ARC: Oasis

Title: Three Days After (at the first campsite)

The First Campsite was not very comfortable, but its all they could find.

The three managed to find a butte a ways out, they haven't rested in three days. There wasn't time to look back. The city is gone.

Two Wranglewood trees marked it. A lonely grove, for these parts.

Scarecrow tied his hammock between them and planted himself in front of one of the trees.

"Hey Hoss, looks like you can see the whole city up here.

At least what's left of it..."

The short one had just made it up the hill, huffing. Somehow, even though Scarecrow's bag was much bigger and carried more things, Himmel always carried a heavier load. After catching his breath, he responded:

"It's Himmel. You know dhat. And what makes you think I wann'ed to see it again? We arn' goin' back."

"Just thought you might want to reminisce, is all, I suppose."

"You s'posed wrong. We are being hunted, Scarecrow. I don't haff the luxury to 'reminisce' right now. We need to go to my guy in Oasis before he changes his mind."

"Well, how much longer should our wandering take?"

"Pry five or six more days, if we're fast."

Around this time, the third one creeps up the hill. He is the slowest of the group, but the other two like him enough to keep him around.

Scarecrow shot up out of his seated position to greet their friend

"Shellton! Hi buddy, are you hungry?"

"greh"

Scarecrow grabbed a can from his rucksack, and cracked it open. He produced a multi-utensil from his overalls and flipped out the spoon, and began feeding the giant snail.

"Here you go, buddy, Splork, your favorite!"

Shellton's mustache and mouth stalks wiggled with delight, and he ate the entire can in under a minute.

"Sorry I can't give you any more pal, but once we get to Oasis, I'll give you as much Splork as you can eat."

Shellton went to lay by Scarecrow's hammock, defeated.

By this time, Himmel had set his bedroll up, and had started creating a fire with what little there was around them.

"Hey... I'm sorry for bein' an ass just then... You don' deserve that."

"I'm not worried about it, there's a lot going on. What was with that 'Ressentiment' guy, he reminded me a lot of-"

Himmel cut him off, almost belligerently.

"I don't want to talk about that, man. We need to focus on what's ahead"

Scarecrow noticed the sensitivity from Himmel, and decided to respond.

"What he did wasn't your fault, Himmel."

Himmel did not respond, and began to cut shavings from his firestarter to try to light the small pile in front of him.

A moment of silence passed, and Himmel's shoulders dropped. He clenched his hands and punched the ground repeatedly, letting out a frustrated yell.

"WHAT THE HELL EVEN IS THE POINT OF THIS AUUGGGHHHHHHHHHHH I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS SHIT!"

another moment of silence passes

...

"I'm gonna make a hot box so's I don't have to build fires."

His chin quivered slightly, and his lips hardened, showing a visible frown.

"That sounds really cool. I'm excited to see what you make, man"

Scarecrow smiled.

Himmel did too. He was loved.

It won't last.

I had a lot of fun writing this, I don't thing the next one will be a continuation of this story but I do plan on continuing it. I want to explore stories from a few arcs before I start doing sequel chapters.

SPRAWL UPDATE

For a very long time now, I have been waiting to put anything substantial of SPRAWL out into the public.

I am going to start posting disordered stories that take place in SPRAWL, and I will be giving character designs and descriptions for each major character introduced.

These stories will not have a schedule, but they will have a structure:

-Songs to listen to: Songs that either inspired this story or songs I feel go well with the story

-Arc: Which SPRAWL arc the story takes place in (I will not be giving time information so you will have to surmise through character designs and which characters appear.)

-Title (if not title, name of location): Just as it seems. The title will be there for later use. I have a project in mind for this whole thing.

-The body of the story

-Any notes I might have

And that is pretty much the update. Prepare to see some more sprawl stuff in the future, be it disordered.

Awesome Minecraft seed (BEDROCK)

like the title says, AMAZING seed. Been doing a survival playthrough on this world for a little bit (its on current version), its been really fun. My spawn was in a mangrove biome, and there are like, 6 villages within a 1000 block radius from 0,0 (there's maybe 4 that are within a couple hundred blocks of each other), a zombie spawner straight up in the center of a village (above ground, like directly in the middle of town), a stronghold (with portal) in that same village, ancient city like 2.5k blocks from spawn, HUGE Pale Garden areas a decent bit away (like 5k blocks)

GUYS-

I just got nominated for an award at my school for my art in a class I was in a couple of months ago.

This is really big for me. I got into art to be able to inspire people in a similar way to how I was inspired as a kid to make stuff all the way into today. Being able to be one step closer to my goal is so, so beautiful to me.

It's not super far yet, but it's somewhere. And that is more than enough for me.

Life is scary and so is the world, but I have hope.

With hope, determination, ingenuity and persistence all goals can be accomplished.
