. Their eyes staring into hers. They don’t have eyes, blooming lotuses but lines composed of the pigment Glasspaw had spilled into the water. What tears would fall from those eyes fall from the Witchling’s instead. Their sprawling driftwood antlers hold a thousand lotus-eyes. Their pelt holds even more eyes. Those eyes do not belong to the Presence. Glasspaw knows, because she knows those eyes. Fortunately, the cats they belong to still have them. And yet they are here, staring at her, affixed to the pelt of the giant.

A strange encounter with an even stranger being has left Witchling Glasspaw of IsthmusClan in an obsessive haze… Who is this creature of the Scrying Pool, and what are their motives? Find out in CCMM, which is currently OPEN for applications!

Becoming Leader Isn’t Easy...

Though the past few seasons have been relatively peaceful, that has not come without great work- or great cost. 

Confusion is brewing in the Clans as the bodies of all four leaders are found one Greenleaf morning. Nothing about it seems right. Stagstar of WildClan and Dovestar of TreeClan are found in some sort of embrace- and neither were the kind of cat to cross borders for romance. Petal, found downstream, had drowned, but with no marks on his body to indicate how. And Ashstar, perched on the ridge, was found with her muzzle face-down in the water, eyes closed, as if asleep.

This has never happened before. And as all four Clans send their deputies to the judgement’s Eye for their names, they must make sure it never happens again.

A leader of the Wilds must be strong, courageous, and never back down. They would fight to their last breath for what they believe in. Even if that fight is against their own Clan. 

A leader of the Meadows must be faithful to StarClan, and shine a beacon on such a hard time for them all. Kind but firm to the disobedient youth, and watchful for another uprising like the kind of Aspenfrost.

A leader of the Trees must be as adaptable as a young branch in the wind, headstrong, and unwavering in their determination to leave birds at their roots. Too many TreeClan cats have died to break such a rule now, surely? Or will you work within, facing hundreds of seasons of ingrained ableism?

Behind the StarClanner is a tidal wave of viscous black, shining red, made of grabbing claws that stick to the leaves of Leafhome and push it along— push it after the celestial cat running towards them, push it towards the Witches.

In a faraway land where the Veil between dimensions is at its thinnest, held together only by a Great Tree, the four Cauldron Clans engage in an eternal cycle of politics and warfare. Awoken by the scent of blood, a Dark and Starving thing slithers in from beyond the Stars, bringing with it shambling horrors and corruption of what the cats hold most dear… their identities.

Cauldron Clans: Memento Mori is a long-term literate discord WCRP with story events. It falls within the horror/fantasy/adventure genres, with gore, psychological horror, surrealism, cosmic terror, and other related content (with warnings). Due to the horror-focus of this group, our member-base is 16+ only. We are not a grimdark group, and there will be tragedy in equal measure to good times. CCMM has themes of community, separation, discovery, cycle of history, survival, and hope.

CCMM is a player-driven story group. Though the staff will plan out the direction of what’s happening, the steps along the way and final outcome are created by player actions. Player votes will determine the outcome of events, and character interactions send out ripple effects that impact the plot, world, and other characters. Our overarching plots are contained in what we call Books. We look to the future and past, with a plethora of lore to uncover, and how it impacts the characters of the story’s modern day.

Join us in the world of the Cauldron, a land hidden away from the outside world, jailed in by a ring of towering mountains of which no one can escape from. Within this Cauldron are four clans of cats: IsthmusClan, DesertClan, CavernClan, and PrairieClan. Each with their own territory and culture, led by a Leader and the Witches of whom have been given magic by the starry gods above to share with their clan-mates. Magic is a necessity in the Cauldron, as it is not just one another that the clans must survive— within the dark lies a Starving thing, a predator that feeds upon the mind, twisting and warping everything it touches into something just as Hungry as it is…

The Cauldron is home to four Clans of cats, each with their own cultures and histories. Named after their signature biomes, these clans are CavernClan, PrairieClan, IsthmusClan, and DesertClan. CavernClan, known as the Chroniclers, are a group of reserved and studious cats who live within the caverns of their forest home. PrairieClan, the Daredevils, are competitive and tenacious cats residing in a swath of hilly grasslands. IsthmusClan, the Crafty, are a clever and artistic bunch who make their home by the tropical ocean-side. DesertClan, the Bardic, are a band of theatrical and hedonistic felines residing in the sun-baked desert.
