That's not an ask for an hc or drawing, but it's about Encanto (you don't have to publish it)

For the story, I'm second to last in a family of four. My oldest sibling is missing every opportunity and wasting their life. My older sister is perfect to everybody but in an unconventional way. And, not wanting to brag or anything but I succeed in the path I chose which is pretty traditional.

When I watched Encanto, I related so much to Luisa, because she has to feel pressure because of her gift AND she feels like she has to make up for Mirabel's lack of gift AND Mirabel is very insensitive about that (I cried during whole surface pressure)

But when I talked to my sibling, they told me they related to Luisa, because they always feel so much pressure (which confirmed my comparison to Mirabel's insensitivity, because I'm in a formation that is objectively waaaay more intense, and, still living with my parents, I feel their pression more than my sibling does)

Anyways Luisa is so well-written and so is her song!

awww yes Luisa is definitely a favorite for everyone

When I realized that I was lacking serotonin I reviewed Encanto for the third time. Do I regret it? No

It just made me realize that this is my comfort cartoon and I'm just ready to weep with love for the whole Madrigal family!

Which is hilarious! I didn't plan on drawing all of 😎Grandma Madrigal's grandchildren😎, but it just somehow worked itself out!!!

P.S. I apologize if the skin tone of the characters is not exactly the same as the original! I couldn't find the right colored pencils😨

encanto isn't above criticism, and while it's an amazing movie can we talk about how disappointing the plot was?

we've got this magical family with characters that have great potential, an interesting setting and the build up for a great coming of age like movie

and it just, goes nowhere

idk it felt lacking

I love it to death, and it's definitely my current hyper fixation, but I feel like we could benefit from a series where we meet the rest of the characters and we explore more relationships.

encanto, as a town, has so much potential for different scenarios and different characters and I really want to see that.

While Bruno is a socially awkward little man that lives in the walks, I hc that when Mirabel was little and Bruno was still part of the family he used to use his "acting gift" around her (and the other children) to keep them entertained. Mirabel, being 5, loved it and when Bruno sees her in the walls 10 years later he panics and goes to what he thinks will work.

It doesn't.

•camilo and mirabel made a deal with their parents that camilo could stay in the nursery until mirabel also got her room, giving the 'twins' one last month of sleepovers

•in the nights leading up to mirabel's gift ceremony the two of them would guess what mirabels gift would be

•mirabels glasses are green because every grandkid has their parents colors (with the exception of isabela who has abuelas), but her tio had no kids so she got green frames to match him. since then she's stuck with it

•luisa used to always do mirabels hair- she watched her mama do it enough times to know how- and actually did it the night of mirabels ceremony.

•before her gift, isabela had the furthest thing from a green thumb. abuela had a mini garden outside casita and isabela wasn't allowed near it because she would kill the plants

•when camilo got his gift, he would shapeshift into mirabel to a) confuse everyone and b) get out of his new chores in town

•BRUNO TEACHING CAMILO HOW TO ACT

•the grandkids would put on "shows" for the adults, camilo always in lead, and bruno always the director. although he never did much because isabela and dolores often took over. he didn't mind tho, supervising was fun enough when watching chaos unfold

•this is a bit post ceremony but abuela is the one who gave mirabel all her sewing and embroidery supplies. it was to keep her busy when everyone else was using their gifts in town

but in isabela and luisa's songs, mirabel is thrown about and left to cling onto her sisters for dear life. her getting thrown about is a common theme and in we don't talk about bruno there's no exception when she falls through the hole in the ground

but camilo catches her and sets her down gently
