The interpretation in my Mythologia Fennica book talks about characteristics such as lacking trust, having lack of faith in others, having illusionary fears that may be based on past experiences or childhood trauma. It advices you to trust your intuition and not give so much weight for others opinions. I think this card speaks for you both. They may have these types of issues, and you may be delving into too many fantasies about them. Having too many options in your mind could adversely keep you from finding and seeing what's right in front of you! Getting to know yourself, and more through self-knowledge getting to know your future spouse, is something self-reflection can open up for you. It means a sea monster of many types that comes from the depths of the ocean in Mythologia Fennica deck. It represents the deep subconscious mind. Resolving these issues asap is a good approach. Take the issues and look straight at them. When you look deeper into yourself, into your subconscious, see the roots of where these problems possibly stem from. One at a time. When you can identify why these monsters litter your beautiful self, you can begin working on these problems you have. What you see and notice on the surface thus has deeper origins that may not be so easily seen, as they are, in the darkness beneath the surface and the deeper than the shallows of the shores.

(As anyone, I can recommend therapy, sometimes things need an objective second mind to help us through our problems - I believe it is safer to talk with someone reliable about deeper problems and not push through things by yourself. If you cannot afford or it's not an option to seek therapy, peer support groups could be another viable and good option.) <3
