My name is Adham, I'm 20 years old, and I'm from Gaza City. I dreamed of a happy life, completing my studies, and getting a job, but the war turned this dream into something impossible 💔😭. We lived through this massacre in all its painful details, and we're still in pain 😔. We were very happy when the ceasefire was announced, and we returned to our homes in northern Gaza after being displaced for a year and a half in a tent in the southern Gaza Strip. After we fixed a small room in our destroyed house to live in and start over, unfortunately the war returned stronger than before 💔. Now, we have no shelter and no source of income. We exhausted all our savings during the war. I know that I started my campaign very late, but that's because there is no other way to help my family 🙏. I am completely confident and optimistic that someone here will help us as much as they can and save my family in these difficult circumstances 😔.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know that the feeling of starting from scratch is painful and frustrating, but I hope to receive any amount for my family 🥺🙏.
Even a small donation would have a great impact on us 🥺. May God bless you, my friend 🥰❤️.

Quick explanation about Ukrainian protests that are happening from yesterday.
First of all: this is peaceful demonstrations against the shitty bill, not anti-war protest. More details are here.
Tumblr media
(transcribed:
"Quick key points on the protest in Ukraine so far:
- It targets a specific law, not the President;
- No calls to change the government;
- Russian influencers try to spin it as anti-government uprising;
- Claims it's anti-war protest to surrender are false"
End of transcript)
Volodymyr Zelenskyy alongside with 263 deputies signed the bill that destroys two important anti-corruption institutions. This said institutions are important because this is one of main terms of European integration of Ukraine — a track we were on since 2013. Back in 2013 former president victor yanukovich aborted process of entering EU, thus russian occupation of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions began, which transformed into full-scale russian invasion that is going on to this day. With decision of stripping this two institutions (NABU and SAP I don't know correct translations of this abbreviations unfortunately) Zelenskyy risks to lost pretty much everything we're standing for and fighting from 2014.
Ukrainians organised protests in less than three hours in Kyiv, Dnipro and Lviv (correct me if I'm wrong please). They did posters from cardboards and went outside even during the martial law. Some of my favourite posters from yesterday, photos are taken from various twitter accounts. People are protesting with their dogs, teens and youngsters are all around.

Today people are protesting also.

✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #621 )✅️
Today was unlike any other.
We received a few donations and with them, we had our first real meal in over a month. For the first time in so long, we didn’t go to sleep hungry. We cried, not from pain this time, but from overwhelming joy and gratitude.
To everyone who donated, shared, or simply kept us in their thoughts thank you. You didn’t just feed us. You reminded us that we’re not alone. You gave us back a piece of our dignity and hope.
But the struggle isn’t over. We’re still in need of food, support, and a little more light in these hard times.
Please, if you can, continue to help. Every share, every dollar, every act of kindness makes a real difference.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. And please, stay with us on this journey.

New Rule: If you want to mention the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising you have to say "The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (in which around 17-30 Germans were killed, all of them soldiers who had entered the Ghetto with orders to liquidate the civilian population)" at least once per mention. The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising is pretty much incomparable to any of the things it frequently gets compared to, which would be patently obvious if the people doing the comparing felt any obligation to know anything about it.

How can I help Ukraine more?
Dear Kyiv Independent readers,
Thank you for your continued support.
This is Brooke, the senior community manager here at the Kyiv Independent. We know that the news doesn’t look great — both within Ukraine and beyond — but we want you to know that it’s still possible to make a difference.
Recently, the Kyiv Independent community grew to over 20,000 members — and the most obvious way our members make a difference is through funding our journalism. Last year, 70% of our entire revenue came from our members and donors, which really underscores the impact that only $5 a month can have, as well as the power of collective action.
But, our community also supports us beyond that.
At beginning of June, when the team was on a mental health retreat in the Carpathians, we asked our members to send messages of support, for our team to read while they rested — and received an outpouring of emails to my inbox. We were overwhelmed both by the volume (I expected 5-10 letters, and we actually received 100) and the solidarity.
One email even made it to a story on our website — our community member wrote in to tell us that their neighborhood had just successfully changed one of its street names from the Russian spelling “Kiev” to the Ukrainian Kyiv. Especially because Russian propaganda tries to undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and emphasizes historical ties to justify imperialist policies, it’s important to use the correct spelling of Ukrainian names. And, it means a lot to us to know that people even as far away as Springfield, Oregon, know and care.
We’re proud to be backed by a community that wants to help. In fact, our most frequently asked question from our members has always been “What more can I do to help Ukraine?”
It’s thanks to this input that we not only published this short list of how to help Ukraine, but we also just launched a new membership benefit: an exclusive newsletter for our paying members that highlights organizations that are already working to help Ukraine. In each letter, we’ll be giving a close look at the organization’s efforts and the option to support via donations or, in some cases, volunteering.
It’s not too late — you can still exercise your agency. You can still support Ukraine, even if your government doesn’t want to. Every effort counts, from de-russifying your local street signs to reading independent news from Ukraine.
We want to thank you for keeping your attention on Ukraine, at a time when it matters most, and, if you haven’t yet, we invite you to become a member. You can join 20,000 people who have already chosen to support the Kyiv Independent and make a difference. For as little as $5 a month, you can help keep our reporting funded.
Thank you for your support. We wouldn’t be here without our readers.

Ukrainians are resilient and that's a fucking fact but I also skipped the chapter when the world accepted that it was okay for russians to rob sleep and lives from Ukrainians every single fucking night
Recently russians used like 500 ish drones
Yesterday it got up to 700 (fyi the "usual" number is in hundreds but it never was 500 targets yet; it's weird when russians send only 10 drones. Dozens are unusual)
Another mass attack on the whole country happening like LITERALLY RIGHT NOW
What's next
What's the limit to their murderous ambitions 🤩🤩🤩
You have no idea how many impact your 1 dollar can have on Ukrainian donations. You should be supporting Ukrainian soldiers too and not just hospitals and "other needs" because if you believe in fighting the aggressor "peaceful style" I don't think your priorities are in the right place
I'd strongly recommend you sharing this link: https://www.sternenkofund.org/en/donate
WHERE TO DONATE AND OTHER SOURCES POST LINK: HERE I love this post with my heart and soul it's very useful

Info-post
Okay, guys, i made this post because i'm honestly tired of the lack of information about Ukraine. The war isn't over and genocide of Ukrainians became normalized. Plus there are a lot of people who truly believe there's no more war because they rarely see any news! So here are a few sources you can share. Donations are optional LIVE MAPS: -Air Raid Alert Map (interactive map where you can see where air raid sirens are on, which cities are under attack, explosions etc) -DeepState map (also an interactive map with areas that were liberated or are currently occupied by russians; is updated every day) NEWS SOURCES: -GRUNT MEDIA (tweet in Ukrainian, but if you use twitter, you can always click a translation button) -United 24 Media (tweet in English!). Their official website is -> HERE -Bring Kids UA. They help locate and bring home children who were kidnapped by russians. Their official website -> HERE; their twitter -> HERE; useful links (including a petition) are HERE -Save Ukraine. Its a registered charitable organization established in 2014 that coordinates dozens of organizations, volunteers, individuals and legal entities to help those affected by war, with a special emphasis on children. Their websire -> HERE; their twitter -> HERE -TV Toronto -Kyiv Independent + their twitter -Ostap Yarysh. Covers US-Ukraine relations, tweets in ENG. His twitter -> HERE -Ukraine World. Multilingual media about Ukraine. Their website -> HERE. Their twitter -> HERE -Zarina Zabrisky. US journalist who reports from Ukraine. Tweets a lot about Kherson city, a city in the south of Ukraine that get shelled and attacked by russian drones DAILY. Recently released a film called "Human Safari" that shows you reality of the town. You can watch her film -> HERE. Her twitter is -> HERE Charities/volunteers who help AFU: -COME BACK ALIVE (a non-governmental organisation that helps strengthen Ukraine’s security and defence sector. Has been operational since 2014, when the war has started!) This organization is VERY TRANSPARENT! Their website is -> HERE. Their twitter -> HERE -Serhiy Prytula charity foundation. He also helps Armed Forces of Ukraine with trucks, drones etc. -Sternenko Foundation. Serhii Sternenko is a famous Ukrainian volunteer. He helps UA soldiers with FPV drones. Drones have been crucial weapons/helping tools in this war. They are useful not only for observing, repelling the attacks of the enemies, but also bringing food/water/medicine to wounded soldiers. His twitter -> HERE -Leleka Foundation. Medicine, tactical medicine! Lots of lives on the battlefiled are saved with the help of proper tourniquetes and equipment. This org provides it. Their twitter -> HERE -Wild Hornets. Drones-drones-drones. They make drones that are crucial for this war. Their twitter -> HERE -Project Konstantin. They deliver aid, vehicles, communications tools, and tactical equipment. Their twitter -> HERE -NAFO 69th Sniffling Brigade. They bring trucks for Ukrainian defenders. Those who read the news at least a little bit, are aware how important 4x4 trucks are. Especially for evacuation. Their twitter -> HERE -World Central Kitchen. International organization who provides meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. They work with locals and really there for those who are affected. A soon as territories in Ukraine were liberated, they were there to help. Unlike OSCE, the UN, Red Cross etc, WCK truly help people. They keep working in Ukraine despite the shelling. By the way, they work all over the world and helped people in Gaza too! Their twitter -> HERE THANK YOU to everyone who shares this! Please amplify Ukrainian voices, talk about Ukraine, support those who were affected by war... unfortunately it's closer than you think.
