✧ ruined plan

Minki stands behind the shadows, waiting for the scene to play out before him just as he saw it in his head a few minutes ago.

Around the corner of the abandoned alleyway, the card watches two men exchange a large, black duffel bag filled with what he knows are bundles and bundles of cash and various kinds of drugs that they have attempted to conceal with a black, non-see-through plastic bag. He only needs to wait two more minutes before he hears the sound of a siren and the appearance of cops turning the corner. He knew that the bag of money will be dropped as the police chase down the two humans and then the card would be able to pick up some free cash. Not that Foresight tend to do this on a regular basis, but if the opportunity arises, why not? Foresight loved to gain things for himself and the fact that he does not even have to do anything makes it even better.

One minute and thirty seconds remain. And that’s when Minki’s eyes flash white as he sees his plans crumble within the next minute when a man appears onto the scene — a man that was not supposed to thirty seconds ago, and all of a sudden the near future changes. He sees it change to both of them getting chased down by the police despite being completely innocent. The card curses under his breath and his legs are pumping, running towards the male as soon as the sound of sirens is heard in the distance.

“Run!” Minki grabs the arm of the stranger and runs the opposite direction from the two men and the incoming cops, completely forgetting about the bag of money that had been dropped on the floor. He did not care whether or not the bag had been picked up, but more of saving his own ass a trip behind bars for something he was not even a part of.

Ji Hyo was on her break at work and instead of spending the time indoors with her colleagues, she decided to take advantage of the weather and went for a stroll. With a coffee in hand, she sighed, thinking about all the paperwork she had been assigned yet again while everyone else was out and about on the streets being of more help.

You’re helping too Ji Hyo...just not in the way that you want, a part of her reminded herself but it didn’t make her feel any better.

As she thought about what to do and wondering if she could get the paperwork done by someone else so she could patrol, she almost missed a figure that was sitting on a bench with his back to her. Ji Hyo wouldn’t have thought much of it and kept going, but a grin appeared on her face because she recognized the back of that particular head.

Slowly, tip-toeing and hoping he wouldn’t notice her presence, she approached him, pausing here and there just in case he might detect her presence before she was standing right behind him and placed a hand over his eyes. 

Lowering her voice to attempt to not sound like herself she said. “Guess who?”
