started a Blender course on Coursera (which luckily is provided by my job) and I'm hoping by the end of it, I can eventually fully transition into storytelling with Blender. I'm just tired of feeling so limited with the game, and even expanding my Blender knowledge a bit will pay off in my traditional sim storytelling as well. wish me luck!!!

Hey y'all, there was just an 8.7 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Russia, and basically everywhere in the northern half of the Pacific is at risk of tsunami.

USGS (US Geological Survey) has an interactive map as well as other info, and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) has issues tsunami warnings, advisories, and watches here:

The map doesn't include details for countries outside the US, though, so if anyone has links for that info, please reblog and share.

Hey doll, sorry for taking so long to answer this, I've been crumbling under the weight of an ever-present sense of existential dread, yanno, just ✨girly things✨, but in an effort to combat it, five things that make me happy are:

I'm finally seeing Sleep Token, my favorite band in the world, live in September, and the closer the date gets, the more I absolutely vibrate in anticipation. Less than two months now!!!

MY FUR CHILDREN, they both are the most gorgeous and sweetest angel babies on the face of the planet and I feel so lucky to be loved by them (pictured, left to right: Kira, Priscilla)

3. I'm in the best financial position I've been in in years, and while still not anything to brag about and still definitely NOT rollin' in the Benjis, it's nice to have a little extra to take care of important expenses without letting them get out of hand or even get a lil' treat from time to time!

4. I love my friends with all of my being. I'm so grateful to be surrounded by some of the absolute best humans the world has to offer and to have been able to build such an incredible support system. You don't choose your family, but sometimes, you do, and I'm glad to have found mine.

5. Returning to simblr in order to motivate myself back into writing. (bc it's been working LOL) It's definitely been an interesting experience rebooting an eight year old story that I never completed, on a brand new blog, no less. But I was just saying earlier today, it's been equally as challenging as it's been fulfilling. I have so much passion for this project, and it's always been so very near and dear to my heart. Having the opportunity to reshape and rebuild the story into something I think it deserves, coupled with all the encouragement and constant inspiration I've received along the way, is something I'll never take for granted. Thanks for rocking out with me while I figure this shit out. 🤙
