✧ separated during creation
@ccsouthth
Foresight does not know what it is like to have friendships. Any form of love and affection is unknown to the card and often mistaken it for tolerance and patience. Minki can count the people he might somewhat call his friends with one hand and for someone to have Minki's complete trust? Practically goes unheard of.
Except for one. Maybe. Minki will probably never admit it, though. He most likely does not even know it himself, for a card that is so ignorant towards "human affection".
Now, here is Minki, standing in front of an apartment door, in which the card can already tell that the quality of this apartment is nowhere near as grand and luxurious as his own. They often met outside or at Minki's place since that's what the card preferred but Taehyun was so eager to finish an art piece and have Minki's opinion of it immediately that Taehyun was very adamant of not leaving his apartment until he finished.
Rolling his eyes at the fact that the owner can't hear the damn doorbell because he must be drawing his life away, like always. Minki had been waiting for five minutes already-five minutes too long, and the card was this close to leaving.
[ ✉️  txt message -> tater tae ] open up for fucks sake
[ ✉️  txt message -> tater tae ] i've been standing in front of your door bc you're literally deaf
[ ✉️  txt message -> tater tae ] i swear to god if you make me wait for another five minutes i'm leaving
[ ✉️  txt message -> tater tae ] if i have to call you you’re not going to hear the end of it

✧ ruined plan
@myeoncc
Minki stands behind the shadows, waiting for the scene to play out before him just as he saw it in his head a few minutes ago.
Around the corner of the abandoned alleyway, the card watches two men exchange a large, black duffel bag filled with what he knows are bundles and bundles of cash and various kinds of drugs that they have attempted to conceal with a black, non-see-through plastic bag. He only needs to wait two more minutes before he hears the sound of a siren and the appearance of cops turning the corner. He knew that the bag of money will be dropped as the police chase down the two humans and then the card would be able to pick up some free cash. Not that Foresight tend to do this on a regular basis, but if the opportunity arises, why not? Foresight loved to gain things for himself and the fact that he does not even have to do anything makes it even better.
One minute and thirty seconds remain. And that’s when Minki’s eyes flash white as he sees his plans crumble within the next minute when a man appears onto the scene — a man that was not supposed to thirty seconds ago, and all of a sudden the near future changes. He sees it change to both of them getting chased down by the police despite being completely innocent. The card curses under his breath and his legs are pumping, running towards the male as soon as the sound of sirens is heard in the distance.
“Run!” Minki grabs the arm of the stranger and runs the opposite direction from the two men and the incoming cops, completely forgetting about the bag of money that had been dropped on the floor. He did not care whether or not the bag had been picked up, but more of saving his own ass a trip behind bars for something he was not even a part of.

✧ the card of meddling
@cclucky
It’s not often that Minki gets too focused on something else that he had been neglecting his job as a librarian during work hours. Despite his i-don’t-care-about-life appearance, Minki was a great librarian and knew the library and the thousand of books it houses like the back of his hand. Maybe it was because of his curiosity about humans when the seal first broke, but he loved to gain information from reading. Although, now, he is fairly apathetic towards humans.
Back then, he knew that the Order would not be able to sustain his economic needs forever, but they gave him more than enough to start and when deciding on a more “human” profession, being a librarian suited his taste. During work hours, Minki was often left alone for long periods of time, which is one of the things he loved about working in the library. There were people that would approach him for help, but it was seldom, and they were of than often, humans. He cherished the fact that he did not have to interact and be in the presence of anything magical.
The sound of granite from a pencil tip making contact with paper can be heard from behind the front desk when Minki does not have much to do. The sketchbook that he spends his time drawing on encompasses the numerous visions he sees ever since the seal had been broken. As a freelance artist, sometimes he would translate his sketches on a big canvas for millionaires and rich companies to buy from him. It’s not very consistent, but Minki was able to make a lot from each commission. You can find some of his artworks inside public and private buildings throughout the city, signed under his artist name, Ren.
As such, it is one of those rare moments when the card is extremely focused on the drawing out the sketch in front of him that he does not realize the presence of another watching him and his art come to life.

ccjaebum:
Jaebum grimaces at the sight of his bruised knuckles. His lungs feel like their caving in from the inside and it’s a hard reminder that returning from the future through the Restoration Card really didn’t do anything to improve his weakened state post-Rookie Massacre.
“Cards were created not for their freedom.” He easily says back. Obviously, as League President this isn’t his first encounter with an attitude-filled card. Because they have experienced what it feels like to be free, some cards have forgotten the true purpose of their creation but nothing is going to stop him from reminder them - not even i they make it difficult for him to do so.
He presses his weight against the card’s humanoid form, trapping him against the wall. It’s been a long fight and his energy is depleting fast, he needs to end this sooner than later. “Stop making this hard for both of us. Resist any longer and this will not end well for you. My patience is running thin and I’m not done playing games with you, card.” Up close in his hero form, his eyes always look as if they are glittering with starlight but there’s no mistaking the temper that’s about to flare up in them too.
“What are you?’
“Doesn’t give the right for humans to enslave us,” Minki bites back with a growl as he feels air leave him for a few seconds when his body is pushed back against the wall. He feels the pressure of the other’s larger physique against his smaller human form; the card will not win this fight with strength alone.
“Why, are you disappointed that I’m not as flashy or obvious? Or is that one of the reasons why you want to capture me so bad—I’m not like the others and I will just be another boost to your ego, right Mr. President?” Minki smirks. He sees what happens next, eyes flashing white. “That’s too bad, though. I’m your future’s worst nightmare.”
Foresight sees the realization in the male’s eyes and in that split second of lowering his guard, the card knees the other in the stomach and escapes from his hold. Their positions are nearly reversed, the card maintaining a safe distance away from the hero as the hero is left to turn around from the wall to face Foresight once again.

@ccminki
*~*
It was deep into the night. Many were in their homes, sleeping away until the sun would break through the horizon again. Which meant no one was awake to see the situation that the Assassin and a long lost acquaintance were in. Normally, he wouldn’t go out of his way to help others; it just wasn’t him. Every man for himself, he supposed. But that statement was contradicted by the knife at the perpetrator’s throat, and an arm subduing the said person from moving (yet they still struggled, sigh). He had no idea if the person he held at blade was a hero or human. Better yet, he didn’t care.
A feral grin met the foresight card’s face, “You should watch your back more often, or did you expect me to conveniently be here?” he tsked and would of shook his head in mock annoyance if he wasn’t holding someone. Jisoo anticipated his friend’s words. “Now, what would you like me to do to him?”
*~*
Foresight saw it coming. He knew that walking back home tonight would be a bit different from other nights. A meeting with an old acquaintance. With the help of someone trying to kill him too, but that’s not what’s important.
Minki walked with no hesitance and fright despite knowing exactly what is going to happen to him as soon as he turned the corner. When he felt the presence of danger behind, he stopped in his tracks and counted down.
3, 2, 1.
“Sorry to burst your ego, but I knew you would show up.”
The corners of his lips threatened to curve into a small smile, turning around at the voice of his “savior” and what he might even consider a good friend. He was greeted with the pleasant sight of his perpetrator immobilized by the Assassin.
“Knock him out. He’ll wake up in the morning and won’t try again,” Minki responded while gesturing toward the ground in a nonchalant manner. “And when I say knock him out, try not to kill him.” He paused to give the other a knowing look. “Not that I care, but I want to save your clothes a trip to the washer.”

ccxyuna:
It was a rare thing for Yura to ever go to a library. Unsurprisingly, her eyes quickly caught something else than the books surrounding her, which she was actually supposed to look at. After all she’d promised to research something for a friend… oh well, too bad for the friend.
And what she saw instead was surely not supposed to be seen by her eyes – just like she surely wasn’t supposed to be behind the library’s front desk. And yet Yura had gotten curious and stepped further. She took the sketchbook and started to turn pages, looking at the different sketches.
She couldn’t really make anything of it, but continued to go through it anyway. Yura even forgot to check if the owner was coming anywhere close and whether it would’ve been better to leave unseen.
Minki nearly dropped the set of books in his arms because of what was happening in front of his very eyes.
It was like a regular day at the library where Minki had to bring the books that have been returned back to their respective shelves. He often took his time, leaving the front desk empty while he walked in between numerous sections of the library. He usually didn’t have a problem because not many people needed the help of a person behind the front desk with technology nowadays. And if there was someone, Minki returned without the person having to wait for a very long time.
Today, someone came to the front desk. But what he saw nearly made him scream despite being in such a quiet sanctum.
“People don’t usually go around touching other people’s belongings, miss.” Minki swiped the sketchbook from her hands, placing it on the table with the drawings facing downward. He tried his best to keep his voice low and not yell because he was still an employee and in the middle of working, but he didn’t bother hiding the annoyance between his teeth.

You aren’t someone who normally receives the morning mail from an owl, but there’s a Snowy Owl perched outside your window. Held in its beak is an elegant, burgundy envelope with your name and address handwritten in black ink. Should you decide to open the window, your winged messenger will take off to the skies after handing you the envelope. You look for a seal or family crest to no avail, yet it still carries the aura of something official. Do you dare open it?
Opening the envelope releases the warm, ashy scent of incense. Yellow flower petals shoot out from the envelope as though they were spring loaded, and they bring with them the refreshing scent of Ylang Ylang oil. You look inside the envelope. As it turns out, its actual contents aren’t as elegant and mysterious as you’ve been lead on to believe.
It’s nothing but a flyer for some store holding a 50% off sale. Ah, marketing tactics these days! You scan some of the offers for this strange place – Yuuko’s Shop, it’s called – and none of them are accompanied by pictures. The coupon expiry dates are odd too, most of them either expiring decades ago or will expire decades from now. You read only some of the deals:
Something big is coming soon. ☹︎☜︎✌︎☝︎🕆︎☜︎😐︎✋︎☪︎☠︎✌︎ Yuuko Ichihara
Enchanted Glasses are 50% off – be able to see magic for the very first time!
Owl Delivery Service are 50% off for a limited time only
Fortune Telling is purchase 1 meeting, get the other half off!
Whether you choose to visit the address or throw the letter in the garbage is up to you. But before you make your decision, the bottom of the flyer catches your eye:
Get all your magical needs before it’s too late!
As soon as Minki steps out of his master bathroom, he is greeted with an owl perched on top of his balcony’s rails. He adjusts the string of his robe with a tilt of his head and a raise of his eyebrows in confusion because you don’t see a messenger owl every day. Minki is hesitant but the burgundy envelope catches his eyes and he gets the feeling of urgency and importance that he has no choice but to step out into his balcony in just a robe to obtain it from the owl.
As the owl flies back to wherever it came from, Minki studies his name handwritten beautifully in black ink on the envelope and proceeds to open it carefully. After reading the contents of the letter, Minki let’s out a scoff, rolling his eyes in doubt and misbelief. There was no way he was going to visit such a place that wreaked magic and attracted probably hundreds of other magical beings. No thanks. It wasn’t his scene and he’d rather have nothing to do with other cards and heroes.
Foresight would know best if there was something big happening in the future and so he closes his eyes and concentrates.
He sees nothing. He frowns and looks through the future—one week, three months, one year. But he sees nothing out of the ordinary that would ensue such a letter to be written to him and perhaps others.
Unknown to the card, however, not even Foresight would be able to see what is about come.

ccxenvy:
envy is quick to return to his usual stool at the counter, already back in his normal form and thumbing away at the small stack of bills that he had pocketed from the usual regular businessmen he comes across at this establishment. he slips one bill towards the bartender in exchange for a glass of whiskey over ice, and he takes contemplative sips, but not before sensing the presence of a fellow card.
he turns to his right, surprised to find that a card is sitting right next to him already starting a line of shots. minki, the foresight card. of course. his heart hurts unwillingly at the memory of seeing his fellow accomplice be another victim of the hanged man, but he pushes it down, taking another sip.
they had been working together, respecting each other long before the apocalypse even started, so he swallows the alcohol burning in his throat, takes a deep breath, and exhales.
“‘s been a while since i’ve seen you, huh?” he asks, his eyes already on the other card, as nonchalant as he can be.
Minki would have missed the small person next to him if that said small person did not suddenly turn to talk to him. He had to blink twice because why the fuck is a mini human at a bar and why the fuck is he talking to me?
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, but you shouldn’t be at a place like this, little one.”
Minki turns his head to face straight, away from the other, to bring another shot to his lips. He didn’t have time to deal with mini humans right now so he hoped that ignoring him will cause him to leave him alone and scram. For some reason, there is this weird feeling in his stomach and the card doesn’t know what it is but he knows for sure that it’s definitely not coming from the alcohol. Minki chooses to ignore the weird tugging feeling he’s having and focuses on blurring his mind from the waves of visions, gesturing toward the bartender for yet another drink.

ccjaehee:
The store was packed and peoeple were roaming around, trying this product and that and not seeming to pay particular attention to Jaehee. It was kind of amusing to the girl, simply because if they did look, they would see her face plastered all over the walls but instead, they were focusing on the deals that were there and the money they would save.
Jaehee didn’t know what it was that had brought her into the store that day as she wandered around, picking up this cosmetic and that one, but her mind kept wandering back to what seemed like pure luck that had gotten her to be the face of this particular brand but it seemed particularly odd how it had happened too.
A stranger seemingly coming out of nowhere (not really nowhere though, since he had been in the store at the time) and suggesting this brand to her with a twinkle in his eye as though he knew something that she didn’t. Of course, she didn’t think much of it and focused more so on the fact that he thought the brand would do her good, which it turned out, it did. In more ways than one.
Jaehee put down the product she had in her hand and went to go to another counter when a familiar figure caught her eye, one who seemed to stumble into the store and it took a moment before recognition hit. It was that boy.
“Hey, you…” she said, pointing at him and blinking for a moment before dropping her hand by her side. She looked around and it seemed as though people were still too wrapped up in their own tasks to pay attention to the two and she hurried to move a little closer to the stranger. “It’s you again, isn’t it? The one who told me about this brand?” she gestured to the postures. “It looks like it worked out well for me, how did you know that it would?”
Minki nearly sighed because damn, out of all the humans he had to have helped, it just happened to be a famous one.
“Who me? I think you got the wrong person.” He tries his best to play it cool, hoping that his acting skills would be able to fool the human girl. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Minki, tried. Really. But the look on her face says otherwise and he knew that he was not going to be able to run away. Even if he would not be able to lie about everything, it should be easy enough to fool her since he could not sense any magic coming from her.
“Okay, yes it was me that day, but I swear I didn’t know.”
She’s suddenly too close. Way too close; in her attempt to keep it on a down low and also because more and more people kept flooding the store as the minutes go by. Minki creates some room between them by backing up, but he doesn’t get too far because he’s suddenly bumping into another human and he has to hold himself back from snapping for getting in his way. Right, she’s a celebrity of some sort so this isn’t exactly the best place to talk.
“Look, I’m just a good guesser. It seemed like this brand was getting more popular, that’s all.”

cceun:
this place smells unpleasant. she knows that’s not a nice thing to think about places, who have no control over what they smell like, and she’s truly very sorry for thinking it, but it’s the truth.
there’s a bitterness in this air. it’s offensive, but she doesn’t really know that emotion, so she just crosses one pale leg over the other and stares more intently at the bar top. she wishes her friend would come back sooner. she wonders if refusing to dance was a mistake. this isn’t her usual scene and she completely understands why.
‘hi,’ comes the voice of a man.
“hi,” she answers, bowing her head and smiling back.
this man talks to her, asks her name, calls her pretty, and buys her a drink. she’s not great at starting conversations but she is phenomenal at keeping them going, so they keep talking for what seems like hours. she couldn’t be more thankful for meeting him.
Minki continues to watch―the man approaches her, sweet talks her, and buys her a drink that he secretly spikes with a small tablet that instantly dissolved before the oblivious girl could notice―exactly as how he saw it. He shakes his head and nearly clicks his tongue in disappointment, shoving another shot down his throat. Stupid girl. The scene in front of him played out perfectly, and soon, the girl’s tragic future will play out just as perfectly. If he doesn’t do something about it.
Minki places a couple of bills down on the bar without looking and nearly rolls his eyes because is he really about to do this? His eyes flash white for a fraction of a second and he’s on his feet, heading straight for his target. He saw it already―how the man would get into a fight with some other stranger once he notices that there happened to be someone else’s wallet by his feet. Minki’s swift, easily swiping the wallet from the drunken male from his vision and discreetly throws the wallet onto his target’s feet as if he’s just walking by. He leans back against the wall on the other side of the bar and watches the future he created.
To his amusement, the drunken male does indeed find his wallet on the floor by the male’s feet and starts a rough fight. Minki wraps his fingers around the girl’s wrist and pulls her through the exit before she could get in the way. He releases his grip once the cold, night air hits and dusts off any dirt that found it’s way onto his clothes while weaving in between the bar fight.
“I’ve never seen such a foolish card before.”

✧ the innocence of mini humans
@ccxyoungmin
Life is mundane, much to Minki’s pleasure.
The Order had been pretty quiet lately; most likely because their recent attempts at cornering Minki had been unsuccessful because he was always one step, two steps, and even ten steps ahead of which ever rookie or elite member was sent to find him. He had ruined a couple of human’s futures in the past week; he promises that it was very minor, but one ended up losing his job and another ended up being found by loan sharks. A regular person would think that Minki is merely bored, but he was pretty content with living like this―not being bothered by magical beings and humans is a pretty damn good life.
On his way to work, the stroll through the park seemed to be very normal. He observes the humans and their tamed beasts playing with circular, bouncy things (I think they’re called rubber balls) for leisure. It would have been a normal commute to work if it was not for the fact that Minki was suddenly on the floor, his hair and clothes being pulled by screaming mini humans.
“HYUNG, YOU’RE SO PRETTY.” “UNNIE, YOUR HAIR IS SO NICE.” “I’M GONNA TELL MY MOMMY TO BRING YOU HOME WITH ME.”
Not everyday would you find children attacking the Foresight card. And, Minki is not having it.
“Oh my god, not the face! My hair is not something to pull―stop hugging me you little human―“

✧ the attempt
@ccjaebum
Minki swipes at the corner of his lips, the color of red tainting his finger as he smirked at his opponent. “As expected of the League President.” He could feel the tightness of his jaw that had come into contact with Jaebum’s fist, and he prepares himself for what is to come.
“But you’re never going to capture me.” Minki’s eyes glow a hypnotizing white within the darkness of the discreet alleyway. As much as possible, he did not want to transform in fear of giving away too much of himself. His opponent is the President of the League of Magical Heroes for gods sake and he did not want to become another target for the rest of the league.
Minki sees Jaebum―he sees the possibilities of what he could do and what he will do. The card will always be one step, two steps, and even three steps ahead. The League President is full of surprises, however, living up to his reputation. Practically, no one could ever lay a surprise on the Foresight card. Much to his dismay, it is more disadvantageous for Minki the longer the fight lasts. Heavily relying on precognition, the card would be better off doing what he does best―escape.
“Cards are not meant to be prisoners of humans.”

✧ foolish save
@cceun
Minki’s back at the one place he really doesn’t want to be in―the bar.
The card was on his way to the liquor store to finally occupy the emptiness of his wine cabinet when he caught a vision of a member of the Order already waiting for him there. It was not a surprise to anyone who knew of Minki’s existence that he likes his wines and champagne, so it was not too much of a surprise to find an ambush waiting for him. Thanks to his powers, however, the card will always be a step ahead.
That brings Minki back to the godforsaken establishment filled with intoxicated men, drinking their lives and futures away, and younger adults doing what he thinks means “socializing” in human terms; he will never understand it, really. It was probably best to wait until tomorrow to try and purchase his beloved bottles of liquor so now he has to settle with mediocre shots of whatever is the most expensive alcohol the bartender could give him.
Bringing the glass to his mouth, Minki observes the humans in the room. He tries to see if he can gain something from someone here, gesturing towards the bartender for another shot. To his dismay, the futures of these humans are ordinary and filled with routine, such as going back home to a family or spending the night at a friend’s house, until he sees her.
Despite the innocence to her looks, she reeks of magic. Her future, however, makes him want to click his tongue and shake his head in disappointed because how foolish of her to be so careless. He stays in his seat, continuing his observation as he waits for her future to play out in front of him. Minki waits, not because he was going to allow it to happen, but because he has yet to decide whether he should spare this foolish card from what is to come.

@ccjaehee
Sometimes it was such a hassle for the Foresight card to have embodied the appearance of such a handsome human male. And this was one of those moments.
Really, the poor boy did not even get a chance to reject the older lady that was standing outside of a makeup store, handing out flyers and yelling at the top of her lungs about the store having a sale in order to lure people in, when he felt himself being stopped as he tried his best to pass by without getting noticed. Before he can run away, Minki was practically pushed into the store with a shout of “Look at how pretty you are, our makeup will look beautiful on your skin!”.
He could’ve ran out from there as soon as he stepped (more like tripped) in, but Minki makes eye contact with a female whom he is sure has seen before. It is only when he looks around that he realizes that oh, it IS her. Her face is everywhere in the store—on the walls, posters, and that’s when he realizes that out of all the makeup stores he got dragged into, it was the one the female now models for.
Minki can see the recognition on her face as she quickly approaches him and the boy lost his chance to run away.

Minki needed a drink. Badly.
This really isn’t Minki’s scene at all, though. He would rather not be inside a bar filled with intoxicated, pathetic humans, drinking their lives and futures away, but the emptiness of his wine cabinet is really testing his patience right now.
There are visions he doesn’t understand—strangers fill his mind, various events paint the walls of his brain; too many all at once. Tonight was not a good night and Minki would rather take the “human way out”, using alcohol to blur his mind and, hopefully, get some decent sleep without visions flooding his dreams within the next few hours.
He takes a shot into his mouth, gesturing toward the bartender for another with the twitch of his fingers. It takes a whole lot for the card to get even slightly tipsy so this was going to be one hell of a night.
