Shipping opinion- Power Imbalance

I don’t like power imbalance ships for example:

boss x worker

mentor x trainee

captor x captee

master x servant

The issue is that I see a lot of these ships normalize manipulation and glamorize toxic behavior.

The love isn’t typically born from anything romantic but instead uses gaslighting, abuse, and manipulation.

Even if the author genuinely writes the person in power as an 'okay' person, it doesn't change the fact that there's still a lingering sense of dread—because they could literally ruin the other person's life if they wanted to.

If someone were to write it just express the consequences and how it isn’t healthy between the characters rather than sexualizing it.

WAIT A SECOND

Is it just me or does no one else question this? WHY DOESNT OCTAVINELLE GET SOME TYPE OF ACCOMODATION WHEN THEY CLEARLY HAVE TROUBLE FLYING!? There sea creatures they arent used to flying and maneuvering in air is clearly a foreign concept to them -Flying requires both balance and wind resistance -Yes you could hypothetically learn how to fly but its shown to be increasingly difficult for them -Flying probably feels uncomfortable to them and the adaption to the unpredictability of flying is clearly a struggle -Its shown an obvious difference that Octavinelle struggles way more than the average student yet they get nothing to help with this?! racist crowley... just racist... /J

Rant

To be honest I would've liked to seen Jason as a third wheel of some sorts. Piper and Leo know each other well from Wilderness Camp but it's never really built on? Wouldn't Jason be left out considering he's the one with no knowledge of the the two. They only have a mist-altered fake memory of him. For example: Piper and Leo could be telling a funny story from camp and Jason would have no idea what they were talking about and the two would be like 'oh yeah he wasn't there' It's odd to me how he never felt odd being added into the group It would have been interesting to see Jason try to catch up with the group and Jason missing some jokes Leo made about actual situations at camp. Piper and Leo's pre-existing friendship barely shows up, they dont get much moments together that emphasize it either, and It makes the two seem like they have a weaker bond. I want to see tension and moments where they actually develop as characters and friends ex: Piper could lean on Leo for comfort at first rather than Jason Also Jason and Piper continuing there relationship despite not knowing anything about each other makes ZERO sense, they both find each other attractive but that doesn't mean anything. If you wanted to make them relationship make them slowly fall in love with each other or a temporary breakup until they actually get to know each other.

Twisted Wonderland Yuu Idea

Honestly I would love a Yuu that came from a post-apocalyptic world. For example the 60 seconds game universe: Where there is a nuclear bomb that explodes causing you to go out and ration supplies. It doesn't specifically have to be a nuclear bomb it could be a virus or something. But it would be interesting seeing them in a new area where there is magic and normalcy. -Ramshackle wouldn't be that bad for them, considering they live in a bunker. -They have breathable air and can go out without the risk of dying or getting sick. -Yuu would also be going insane considering the closed environment there forced to be in with other people. -Yuu was constantly forced to make decisions to live so this builds opportunities for trauma -for example: losing family members or lover due to sickness, constant fear of failure, and a promise that they would never leave this situation. This is just a short idea though, if you want to add your thoughts go ahead.
