• nathan chen redeeming himself with a new record for quads and moving from 17th to 5th place • mirai making that one triple axel • every word from adam rippon’s beautiful face • yuzuru hanyu fulfilling the Hype and making history after being injured three months ago (and javier taking the bronze) • the germans winning pairs by a half a point and showing more raw emotion than i’ve ever seen • virtue and moir doing That (again) • the ice dance short program theme being “latin” producing at least three (3) skates to various covers of “despacito” • the german dance team skating to the score of “pride and prejudice” (2005) and making me cry • evgenia medvedeva skating with her soul without a single error (My Gold Medalist™️) • every korean skater receiving so much love from their country

• that guy who did a game of thrones free skate in a party city jamie lannister costume • two coaches who repeatedly stood at an angle where they appeared to be siamese twins, coining the term “shoulda boy” between me and my friend • someone choosing one direction’s underrated classic “c’mon c’mon” as the intro song for every single group in every single event in the year 2018 • as well as literally every other song played (i.e. avril lavigne’s “keep holding on” and the cranberries) • the surrealist landscape that was a canadian man skating to a haunting charlie chaplin medley while a blond tommy wiseau watched on • the incredible south korean hype-woman during intermissions
