Wattpad Advice?

So, I'm thinking about uploading on wattpad once I start writing my book, but I've never used it before, so if anyone does use wattpad I'd appreciate any tips/tricks or just anything I might need to know about how the website works please 🙏🫶

Day 2 of Planning My Summer Romance Book 🏖️🩵

I spent a lot of yesterday doing writing sprints with a couple of lovely Christian friends on discord in a server I made and we all got so much done, I'm incredibly proud of us! I managed to finish the three act structure, and this morning I moved onto planning the first chapter!

So, now we have the first chapter planned, and later on today I'll start planning chapter two! I'm loving how much motivation this little group has had over the past couple of days! 🩵

I have about half an hour until my online church service starts, but I'm excited to do some more planning later on! 🏖️

Day 1 of planning my cosy summer romance! 🩵🩴

So... it's been a while, hi! I hit some bad writer's block and then had lots of exams and essays to focus on at university, and ended up not having either the motivation or the time to write for quite a while.

So, I'm back with a cosy summer romance book (more details to come soon) that's fresh, exciting, and tells a story about childhood friendships being reunited and a character returning to a place that feels like home, based on my absolute favourite place in the world where I always used to go on holiday as a child 🩵

I'm really excited to be back on this account and writing again!

I'm seeing the same people over and over on my dash so that naturally means I need to follow some new people to spice things up.

If you're a writeblr who writes original fiction about:

Day 6 of writing The Forgotten Gods 🔮 🌿

I've officially finished chapter 2! 🙌 The total word count now is 4065, and I'm insanely happy! Chapter 2 ended up being a lot longer than chapter 1, but that's okay! Ooh I'm so excited for where things are heading in the next couple chapters!

Every word I write gets me closer to being able to write my favourite scene that I have planned 😍

Day 5 of writing The Forgotten Gods 🔮 🌿

Still working on chapter two, but I'm back with my coffee and my candles and it feels so good to be working on TFG again! Oh how I've missed these wonderful characters 🫶

Got up this morning bright and early, did some yoga, tidied my desk, and now I'm sitting down to write! I'm not sure how my boyfriend felt about the 5am alarms coming back, but it's so worth it!

OC in three!

I did a similar thing for Aoife and Rónan before I properly introduced them, so here's a few pictures that represent my FMC in the Roses WIP 🥀 (intro coming soon™️ ! )

This FMC is a scientist at heart, she believes wholy in things she can see and prove with the help of science. So the rumors about her town have never bothered her, stories of monsters hiding in the walls, stealing people in the night and sucking their souls, not until she has to face the truth head on.

But with her friends by her side, she can take on anything! A naturally shy, reserved character, but around her closest friends, she's the light that keeps them all going, the glue that holds their group together.

I've still yet to find a better face claim than this pic-crew I made, but I'll try and find some tomorrow while I get the WIP intro sorted!

My eyes absolutely are not that blue irl, but you work with what you've got! I imagine her to be some kind of poet that works in a local tavern perhaps 🍺

And then I got carried away and tried to just visualise my two FMCs! Also here's a small bit of a reveal for the Roses WIP coming up!

But first, here's our beloved Aoife:

There wasn't a hairstyle curly enough for her so I went with ✨️volume✨️ instead! I imagine Aoife to wear a lot of Emerald green, or earthy natural tones!

Time for a little reveal, here's the FMC for the Roses WIP!

I cannot tell you all how much I ADORE this!!!! It's spot on to how I imagine her! I can't wait to tell you more about her, and the others, soon!!

I thought it was about time that I did one of these... so hi! I'm Caitlin,

I'm 22 years old, my pronouns are she/they, I'm bisexual and I've been with my lovely boyfriend for 7 years!

I'm also a student, I'd been out of education for a while, but I made the decision to get back into education and started university last September!

I've always adored writing, and it was one of the first things I remember being passionate about, ever since we wrote our first story in primary school! (Mine was about a snail who was wandering the ocean on a mission to find his friends)

I love to write anything fantasy, and I've always liked writing poetry, and delving into writing horror for the first time!

My current WIPS:

I read a lot of fantasy books, but also a lot of horror and crime/thrillers (I am a criminology student after all!) and I absolutely love anything by Edgar Allan Poe!

I also love cosy gaming, especially animal crossing, the sims, minecraft and also driving games like euro truck sim 2 and bus sim 18

Day 2 of working on the Roses Wip 🥀🩸

I'm re-planning the structure of the plot today as I realised there's a better way to plan this that's more horror oriented rather than genfic/fantasy oriented, and I think it'll all fit together a lot better this way! My plan for the rest of the day is to relax and make some Pinterest boards once I've done this!

I got good news about my exam results this morning after a meeting with my tutor. Apparently I got some of the highest grades in the class! So now I can worry less about my exam results it's a chill day ahead!

I've had the idea for a psychological horror novel, so my plans for the day are to brainstorm and see whether the idea I have will make a good plot or not!

Don't worry, I'm not giving up on The Forgotten Gods! I've always been interested in horror books, but I've never tried to write one before. However, I'm very excited about the Roses WIP, so I hope it works out!

Rónan

Rónan is the heir to The Ancient Ones, his father Cìocal ( kee • oh • cull ) leads a gritty and vicious people in their lands. The Ancient Ones are cruel and are willing to cheat, fight, and kill to get what they want.

So Rónan finds his own solace in his lighthouse. Settled on the shore of The Emerald Isle, Rónan has kept himself out of the limelight, until he hears word of a new arrival. A young girl who bears the one power that can bring his father down.

With the help of his brother, Ultán ( ul • tan ), Rónan plans to help the girl survive, especially when he meets her and realises she's the most beautiful girl he's ever met.

Can he find a way to save the girl he quickly falls for without risking his father finding ojf and costing both of their lives and the lives of those at risk with the brewing war?
