Hey! It seems as though running a Tumblr blog is a trend now (though I would hardly consider it "blogging" for most of you lot), so I've hopped on the bandwagon.

I'm not much of a blogger myself, but I am in the practice of writing field reports - unfortunately. I am also a chronic workaholic. It'll take time to form any sort of habit. But to introduce myself...

I'm Detective Inspector Greg Lestrade. Christ...I'll be 58 in November. I have Masters level education and hold two certificates. I have two adult daughters, neither of which have any public social media presence. The elder is an accountant, the younger has just begun her career in special education, and I couldn't be more proud of them both!

Evidently, there is a feature to ask questions, so talk to me!

Did I tell you I need you?

Two bodies slammed against the wall which Greg had his back pressed against. They were both suited up in tactical gear, their faces masked. Each of them were equipped with weapons, and all three of them were preparedly at arms.

“You aren’t meant to be here, Detective Inspector,” the one spoke. It was a woman, and the voice was awfully familiar. The taller to his left lifted his mask. It was Mycroft, eyes sharp as daggers.

“What the bloody fuck are you doing here?!” Greg whispered at him.

“Cleaning up a mess I was unaware you made. I was proven hasty to blame one of your colleagues for my brother’s hospitalization.”

Greg shut his eyes and sighed. “It was an accident,” he attempted to explain.

“It was a botched operation,” Mycroft corrected. “Is that why you’re here? You’re going to get yourself killed,” Mycroft responded swiftly. He let out a slow breath. “Listen, I’ve got two of my men on the inside. They’re MI6, this is beyond your jurisdiction now. You need to tell your men to stand down and back out. That’s an order.”

Greg stared at Mycroft, heart plummeting to his stomach, heavy. “You’re not doing this…. Not you, you sit in an office, you pull the strings—“

“That’s our cue, sir,” the other woman spoke towards Mycroft.

Mycroft leaned in closer to the Detective. “Gregory, this isn’t an art deal, this is an arms deal. The painting is fake. We didn’t know it when your team went in last time, but…” He daren’t say too much. “There’s a reason we pulled CID out of the mission.”

“Sir,” she interrupted, “we need to move.”

Mycroft took Greg’s hand with his free one. “Did I tell you I need you? Please? Check on Sherlock, for me…”

Greg’s eyes shifted between Mycroft’s. “Shit…” There was nothing he could do about this. This was his fault. “Don’t kill yourself,” he said, emotionally laying down his arms and admitting defeat. He pressed a kiss to Mycroft’s lips, embracing what he could. Then he put down his mask for him. “I need you, too…”

“Sir,” she spoke up once again. “Let’s get moving.”

First attempt at the 360MG format. I ended up cutting damn near 100 words, which really enforced my application of skills learned from my college Flash Fiction class. — Also, I barely made it, but I did. It’s 11 PM EST as I write this note. Phew!
