Nine years ago, three things changed. Monsters of unknown origin that were nicknamed “Wesen” (“essence, being, creature”) began appearing through-out Europe. One after another some women began manifesting superhuman powers, and M.A.G.I.E., an organization whose purpose was to both track, hide and assist those women, was founded. Those “magical girls” are the only people who can destroy the Wesen, and Cloudy Wondrous has just recently become one of them.

So ya got some readin' to do#Pay no attention to the fact that I changed the boob window to a heart shape while drawing the cover and forgot it for the rest of the chap#Always add the design changes into the reference sheet you actually use kids do not just assume you'll remember what you changed#(I think I prefer the diamond anyway though so it's fine)

Chapter 12 was an unusually short one so I did this bonus “what if switchies” page for it and, what can I say, this was really fun

Sometimes you see a fun and cool OC meme and the next thing you know you accidentally joined in on it
Okay so I actually have like, backstory for “Cloudy Thundrous”… She’s been like an inside joke for myself and she’s not really meant to be a real thing in Cloudy, let alone an evil/corrupted thing (so fear not, I have not spoiled my own webcomic for you lmao)
Sometimes I like to come up with silly ideas for Cloudy, and one that has been floating around my mind has been “what if there was a tournament arc in Cloudy Wondrous where M.A.G.I.E. sets up a tournament and gets a bunch of magical girls to fight each other for entertainment”. It’s a dumb ass idea, I kinda love it but also because it’d serve no purpose to the story, I wouldn’t have the patience to actually do it. But it’s a funny idea!! Also sometimes I kinda just want to make a totally absurd, joke, full chapter to drop on April First, with some “wild plot twists” and then end it when “April Fools!” and go back to whatever the hell was going on before. Like just to be a dick. FORTUNATELY that as an April Fools’ prank would be way too much effort for me to actually pull off so I’ll never do it But yeah at some point the Tournament Arc idea and the April Fool’s chapter idea kind of merged in my head, and these both kind of created Cloudy Thundrous. Because if I did make that chapter, it would end with Cloudy getting like a new powered-up form called Cloudy Thundrous
ANYWAYS when I saw this OC/Corruption Arc/Redemption Arc meme on deviantART (did leave out the Redemption part), I just… Yeah it just made me want to do it with Cloudy. And when I tried to think of what an “Evil Cloudy” would look like, Thundrous was kinda what I first thought of. Originally I always envisioned that Thundrous would look more like Cloudy but just glowing with kinda spiky hair (IDK something like Killua in HxH when using Godspeed), but I figured the black hair and cloud shawl thing would add to the “evil vibe”- also it contrasts really nice with the lightning and makes those pop out a lot! So yeah I just wanted to doodle something super fun for myself and here I am, I had fun, enjoy this doodle and giant wall of text
