honestly, since the boycott started, and I’ve been avoiding YouTube, I genuinely think I’ve been feeling better. I’m actually rewatching shows I wanted to re-binge, for one!

I’ve also been trying to inform my friends about the problems with the YouTube update, and now that a few of them who weren’t are feeling the effects, they’re starting to understand why I decided to join the boycott.

these posts have been a nice reminder to how long I’ve been YouTube-free for too!

Stress dream anon here, and yeah I'll admit, I am missing a few things from youtube. I mostly listen to utau covers of some of my favorite songs and I don't know how to use niconico, so I'm going through a bit of withdrawal there. But I also really miss watching my favorite Let's Play gaming channel, and abridged channels.

But I'll be fine. I will wait it out until the boycott is over.

Hi Clippy, I've had my 3rd stress dream about using youtube, and it was so bad when I woke up, I checked the screen time stats on my phone to make sure it wasn't real.

Hello Anon! So, you don't want to roleplay with anyone, but you said you use the platform for roleplaying your OC's. Why not try writing your own fanfiction with your OC's? It may be difficult, and you may be worried that it's not good. But it's for you! And you don't have to be good in order to enjoy something.

Once again, there are many other things to enjoy other than C.AI and YouTube. Going outside, reading a book, or playing a video game (including emulation). You will find something else to do soon, I promise.

Cutting cold turkey works for some, but not others. Try quitting slowly. Restricting your time on the platform. There's also the Character AI Recovery Clinic (Not actual Doctors) if you haven't joined that community yet.
