Korda, Spring and Winter
Scene from my comic/game.
The area of Korda is mostly flat with light hills but further north it props into these huge, undulating mountain ranges with gigantic, old trees out and about. Winter is harsh, cold, lots of snow, but amazingly the trees persist and leaves come back in spring, eager as ever.聽
Once the frost gives way to the warmth of spring, leaves and grasses begin sprouting and flourishing about, the warmth of the three suns cascade down past the sporadic, albeit very thick canopies of the old woods.
Be wary of solitary souls that haunt the hills.

Varessa
One of the last rare spawns for set 1, she's a malformed spawn of the goddess of destruction and can insta-kill you if you're unlucky so, ah, yeah, you've been warned聽
There are various 'daughters of Dayhassha' in the original story, all of them have some horrific deformity to them. Thought they'd be an interesting addition to the card game, a bit more lore-oriented, but I guess that'll come out more as the game and comic develop hehe.聽
Did I mention she can insta-kill you? Yeah聽

Last hero card for the set, well most likely, if I have a ton of spare time before I have to send this to print then maybe I'll see what other cards I can squeeze in. But yeah, she's basically the main caster-looking character, medium-low-health but very high energy, which makes for interesting combinations when she gets paired with a non-caster class... might have to just spam class abilities to help make up for the low HP.
She does regenerate HP as she moves through a dungeon, every 3 rooms she moves through she can heal for 1 HP, so if you're lucky enough to come across good armor or other means to mitigate damage you could probably do a strong run with her

Ghedian
A rare spawn, he's strongest in the Ghediax, still a bit of a tough fight elsewhere. Named after the necropolis he guards, his spiritforever roaming his world in a blind haze of burning away his undeath and regenerating it as more souls pass through the halls of the Ghediax.
If you beat him you can get his sword! Cool, right? :)
I want to add Camathus but I don't know if I'll get to him in time for the first set's release, might have to be in an expansion. There's a mechanic I'm still working on but I'm trying to see if I can fit in onto a card where if you beat it and you have an item (his sword) you can recruit him to be in your party as a brave character; when you add to your party brave characters go to your right and participate in combat and are first to get hit, and cunning characters are added to your left and provide buffs/effects but can still take damage and die. Will have to see though, would be fun I think

Sharp Pixels vs. AV Famicom Composite via Sony KV-27S42
This one isn鈥檛 meant to be zoomed in on unless you want face full of warped corner convergence, but the Discord really liked this so I thought I鈥檇 share.

Salek Sar, Archmage
I've worked on a couple of iterations on this character over the years but I wanted to do one where he's a bit younger and first forming his crazy cult of fire and ash worshippers. There's bits about him throughout my online portfolios here and there, a couple of later versions of him which I'll probably put into the game later.
As a boss fight he's pretty straight forward, mainly a dps vs durability fight, you either burn him down faster than he burns you down (pun intended) or you try to out-heal his damage while you chip away at him, saying you have a class + gear set up that can mitigate all the hits. Small-ish health pool, a lot smaller than Ulonth's, so you got a shot :)

Ulonth
The remnant of an old titan, leftovers from the creation of the world, now mindless and forever hulking across the land.
I think, maybe like 4 people in the world might know that name lol, if you played Elthinia and got really far in then you might've fought the first iteration of this guy; this is kind of how I envisioned him originally, this gigantic maw of teeth with giant arms and little stalks for legs.聽
Right now he's a bit too strong, on every 3rd turn he tries to swallow you whole and if he does then he eats a ton of your health every turn, basically you'll die in 1-3 turns from that point on. The hope that you have is that while you're in his gullet you deal 2x damage, so hopefully you can shred him from the inside out before you get dissolved into nothingness.

Withered Stalker
Wanted to have a kind of predator for the Gray Wastes, but given that hardly anything ever goes there sustenance would be few and far between; it's mostly skin and sinew, bony spikes and ribs and teeth.聽
A lot of the art for this game started from spitpaints, although the final illustrations are often vastly different than the originals. I mainly use the spitpaints as a kind of scaffolding that I build out the ideas from, like this one was originally the Chaos Rider spitpaint I did years ago, but the main things I kind of kept were some of the shape of the head and the long, spiky hind legs which I rotated down to be more stilt-like and be more of a physical design motif

Gellic
Regular version that you will see more likely than not. Only a couple of alchemical chambers in this body, just as voracious and ravenous as its bigger, more rare brethren.
Standard risk/reward play with these guys though, e.g. you can choose to fight it as is and then if you win pick if you want VP, XP, or flip over the back and see if you get loot or an event, or if you chance into the elite version of this you'll get all 3 upon defeating it. I'm still debating about giving it a defeat trigger for the elite version where you'll get a small free heal, but not sure; one advantage of making everything myself is that I can just see about putting an updated version out later with another set

Prism Gellic
Rare spawn which shows up only if you have 2 or more items acquired during the current run and aren't at full HP; rare spawns will have different trigger conditions to fight them, most times they won't be too stringent.聽
Most gellics are simpler forms, less body units and fewer legs, also with more straight forward fluids residing inside. If you beat this you'll get a relic that grants you bonus armor and elemental resistances which you can sacrifice to heal yourself back up to full health. If you do, though, then it's banished from the game and you'll have to hunt down another prism gellic in order to acquire its hide again

The Two-Sided Statue of Mephistopheles and Margaretta
This 19th-century sculpture, displayed at the Salar Jung Museum in India, is carved from a single log of sycamore wood. Created by an anonymous French sculptor, it features Mephistopheles and Margaretta, the iconic characters from Goethe's "Faust," on opposite faces.
