Pacing back and forth, she turned using the heel of the worn out sole.  Her gaze was glued towards the windows, watching the mindless movement outside. She paused, her gaze flickering towards him. 

Confusion was clear on her face, remaining still in one spot.

 "What's not enough?"

Partnership didn’t seem entirely evident in the male. Of course, Claire hesitated for a moment. Not all survivors were trustworthy. Destruction had begun to rule, almost every corner of their country crawling with something infected due to a viral attack to begin an all out war.

She gave it a whirl - knowing whatever was coming  was far too much for her to take on her own. 

Perhaps the two could somehow evade it together.  Her voice was quiet, but it did not shake, it didn’t hold the tone of someone who saw this damage for the first time. She definitely knew what she was doing. “What do you say we kill whatever that thing is?”

A sigh fell from her lips, her lips pinching tightly. Of course she knew it was a bad idea - a real bad idea.

 "Don't think we have the time to think up anything better... if you've got ideas, I'm listening."
