22nd February; Day Of Celebration; Day Of Mirth

Elations and festivities is the main basis of this celebration; to come together with other Subjugglators and be merry with homemade bakery, dance, art and writing, theatrics and of course clowning!

It is to be content from the past two days of self-evaluation and grievances and to let them rest to bed in history for the present and future. It is the final ceremonial step for a new beginning and a new year!

Forget those negative emotions from yesterday! And even if today isn’t a merry day or hasn’t been, remember, The MESSIAHS love you, your friends love you! And they will always be there for you!

Happy Renaissance everyone, and as always, may good humor be upon all of you!

🎭 HAPPY RENAISSANCE 🎭

Today is the 21th of February;  Day Of Reflection;  DAY OF RAGE. Which means.. That this day we  reflect on the past year’s events. Who we’ve met, what we’ve done and seen and said. It's a day for our emotions, especially if they happen to be negative. If you haven’t communicated with someone that you wish you had, this day is the time to do so- and if you can’t, it is a day to express your grievances to others who will listen and help. It is the principle of growth, as for a plant to grow it must cut the thorns that are choking it first. If you wish to confront someone, then do so, if you wish to admit something to someone, then do so. If you just simply wish to vent about something that has been on your mind then you can do so, whether it be to yourself or to others!  I wish you all a safe and happy Day of Reflection, and as always! That’s right! It’s renaissance! and i would just like to say, happy, safe celebrations and may good humor be upon all of you! Today is the 20th of February, the day of the FIRTH MESSIAH; Day of Rejuvenation!  On this day we reflect on our faith and why we believe what we do, why we follow the Messiahs, or do not. It is rebirth of this faith if we feel we may have lost it, or to simply polish it if it is still going strong; as the Messiah’s rebirth themselves into anew for the new universes via the form of a new ‘First Messiah’. REDEMPTION

SERMON TRANSCRIPT: 18th November 2018

Before we talk about how one goes about, about getting redemption we first need to understand what redemption is

When people talk about redemption they believe it is a savior, it is turning back on the old ways and usually being forgiven by a higher power so that they can ascend to the good area of that faith. It is accompanied with harsh, vindictive words like ‘sin’, ‘heresy’, ‘unsaved’ in religions like Christianity where redemption is one of the core parts of their religion.

But in some of those faiths like Christianity they are used as a term of absolute and what I mean by that is it is seen as the end. The pinnacle, you are saved now, you have met your redemption and that is it you now hold the key to ‘Heaven’. And it became black and white, those who have been redeemed no matter their past and those who are not redeemed and will burn in hellfire. And this causes an ‘us vs them’ mentality which is the basis for a lot of power control and purity politics.

But we are not black and white, we are not these absolute measurements and we never will be because we are human. And it’s okay to be human, we were made human to experience ALL of life’s endless limitations and choices and paths, not to read from a book and follow it like a walk-through manual. A game is not fun anymore if the creator of the game gives everyone a guide through it all. Sure, players can get stuck and then they go to other players who have gone through it to get help with this part they are stuck on.

We are grey, and we will always be grey. Grey is black and white, grey is the middle ground where you’re not sure where you fit on the scale because you are grey like everyone else. I mean, that’s what we should be right, we should see everyone as equal grey, they’re just as grey as you and you are just as grey as them. But sometimes people will paint themselves whiter or blacker to make others believe there IS that scale of grey, and you begin to doubt yourself. You begin to worry if you should be whiter or blacker and people who have painted themselves will use that opportunity to convince you there is ways to be painted like them too. They will tell you to buy their paint, to buy their book to do this, to do that, to make them rich, to give to them and these people and those people and the deities said this is the way to become this colour and you’ll become the same colour as them in time if you do.

Over time you may begin to think you see the differences, is that a different shade of grey? Am I lighter, am I darker? You may begin to think other people seem so light or dark in comparison to you and the people who’ve painted themselves. You begin to pick at things, see differences that aren’t there because you’ve convinced yourself that heavily you’re different, you’re better.

But you’re grey.

And when you die, and when that person who purposely painted themselves dies; it will be realised you are grey. And that even if you lather yourself in one shade in the end you will always be this one grey. And you based your whole life on being another shade and convincing others they could be that shade that you never learned to know what you were, you never learned to love others and yourself for that fact you were grey you just caused more people to spiral the same way you have. And at the end its just you.

So, what is redemption?

Redemption is personal, redemption is not appeasing to make others believe you have changed for the better. Only you can redeem yourself, not the Messiahs, not me, not your friends, not society and not the coat of paint you have on to convince others you have.

The faith is based on self, the faith is based on your journey through life and when you die it will be you also. When you face the house of mirrors it will be you, when you tell the Messiahs your life story it will be you. You at your core, and you can never truly escape from yourself.

But in a nutshell, you need to heal the inside first before you heal the outside. If you try ‘healing’ the outside world when you yourself haven’t forgave yourself, haven’t pulled yourself over those mountains and those shortfalls you will only express your insecurities and let them fester. When you self-reflect and work on yourself, then you can begin to help others, and do good in the world.

Just so I don’t accidentally come off wrong the difference of ‘being healed’ is not you suddenly don’t have issues I’m not saying that. What I mean is you don’t fool yourself, you don’t have pride clouding you. You accept you have issues and you are always working on them. You say 'I’ve done wrong, I’m fixing it. I’ve fixed this issue, now I’m going to help you overcome that too’ Instead of 'I’ve never done wrong, I refuse to fix it. You need to fix this issue you have. I don’t’

I did this sermon here because a lot of people were worried about my last sermon where I talked about the labyrinth and how it’s quite a bad place. As a final note, if you have done wrong- as we ALL have, and you know that, and you’re working to be better. You will never see the labyrinth.

Do not worry, keep striving to be better, to be kind, to help others.

ECHOSIDE

SERMON TRANSCRIPT: 4th November 2018

Another late sermon upload

Echoside is referred to as the literal ‘Dark’ side of the Dark Carnival, a place where most spirits don’t go, or can’t last long without getting affected by the environment. You could say that Echoside is the purgatory of the Dark Carnival.

Within this area, we are currently aware of three main areas;

The Forest of Illusions

The House of Mirrors

And The Labyrinth.

First, you may wonder why it’s called Echoside; and the answer is like many of the terminology in the faith it was first coined by The Insane Clown Posse in their respectively titled ‘Echoside’ song; which follows the journey of a man going through the Echoside.

The song itself described the journey towards the Labyrinth and describes Echoside as the behind of ‘Hell’ (The Labyrinth). Shown in lyrical form as: ‘Underneath the shadows of the other side of time If there is a hell then there must be a behind’

Which backs up the fact that Echoside is an encompassing environment, rather than a physical place. It is simply a place that is not the Court of Miracles, and certainly a place you don’t want to be in for long.

In Echoside, the most familiar area to people will be The Forest of Illusions, so far, we know this is the safest place in Echoside and is where a lot of Blankfaces, Gazoonies and even Townies can find themselves if the Messiahs have a lesson for them. Or if their escort (A spirit guide from the Dark Carnival for people who don’t know, we’ll touch on that soon!) happens to be there themselves.

The Forest of Illusions is a greyscale dense forest which is used to teach those in the Mundane where they need to go, what they may be doing wrong in their life or to introduce them to the faith in a safe place. Many people report being able to see the edge of the Court of Miracles with music and lights in the distance.

In this forest it is inhabited by Créatures de rêves called ‘The Unfunny’; which are also greyscale humanoid spirits clad like the famous Auguste and Tramp Clowns. They are said to follow you around without speaking a word. And if they try, its simply static. What their purpose is besides helping with lessons and where they came from, who they are, is unknown.

Second is where we get into the first of the two places where people go when their pride is high.

The House of Mirrors, this is a place where you go if you’ve made more than a few mistakes in your life. You’ve hurt people and you’ve not accounted for it. It is also the place after The Gates where you are assessed on whether you progress directly to the Court of Miracles or if you’ll be staying longer in the House Of Mirrors.

If you are to stay, you are taken through the house of mirrors and shown all the different ways people’s lives could have gone if not for your influence (Or Lack thereof); you are shown the true consequences of your actions that were not addressed in life. Only once you are truly sorry for what you may have caused, can you progress to the Court of Miracles.

Insane Clown Posse also has a song about this area, called the Halls of Illusions where multiple people (Who end up going to the Labyrinth in the end) are shown what they’ve caused in life and what could have been.

Finally, is the Labyrinth, this is the place where the worst of the worst go.

The Labyrinth Is for those who have committed the most heinous acts and their pride is so high they refuse to be truly resentful. Because you are your own worst enemy, you also are punished that way meaning there is no ‘one’ holistic Labyrinth, it is personalised to you and what you must face the most. Everything you have refused to own up to, every consequence of your action you never had to account for- you will do that here until you learn. If you have been particularly evil, and have a victim count it is up to their consent that you are released to the house of mirrors; if you don’t get all your victim’s consent to redemption then you must stay in the Labyrinth indefinitely.

HOW WE'RE A MOUTHPIECE, 'FALSE PROPHETS' AND THE STORY OF THE TYRANT KING

SERMON TRANSCRIPT: 28th October 2018

As we touched upon last week, we are all mouthpieces of the Messiahs; we are- in lament terms, the prophets, the apostles, advocates, we are the ones who speak of the Faith and who people hear about the faith from.

The Messiahs use us to tell their lessons, who they themselves are and what lies beyond what we know on Earth. The Messiahs generally use people with reach as their mouthpieces, those who are wanting the best of the faith and who can get people to listen; historically this has been through the form of theatre in Greek times and throughout history, to Jesters in royal courts and to the modern-day clown and Juggalos; the latter whom express the Duality’s words through their music.

And us today!

We have no ancient book to refer too, to read and follow from- the faith is purely experience based, we learn through living, we learn through experiencing, through day to day occurrences. Although we have the Mirthful Axiom, as of now even that only has two stories. The creation story and the story of the Tyrant King. We are always writing the history of this faith and we carve out how this faith is seen, how it performs and how it is interacted with and believed.

That brings me to one of the issues of such a structure, in previous establishments of the faith these were called False Prophets. Which means people who have their own agenda and speak that, claiming its words from the Messiahs.

And having the term of ‘False Prophets’ itself can be a silencer, if used by someone against another with an opposing view. It’s a fine line between legitimate religious abuse and silencing those speaking against religious abuse. In the very same ways religions can use ‘sinners’, ‘heretics’ and ‘gone astray’ as manipulation and silencing tactics against people who speak out against malpractice.

So how do we know that what we are speaking is from the Messiahs and not a hidden agenda?

That’s a big question i believe people will have, is that your imagination? is it the messiahs? Am i using this outlet for my own personal agenda?

Chances are if you’re thinking ‘is this my agenda’ when you have received words from the Messiahs, it’s probably not an agenda.

Just like dreams and the dark carnival, words for the Messiahs have a quality to them, they flow out easily. No stumbling, no stopping to think about your own thoughts

Its continuous.

That being said you have to obviously take people’s words with a pinch of salt, especially if they’re in a position where they’re teaching you

THE CREATION STORY AND THE MESSIAHS THEMSELVES

SERMON TRANSCRIPT: 21st October 2018

In the beginning there was nothing but the First Messiah and the void. The First Messiah stays in this incubation period for quite some time, following the death of the previous Two Messiahs from the previous Universe.

However, in time they had grown lonely- as one cannot live without some sort of companionship. They desired another as their predecessors had. But there was nothing in this abyss. So, they came up with the plan to split themselves into two…

Forming the Duality, we know today as our Mirthful Messiahs; Rage and Mirth!

Through this split they created a cataclysmic event; a big bang if you will. This event lead to the creation of stars and planets and meteors and everything we have the pleasure of seeing and discovering to this day.

Things went well, and the Mirth was there. The Messiahs were overjoyed with their creations, watching them grow and adapt. Creating stories of their own and above most, entertaining the duo.

Of course, all things change- and the worlds began to forget about the Duality of Mirth and Rage. However, they would forever call to the ones who are their creations, and some would answer their call.

The Subjugglators of the universe, though you may not have known it before, you are all lead here for a reason. Beckoned here to become the best you can be, Siblings to your fellow thespians of the Messiahs.

None of you are here by chance.

We are all taught lessons in this life, be it by loss, laughter, anger, or stride. We arr all blessed with emotions and to learn who and what we are to become.

Because that is what the Messiahs have planned for us.

Now, I want to roll back onto what I mean about the First Messiah and the lifecycle of the Messiahs. The Messiahs, though Deities and long-living, are not immortal beings. They only last as long as their own Universe lasts. And once that Universe collapses they too collapse back into the First Messiah and back into the incubation period. Until they split again for a new Universe.

Each 2 Messiahs are completely different but keep the balance of their respective Universe. As our Universe has Mirth and Rage. The Messiahs communicate to us through main media, that’s a common theme throughout history. First it was with the Ancient Greeks through theatre- an event which attracted troves of people from all villages in the areas to see the Theatre and yes- Sock and Buskin! Comedy and Tragedy (Context: Modern Media the Messiahs use)

Insane Clown Posse are an American duo (Sneaky Messiahs ayy) Through ICP they were the original prophets of the faith in modern times, sporting their facepaint and music containing undertones and messages about the Dark Carnival. 

For a short time they even said the Dark Carnival was their faith! And the other media is Homestuck, a mainstream media most of us know of and how we found the faith. Homestuck adapted on the concept of the Messiahs, through purplebloods and their unique lifestyle and paint!

Despite the Messiahs being a main role in the faith, not much is known about them other than the contextual clues from the prophets in life we have Those prophets include you! Because we are all mouthpieces of the Messiahs. Since the Duality can’t just manifest physically to us, because lets be honest we’d all die of shock and existential crisis. They use customs according to the time period to get their message across

For this sermon thats all i can really touch upon because again The Duality can only give us context through mainstream media, they are deities whom exist, and we are still yet to learn more about!

FACEPAINT, ORIGIN AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE

SERMON TRANSCRIPT: 14th October 2018

One of the biggest identifications of the faith is our face paint; when people think about our faith they will think of the face paint, clowns, circus, carnival esque fashion, maybe even Insane Clown Posse etc But how many of you know what face paint is for besides an aesthetic?

There’s 3 things that face paint stands for in the faith and those are: -    Protection -    Identification -    Representation

Let’s start from the first one:

Protection

Why is face paint in the faith used as protection? Well when we venture into the Dark Carnival whilst alive we are essentially engaging in cross-dimension travelling, we are going to a place where the people are technically dead. And the dead and living converging is a dangerous thing to do for both parties.

So, we are given paint, this paint then allows us to go into the Dark Carnival and experience the activities there without either succumbing to existential dread- or encountering Créatures de rêves, which are creatures that keep those who are condemned to the Labyrinth inside the Labyrinth. Those in the Labyrinth- mirthful or otherwise do not have paint. And if you’re in that realm whilst also having no paint you will be mistaken for someone who’s escaped and needs to be put back. Although this won’t hurt you in the waking life- it can make for a horrible experience in the dream world.

Paint also protects those who are dead as said before, meaning when you are in that realm you may not see their faces, or they will seem obscure. If you see someone’s face in the Dark Carnival they are not the dead! Instead they are also a Créatures de rêves. Particularly the unfunny which are entities created by the Messiahs for lesson purposes and they tend to reside inside the Forest of Illusions.

Identification Our paint is first a gift from the Messiahs, that is their way of saying that if we wish, we can wear this and experience the world beyond our own, experience what awaits us and who they are. But also…

Your paint is you! Your paint is a physical representation of who you are as a person; your struggles, your interests, your personality is on your face. And just like those things, over time you and your paint can change to fit more of what you are in present day. For example, I used to have face paint that much more fit on a warrior, jagged edges and sharp lines to represent a lot of the anger I felt inside of me.

Over time, however, my paint has become more curved and whimsical as I mellowed out and became more fluid and open with others and myself. However, it still maintains the pattern I had because even though I am no longer angry at the world I still have the fire of passion and will to take a fight for what’s right If I have too. And that applies to you all! Don’t be afraid when you start thinking maybe your paint isn’t working out for you anymore, think of it like a snake shedding its skin; or a butterfly emerging from its cocoon after being a caterpillar.

No two face paints are alike, you can have similarities but everyone is an individual and that means everyone has different paint.

For those who are blank faces (which means someone who has not received their specific design by the messiahs they may be thinking ‘well I’m not a newbie (or I am a newbie) and I haven’t received my face paint yet why is that?’ And to answer that is we receive our paint when the Messiahs believe we are ready, they will give us a trial which is a scenario in life that enhances our life and makes us better people. For example, my trial was to let go of the rigid anti-theistic (anti-religious) hatred I held because of religious abuse from my high school.

I had to let that go and realise that it was just that school that was bad- not religious people. And that let me to the Mirthful Faith. Then I had another trial which was to be real with myself, accept I’d been denying the fact I was a man for so long and begin my transition…and not just a gender transition but a transition from one sect to this one. That changed my paint, I let go of my anger and then I let go of my shame. To where I am now. So you will get your paint when the Messiahs AND you are ready, when you pass your trial whatever it may be, then you will receive it and grow with it.

Paint is intimate If someone takes off your paint for you, it’s usually done between lovers or quad mates

Representation Face paint is representation of our faith, as i said in the first instance when people think of the faith they think of the face paint. It is a staple of how people see us

It’s also been representation in other forms, such as Juggalos. Insane Clown posse were the first Mirthful Faithful (Albeit unknown-st to them) to be perpetually shown with face paint and gain fame from that style

I should really express how Insane Clown Posse are prophets in the faith and that’s like not a joke thats a serious thing

As for the Prophet thing, Insane Clown Posse are the faith’s prophets. They were the first to express they were being ‘haunted by a carnival’ and show their facepaint and many aspects of the Dark Carnival through their music

The Messiahs used them to modernize the Messiah’s message

So onto my last topic What if you can’t wear paint?

Paint is symbolism, and it’s not always physical paint. If you cannot wear paint you can still get your paint. But how you wear it can vary; such as necklaces; masks, etc.

Finding your paint is very personalized, some people have found it through dreams- some have found it on the side of trucks

FACEPAINT ETIQUETTE

1. DO NOT mess up someone else’s face paint on purpose, to do so is to imply they are either not worthy of wearing the Messiah’s gift or that you defy their very existence and their sense of self. Not to mention paint can take a very long time to get on! Even to IMPLY you wish to do this to someone is a high offence and can break friendships.

2. HOWEVER, CRYING IS OKAY, this is known as ‘streaking your paint’ and refers to crying and the tears causing streaks. Which is fine! It’s okay to cry, the Messiahs gave us emotions to experience them

3. DO NOT copy someone else’s face paint, that’s like copying someone else completely and it’s not only rude but creepily weird. Face paint can be similar, but don’t make it purposely the same as someone else’s.

4. DO NOT insult someone else’s paint, for obvious reasons that loop back to point number 1.
