Trying to get back into the swing of things before going to uni where the whimsy will be sucked away for form and render studies, though I'm hoping to use these fellas for my game class, depends what's exactly in store for the course

Honestly not too thrilled with how I drew Jimmy, kinda reminds me of the dude from Open Season. Maybe it's what he deserves

I am an active painting hater [I just don't have the patience or skill], so if you told me just a little over a month ago that what would get me painting would be King Candy? I'd call you mad, and think why in the hell would it be King Candy?

Full page of sketches, did some dodgy looking movie studies... wanna try and draw him more movie accurate but I don't think he looks as yucky as he deserves to look. Also not sure whether to lean more towards movie proportions or something more "realistic". King Candy and Cybug coming sooooooon-ish maybe. Hopefully

Do you have any lore for your many clowns or are they mostly just designs?

Yeah they've got lore [The seconds clowns in each post specifically, the first ones are just me turning my other characters into clowns.]

It's still kinda half baked since I'm not good at fleshing things out, but essentially clowns can be seen as like angels/demons in the universe. That's because they serve 'Time', and carry out duties under it because 'Time' isn't a physical thing [I mean the clowns aren't completely either but that's kinda confusing haha].

Clowns are generally broken down into 6 catergories. We got; Augustes, Fools/Buffoons, Harlequins, Jesters, Pierrots, and 'Tramps' [I'm planning on trying to workshop the name, because that's technically the name for that style of clown, but I don't think it's entirely nice/appropiate].

Augustes are your generic bright clowns [e.g. Buttercup, Noodle etc.],

Fools are just really aggressive, usually seen in groups' [e.g. Lollypop, Poppyseed]

Harlequins generally have 3 pointed hats, and carry out more important roles [e.g. Amelie, Snickerdoodle]

Jesters are like 'lesser' Harlequins, generally having 2 pointed hats, and sometimes having a sort of 'theme' [e.g. Jambles, Sherbet]

Pierrots are the easiest to categorise, always black and white [e.g. Giggle, Cornflake]

"Tramps" are most human like in appearance and behaviour, usually wearing suits and more human like hats [e.g. Pumpernickel, Peanut]

Hope that wasn't too much info but the clowns are pretty fun for me. Might even do an info sheet about the different types at one point.
