Children are often taught that selfishness is what causes society's problems.

But that's not true at all. Most of society's problems are caused by people going against their own selfish interests.

When a working class bootlicker simps for the rich, they're not being selfish. They're not saving themself by sacrificing others. They're hurting themself in order to gain the satisfaction of watching someone else be hurt more.

If two homeless people are both applying for the same job and whoever gets it won't be homeless anymore, it's completely morally justified for each one of them to want it to be themself who gets the job.

Selfishness is not the problem. The problem isn't that only some can be saved and everyone wants it to be themself who's saved. The problem is that it's possible to save everyone and people are fighting against that.

Pretty much every creative on here and all other platforms is already talking and debating a **lot** about AI and whether it’s good or bad, so I’m not gonna get caught up in that discourse (although obviously I, like anyone else, have my own personal feelings and views on the matter). These will be the **first and** (hopefully) **last** posts I plan to make on the topic, but I have a few thoughts about it all from in the shower yesterday that I wanted to share on here, so just a heads up that my next few posts will be about that.
