I found these obscure Sonic games today at the #goodwill thrift store LOL! Based on the “Black Knight” booklet, the game appears to be a hack-n-slash designed specifically for the Wii’s controller gyro gestures & “Secret Rings” looks like a traditional Sonic game taken place in Medieval times. With #sonicthehedgehog2 move releasing this Friday, I’d thought it would be cool to feature some of my favorite Sonic games starting with the cart racers. The first two will be from 2 console generations, Sonic All-Star and Team Sonic Racing. Both very enjoyable, the PS3 version plays like a traditional cart racer with casts from various Sega games and the PS4 version only has characters from Sonic games & team oriented. This obscure, cross-Capcom universe fighting game was released on the PS2 and Japanese arcades in 2003 to replace the failed unreleased game: Capcom Fighting All-Stars. CFE was the closest thing to get “Red Earth” on the US console. Another exciting news Capcom announced after #CPT2022 is The Capcom Fighting Collection! And out of all the games they stood out to me that was showcased wasn’t a fighting game, in fact it was the only puzzle game in the bundle: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo! It’s one of the few only PS1 game I saved in fairly good condition that I kept for over 20 years! Here’s another Street Fighter 15th Anniversary controller released in 2004 by the same company that released the image changing FightPad, NubyTech. The stick is officially licensed by @capcomusa with artwork made by the guys from @udonent I acquired this stick about 3 years ago for a pretty good deal along with an identical FS set, MvC2, an original Xbox, and an Xbox video output to HDMI adapter. The beautiful thing about this controller is that it feel like it was taken off an American arcade cabinet; the generic stick feels like an Industrial Lorenzo stick, the body is made out of MDF composite wood, the top is layered with a plexiglass with t-molding reinforced along the trim and not to mention, it works with both PS2 and the OG Xbox! The bad side is the buttons are too stiff, bulky with high actuations (as seen on photo) also they are hard to replace considering they are soldered onto a PCB board.
