Pitch Experience: Part 1 Not Bad Huh?
It’s pitching time! Isn’t it exciting? No, it’s not. To be honest, the word “pitch” that I am familiar with is the one from baseball, not the one I’ll be sharing. So, after learning the other meaning of this term, I suddenly felt nervous because pitching is the same as talking in front of a crowd, which is a weakness of mine. Pitching is the process of presenting the innovative idea you have thought of in a professional way.
We have been instructed to look for facilities and identify problems to construct an innovative solution. I have several ideas in mind, but only a few were presented since most are impractical, like the first one I thought of: self-arranging chairs powered by Bluetooth. Really? Is that even possible? I thought of that because I felt sorry for those people who are exhausted and weak while they are forced to carry and arrange the chairs to our teacher’s preference. I wanted to create technology to make our lives easier, but I realized that the more I thought about it, the more complicated it became. I can’t make it possible because I envisioned wheels on every foot of the chair, which made me realize that carrying the chairs is easier than implementing that technology.
Next, I thought of the idea of a vending machine with different types of bread, but it already exists in some countries. I also thought of gym filters to help you visualize your fitness goals, whether to be muscular or just slim. There would be a mirror with filters, but I couldn’t pursue it due to a lack of resources. I considered applying the filters to a barber shop so you could see how different haircuts would look based on your head size and select your desired style. Unfortunately, that idea was already taken, and I ran out of ideas.
So it’s pitching time! The venue was the AVR room in CIC. It was very comfortable there, so I didn’t waste time pitching. I struggled to find ideas, but luckily, just before our pitching session, I came up with an idea! It was about agriculture, specifically ducks. The problem is that it is hard to determine the gender of a duckling, so I proposed a solution that involved analyzing their blood to identify gender differences. As I went in front of the crowd, I presented my idea thoroughly, but sadly, it was not accepted. Later on, I reflected on why it was rejected and realized that there were some aspects of the problem that my technology couldn’t solve.

Pitch Experience: Part 2/ Finale Any Last Words?
The next pitch came a few months later, and I noticed that I wasn't nervous anymore. I think it's because I had experienced what it's like to be in front of my classmates. This pitch was about LPGs because I had experienced a problem where the gas suddenly ran out, and it was because I wasn't aware of when it would be empty or the gas levels in the tank. So, I thought I could create a technology to monitor the amount of gas left inside the tank. I called it GasWise Pro, a stove with a display monitor that automatically turns on when you turn on your LPG. It was a good proposal, as Sir said, but it was only neutrally approved because there were details I didn't know well, and I was asked to repeat it next time to improve my product. My classmates also had suggestions to further enhance my product, and I was grateful to them. Our instructor recommended adding a leak detector to my product, asking, "What is more important to you, the satisfaction of your stomach or safety?" I preferred safety, and Sir shared the idea of, "What if there is a leak, and you won't know about it?" So, I became curious and followed our instructor's suggestion.
After that, I immediately researched more about my product and realized that the problem lies with the stove itself since most people already have stoves in their houses and don't need to buy a new one for those minor benefits. So, I thought of changing my product to something more convenient, a regulator, so I named it WiseGas Pro Regulator as it is somehow similar to my former product it is more effective that is why I put the wise first. The regulator acts as a barrier to prevent pressure from exceeding its standard amount to avoid bursting. I added a twist to detect leaks by incorporating an analog system with sensors and indicators. A gas sensor detects LPG and alerts the indicators, which are three colored LED lights (green for almost full to full, yellow for half and almost empty, and red for empty), along with a slow tempo beeping sound. To detect leaks, the beeping buzzer will beep rapidly while the red light is blinking. With these developments, Sir finally approved my idea, and I felt joy and satisfaction.
Reflecting on my experiences in class from the start to the last part, which is the pitching, I have come to realize that I have really developed in the realm of business. The teachings of our instructor were impactful, as they made me feel confident to take risks and start a business. Though I wasn't convinced by him at first and felt intimidated, it made me realize that "I will be serious this time." I laughed at a so-called quiz he gave us, where we were instructed to use blue ballpoint pens, knowing that most of us only had black pens. Without the pen, I rushed out of the campus just to buy one, only to find out it was a simple quiz about connecting dots.
Although I was frustrated, I later understood that he was setting expectations and preparing us for future challenges. He wanted to show that he wouldn't pamper us and that we were now in a different stage of life. His tough approach was meant to prepare us for the real world.
Overall, there were bunch of ups and downs yet are not entirely undoable. As the semester ends, I hope to use what I've learned in my future career. The lessons and experiences from this course have been invaluable, and I am eager to apply them in real-world situations. I appreciate our instructor for pushing us to think differently and become more resilient. His challenges and high expectations have helped us grow and prepared us for the obstacles we may face in our professional lives. Overall, this experience has been crucial in shaping my approach to future endeavors.
These are my Last Words.

What's it like to be a Technopreneur: A Technopreneur Mindset
Have we ever encountered applications that we considered advanced? Or have we shared them with our peers simply because they are "high tech"? It's thanks to the ideas of bright-minded technopreneurs that we have such innovations. Technopreneurs are those individuals whose minds are actively engaged in creating what's technologically new and advanced for the development of the world and its economy. Introducing novel products presents significant challenges, yet it also opens up new opportunities, creates jobs, and establishes entire sectors of the economy.
Our instructor said "Do you want to become a technopreneur? Then, be prepared to embrace not the success as instant as you want it to be, rather be fruitful with the experience of rejection and taking risks". For those with a strong passion for creativity and a readiness to confront uncertainties, the benefits can be substantial. Technopreneurs, in particular, derive immense satisfaction from tackling these challenges directly, seeing them not as obstacles but as opportunities for advancement. They thrive on the unpredictable nature of the journey, using each challenge as a stepping stone toward success.
Technopreneurs possess a deep understanding of emerging technologies and their potential applications in the business world. They are not afraid to take risks and embrace uncertainty, viewing challenges as opportunities for growth rather than setbacks. Constantly seeking out new solutions and approaches, technopreneurs are driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation. They are highly adaptable, able to pivot quickly in response to changing market dynamics. Collaboration and networking are key components of the technopreneur mindset, as they understand the value of building partnerships and leveraging collective expertise. Above all, technopreneurs are passionate about creating positive change through the intersection of technology and entrepreneurship, driving progress and shaping the future of industries.
I've understood that being a technopreneur is open to everyone, regardless of age or category. You just need to have the vigor and determination to pursue the bright ideas you have. Identifying a problem, conducting market research, formulating a solution to that problem, developing a business plan comprising the business model, target market, revenue streams, and growth strategy, understanding your funds, and launching your product are all guidelines for an effective and productive technological business.

Technopreneurship, Really? What's with it?
The first time I heard this word, I was somewhat confused about what topics I would be encountering for the rest of the semester. I knew the word entrepreneurship, which is all about selling stuff and teaches you how to start your own business. I really hoped it would be somewhat similar. One night, while looking at the subjects that would be included, I was simply reading when I realized that Technopreneurship was one of our major subjects. This realization planted nervousness in my mind, knowing that I was ignorant about it.
After that day, our subject's agenda was set. Our instructor flawlessly explained the framework of the subject Technopreneurship. As I had guessed, it revolves around the concept of entrepreneurship but is related to technology. How so? I can describe it as an upgraded course in business since it channels your inner thoughts into reality, which can clearly happen with the power of technology.
Our instructor explained that Technopreneurship merges technology with entrepreneurship. It entails the innovative use of technological advancements to initiate, develop, and manage new business ventures or to transform existing ones. Technopreneurs utilize advanced technologies to create products, services, or processes that meet market demands, solve problems, or open up new opportunities.
That day ended with satisfaction. Even though the processes are complicated, it was clearly explained by our instructor and I don't have the ask what is with it anymore.

An Intimidating Encounter
A tense situation lingers in the midst of the room. Students on different corners felt the sudden, irrational change of mood as a person, a bizarre one, made his entrance. The man stands with confidence, unfathomably introduces the strength of his framework, that man is one of the most outstanding personas the institution.
Scholars of the country, before, was that of a cheery mood. They enjoyed as if life is good, and is due to the peers they can't meet at home and were present at that moment. Laughters, chattery, and longing for social upbringing were fragrant in that hallway. But it ends there. Ten o'clock struck, classroom unlocked, faces were shocked, as it began.
"I will be your professor for this term " he said. Is there a reason why our heart rate increased? Yes, it has, and it is not love. Rather the uncanny personality this person has, the aura? expression? or the fact that I can't fathom whether he is mad about something or he is born with it? Ironically, the seniors of that course were sure that the man, the professor is undoubtedly intimidating.
He is a master of business technopreneurship and has developed ethics professionally in long period of time. On the first day, he established a decorum ultimately, the proper wearing of school uniform. A situation we didn't anticipate is to receive a sanction. I am wearing my favorite polo shirt, which is an example of improper decorum , yet agreed by the school as they place a memorandum about wearing civilian attires on the first week. Sir didn't like that, and initiated a punishment a mild one for some but a strong one for most, particularly introverts. Those students without proper attire were instructed to perform their talents in front of the class as if an entertainment for everyone. We were given 10 seconds to prepare, and somehow didn't cope up with it. We were expelled in the classroom. How cruel.
